•This product aims to prevent or inhibit the theft of the motorcycle.
•Before contacting the TARAMPS technical support, read this manual, it contains all
information necessary for installation and use.
•The installation should be performed by a trained operator / technician.
•During installation, only use a multimeter to measure the voltage.
•For perfect operation, the ignition signal must be connected to the alarm. Always use
TARAMPS dedicated siren!
•Clean the place where the alarm will be fixed to ensure good adhesion. Keep it away from the
ignition module, spark plug and ignition coil.
•During installation make sure that the control unit is properly attached to and away from metal
parts. This may degrade the reception of the remote control signal, causing false shots when
using the presence function.
•The TMA Freedom module has a tilt sensor. It does not require any adjustment.

4) Remote Control Functions
FUNCTION ALARM RESPONSE
Note: If you hear four fast siren chirps
and turn lights blinks 4 times, it
indicates that was a triggering when
the alarm was armed .Item 7.2

INSTALLER: You can only use one Anti Carjacking type at a time, by
presence, or by Secret Button. Inform the user to use the ignition key . item 12
Only It can disable the alarm when the remote control is lost.
5) Types of Anti Carjacking (enable the secret button)
5.2 ANTI CARJACKING BY PRESENCE:
Pressing the Secret Button at any time will cancel the function.
5.1.1VALET FUNCTION: Is used to leave the motorcycle in a parking lot; for
example: without the need to indicate to the Valet the secret button position. Turn off
the ignition, hold the secret button pressed for 3 seconds, turn ligths blinks 3x, will
confirm the activation. To cancel, press the secret button for 1 second with the
ignition on.
Enable the function in the control module , ignition switched on, moving item 11.5
the PRESENCE control away from the motorcycle, anti carjaking function is
activated. After the time programmed for lock, short or long , the turn item 11.9
lights and the siren will sound. After another 20 seconds, the engine starts to fail
until it is permanently blocked.
To cancel, close the TR2-P control of the motorcycle and wait for the
transmission or press the OFF button on the TR2-P control.
5.1 ANTI CARJACKING by SECRET BUTTON: With the function enabled in the
control module, every time the ignition is switched on, the Secret Button item 11.6
must be pressed for 1 second, otherwise it will activate the carjacking function. After
the time programmed for lock, short or long , the turn lights and the siren item 11.9
will sound. After 20 seconds, the engine starts to fail until it is permanently blocked.
ATTENTION: Only the PRESENCE control can cancel the Anti Carjacking
by Presence. If the remote control is lost, turn off the alarm by the ignition
password until a new control is recorded for the cancel this function, item
11.3.
It is necessary to replace the battery of the control every 6 months or when the
alarm gives 1 beep when turning the ignition on, informing that the control
battery is low item 7.6.
The PRESENCE control must be in contact with the rider, separated from the
key and not close to metallic objects such as coins or cell phones, this may
cause interference into transmission.
ATENTION: Function canceled in the DEFAULT settings. It is necessary to
enable the Automatic Transmission of the TR2-P control and to item 6.1
enable the anti carjaking by Presence in the alarm central. item 11.5

6) Presence function -TR2-P control
6.2 DISABLING THE PRESENCE MODE IN THE TR2-P CONTROL:
Press the buttons simultaneously until the LED turns off and blinks 2x.
2) Check if the transmission of the presence signal to keep is enabled; item 6.1
3) Keep the ignition off;
4) Hold the buttons pressed until the LED turns off and flashes (1) blink. Do this near
the motorcycle (as would be the real situation).
Every 2 seconds, the control will transmit the presence signal. The alarm will sound (1) beep
Every time when it receives the signal from the control.
*THESE FUNCTIONS DEPEND ON THE ANTI CARJACKING BY PRESENCE -
ENABLED 1ST. BEEP. ITEM 11.5
6.3 PRESENCE TEST:
To avoid the alarm triggering when the motocycle is running, activate the transmission again.
This function allows to do the blocking test without need the remote control far away from the
motocycle.
To exit the function, press any button of the TR2-P control.

6.1 ENABLING PRESENCE MODE IN THE TR2-P CONTROL:
Press the buttons simultaneously until the LED turns off and blinks 1x.
Then the presence signal will be transmitted every 30 seconds.
TRANSMISSION IS DISABLED AS DEFAULT.

7) Alarm Functions
Turning the ignition on or moving the motorcycle (with the tilt sensor active) will
back the system to normal, thereby powering the RF system. Turn off the alarm by
the remote control as soon as the turn lights start blinking. Otherwise, after 10
seconds the alarm will trigger siren, turn lights and lock the engine. The alarm can
also be turned off by the ignition key .item 12
7.3.2 VIOLATION OF THE TILT SENSOR IN SLEEP MODE NEED AN ACTION.
7.1 SHUTDOWN-LIMITATION OF ALARM TRIGGERS: In case of violation, the
alarm will trigger the siren and flash turn light for 45 seconds. After 5 seconds, the
sensors will be monitored. If it is triggered 4 times by the same sensor, this will be
disabled, keeping the other ones active. It will only be monitored again when
7.2 ALARM TRIGGER REPORT: When you disarm the alarm and hear 4 beeps, it
means that the alarm was triggered. To identify the cause, press the button on any
control, BEFORE the next arm. The number of siren beeps indicates the trigger
motive, as shown in the table below:

7.3 SLEEP FUNCTION (motorcycle battery saving)
Exclusive for the TARAMPS Alarm. Function enabled by defaut. item 11.10

When the alarm is turned on by the remote control, after 24 hours, the system enters
Sleep mode. In this mode, motorcycle battery consumption is 17 times lower than in
normal mode. All sensors remain operative, triggering the alarm at any violation
attempt. However, for, the RF (Remote Control Receiving System) system is
temporarily turned off, so the alarm center does not respond to remote control
commands.
7.3.1 HOW TO DISARM THE ALARM WHEN IN SLEEP MODE?
The tilt sensor is not violated by simply changing the position of the motorcycle. It
will, such as sitting on the seat of the motorcycle, to exit the Sleep mode. After
that, the turn lights will turn on for a few seconds and blink fast. Press the disarm
button on the remote control.
7.4 AUXILIARY OUTPUT - Gray Wire
Output with negative signal enabled by the AUXILIARY button on the remote
control.
By the HOME button of the TR2 and TR2-P controls, it is possible to activate the
automatic gates or home alarm, without the needing of an auxiliary module, only
learning the control in the control panel.
The TR2 or TR2-P control must be rconfigured according to the home alarm or gate
manufacturer's instructions, .
Compatible with CODE LEARNING systems.
7.5 HOME function of the control TR2 and TR2-P:
When installing to start the motorcycle engine, it will be necessary to use auxiliary
module and connect the Green wire to the negative signal of the gear neutral
sensor to identify that it is neutral, in other cases connect the Green wire to the
GND.

7.6 LOW BATTERY WARNING TR2-P: When the ignition is turned on, a long
beep is given if the alarm has detected a low-battery remote control. This feature
works only for the control TR2-P, control with presence function.
If the presence function is enabled in the remote control, the battery consumption
will be faster. In order to continue working, it is important to pay attention to the
warnings and replace the battery when needed. Always use good quality battery
(Tip: use the same brand as in the control).
8) On / Off by Presence Function
When you move it away, the alarm will be activated automatically after a few minutes without
siren beep and or blinking turn lights.
If the ignition is switched on or the motorcycle is moved before receiving the presence signal,
the turn lights will flash for 40 seconds (siren will not sound). To turn it off, press the Control Off
button or wait until the control sends the presence signal. The 'Off by Approach' function will
only work if the alarm has been armed by moving away from the Presence control.
The TR2-P control emits a signal that is received by the central alarm when it is close to the
motorcycle. This function (programmable - ) allows the user to turn on the alarm Item 10.11
simply by moving the remote control away from the motorcycle.
The alarm may take up to 30 seconds to disarm when moving closer the remote control TR2-P
to the motorcycle.
Only the TR2-P control supports this feature. To work properly, the automatic transmission
must be activated, .Item 6.1
For perfect operation, securely fix the control unit in the motocycle body.
NOTE: The control unit can be fixed at any angle.
The TARAMPS TMA Freedom alarm has an accelerometer in the control unit, which check
and store the tilt of the motorcycle when turned on by the remote control when it is changed,
triggers the alarm.

11) Programming
Wait for the beep of the desired function, as shown in the table below. Disconnect the Orange /
Black wire to confirm the programming change.
While programming, keep the turn lights off. After every process, insulate the orange / black
programming wire.
Turn the ignition on, and then connect the Programming wire (Orange / Black) to the + 12V of
the motorcycle battery.

12) Ignition Password - Disable Alarm Without Control
How to use:
1- Turn the ignition off and wait 5 seconds;
Wait 3 seconds;
3- Turn the ignition on and off according to the second digit number (default 3).
In case of problems with the remote control (low battery, malfunction or loss), it is possible to
disable the alarm by the ignition password even when triggered. With the alarm is disabled, it
won’t work until it is enabled again by the ignition password.
2 beeps: disable.
The alarm will signal after 2 seconds with:
2- Turn the ignition on and off according to the number of the first digit (default 3).
1 beep: enable;
13) Changing the ignition password

3- After the 4 beep, turn off the Orange / Black wire, the alarm will give 4 beeps and the

5. Wait 2 seconds (1 siren beep will be heard);
6- Turn the ignition on and off the number of times the second digit at the end and ignition
off;
4- Turn ignition on and off the number of times of the first digit;
1- Turn on the ignition;
After a few seconds, a long beep will be heard to confirm the new recorded password. If
you hear 2 beeps, a recording error has occurred. Perform the whole process again.
2- Connect the Orange / Black wire to the + 12V of the motorcycle battery;
