The T200M includes the T207M/NP, T208M/BL, T207M and T208MT207S/NP,
T208S/BL, T207S and T208S. The T200M Installation Manual is designed for field
use by personnel who install these telephones in AeonixCoral FlexiCom and IPx
systems. This manual offers detailed information about these telephones, including
specifications, internal hardware, interface circuit operation, and installation
procedures.

General Information
The T207M/NP, T208M/BL, T207M and T208M phones are IP telephones that
support Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP). The T207M/NP, T208M/BL,
T207M and T208M combine the ability to communicate with the IP world with the
solid dependability and high level of functionality available from the Coral system.
They can be used in a typical office environment to connect to the Coralvia the IP
environment from an external location, enabling telecommuting without losing the
benefits of Coral’s rich features.
Figure 1, Figure 2 and Figure 3 depict the T207M/NP, T208M/BL, T207M and
T208M. Table 1 describes the phone features.
Features
The phone includes the following features:
Four programmable keys with removable faceplate
Four soft keys that allow the user to activate the various context-sensitive
phone features that appear on the bottom line of the graphic display
Navigator keys and OK button including four (up/down, right/left
navigator keys) used to scroll through features and options listed on the
display. An OK button is positioned between the navigator keys. It is used
to select options.
Volume button that controls the speakerphone, handset, and ringer volumes
Nine fixed function keys that allow quick activation of selected features
Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) that lights for incoming messages
Includes a Telephone Expansion Module (TEM) enabling the user to program
up to 44 speed dial numbers (in addition to the numbers in the phone book)
IEEE 802.3 10BaseT / 802.3u 100BaseTx compliant

T207M, T208M, and T208M/BL support 115VAC 60Hz and 230VAC 50Hz
with power over Ethernet as per IEEE 802.3 AF. Phones that are not
designated NP (“No Power” over Ethernet) support PoE (Power over the
Ethernet).
T207M/NP supports 115VAC 60Hz and 230VAC 50Hz without power over
Ethernet as per IEEE 802.3 AF
Supports multiple Audio Codecs: G.711 a-law/-law, G.729A, G.723.1T207
T208M, T208M/BL - includes a six-line display, 21 characters each line
(128x64 pixels)
T207M, T207M/NP - includes a three-line display, 21 characters each line
(128x32 pixels)
T208M/BL - includes a back light for graphic display illumination

Phone Features Component Description
Dial Pad (Key Pad) Buttons used to dial a phone number or activate a feature
Volume Control Used to adjust the ring, speakerphone, headset, and
handset volume
During Idle or Ringing: Ring Volume is adjusted
During Conversation: speaker,handset or headset volume is
adjusted.
Fixed Function keys Nine fixed telephony feature keys are factory set and
labelled for: Message, Conference, Directory, Headset,
Transfer, Redial, Hold, Mute and Speaker.
For details, refer to the item description in this manual.
Microphone Input device for sound used in hands free operation found
on the lower side panel of the phone, towards the right.
User Programmable
Keys These keys can be used for line select, speed dialing and
frequently-used features.
A green LED lights when key is activated.
Navigator keys &
OK button Up/Down Right/Left keys used to navigate menus and menu
items.
Use the OK button to select a menu item.
Soft Keys Keys used to directly activate feature options.
The functions associated with soft keys change according to
the phone status or place in the menu hierarchy.
Graphic Display Displays relevant calling/menu/line information, based on the
phone status (e.g., idle, busy, dialing...).
T207 display size:
3 lines, 21 characters each (128 x 32 pixels)
T208 display size:
6 lines, 21 characters each (128 x 64 pixels)
Ring and Message
Waiting Lamp Lamp flashes when ringing for incoming calls.
Lamp flashes more rapidly to indicate a waiting message.
Hook Switch On-hook or off-hook for handset.
Handset Latch Used to catch the handset when wall mounted or for
elevated (60° or higher) desktop mounts.
Loudspeaker Loudspeaker is automatically activated as part of the built-in
speakerphone feature during handsfree telephone use.
Loudspeaker also amplifies the phone's ring.

TEM The Telephone Expansion Module (TEM) is an optional unit
that increases the number programmable buttons available
on your phone. These 2 x 22 programmable buttons can be
configured from the phone or from the phone’s web page.
Use the shift left/right buttons to program another 22
buttons.

1Unpack the phone. See Unpacking and Assembling the Phone, page 21.
2Verify that all components have been supplied.
3Verify that none of the components are damaged.
4If components are damaged and/or missing, contact your supplier. Otherwise
proceed to the next procedure.

Connecting the Phone
1Connect a LAN cable to the phone. See Connecting the Phone to the LAN/PC,
page 29.
2Connect to the power source as follows:
Connect the AC power supply adapter.
For phones that include a PoE/Adapter selection switch, turn the Power
Source switch to “Adapter”. Turn the Power Source switch to “PoE”, if
powered from the LAN. See Setting the Power over Ethernet (PoE) Switch
(T207M, T208M, T208M/BL), page 25.
3Connect the PC port to your PC. See Connecting the Phone to the LAN/PC,
page 29.
4Do one of the following:
Position the phone on desk. See Positioning the Phone on your Desk, page 31.
Mount the phone on wall. See Mounting the Phone onto the Wall, page 32.
