Assembly of your Tarpan Electric Scooter
1. Unpack the scooter and inspect all the parts to ensure nothing is missing. Be sure to have
someone else help you handle the scooter out of the box. Place your scooter on a flat, clean
surface. Place a block of 3.5’’ under the front, by the battery. This will make it easier for the
next step.
2. Insert the front part of the scooter into the connection tube of the platform and align
the bolt holes.
3. Slide the two bolts through the holes connecting tube and neck. Twist the bolts, do not
hammer them through.
4. Tighten the bolts and nuts using the 2 Allen wrenches in the tool kit. Also tighten the
small bolts on the outside of the tube clamp securely. Note : some models may have hex
bolts instead. Remove the support block so that the scooter rests on its three wheels.
Installing the Handlebar
1. Extend the handlebar tube to full upright position and insert it into the connection hole on
the front forks.
2. Ensure the handlebars are facing front with the brake on the left and the throttle on the
right, then tighten the handle bar hex bolts securely.
3. Pass the cables through the hooks provided for this purpose.

Charging the battery
Before recharging your scooter you must insert the circuit protection fuse into the fuse holder (1*)
located in the battery compartment under the footboard. The footboard tilts backwards (2*) after
removing the two screws located at the front of the footboard. The seat support must be removed in
order to tilt the footboard.
Before riding your electric scooter for the first time, the unit, should be fully charged. Ride your scooter
until the battery is fully discharged before recharging it. Doing this 3-5 times will ensure maximum
battery efficiency and scooter performance. Once this has been done, for best results.
The batteries should be recharged frequently, at least once every 30 days for longest battery life. Leaving
the battery uncharged for more than 3 months will significantly decrease the battery lifespan.
To charge the batteries, plug the charger into the socket located at the rear of the battery compartment,
then plug the charger into the wall outlet. The light on the charger will be red when the unit is
charging the batteries. When the light turns green, the charge is complete.
Be sure the charger is properly connected to the scooter. The connector is indented so that it will fit
only one way. Do not force the connection. It should slide easily into the unit when correctly aligned.
Installing the seat
1. Insert the seat support rod into the hole provided for this purpose in the footboard (1) and
insert the safety pin under the footboard (2).
2. Assemble the seat, connecting rod and backrest support with 4 nuts.
3. Insert the seat on the support rod (3)
4. Assemble the backrest on its support with 3 nuts.

not frayed or damaged.
• Make sure tires are inflated to their proper pressure as indicated on the tires.
• Test brakes to ensure they are operating before increasing speed.

footboard. To access the batteries, remove the screws that hold on the battery cover and
carefully disconnect the wires from the battery terminal, marking each wire to ensure that it
will be reconnected to the correct connector. Replace the batteries and reconnect the wires
to the correct connectors. Replace and secure the cover. Fully charge the batteries before
attempting to use.
