Thisunitisdesignedtooperateon powersuppliedfrom system connected. / Whenacomponent
requires service, use thesystem connectionstosupplypowersource. / For system connections,

5. Service Mode Function of CassetteMechanism
Thisunitisequippedwithaservice modefunction ofcassettemechanism, sothatiftheunit
operates incorrectly, thefaultdisplayedusing anerror codeon theFL display oftheTuner/
Amplifier(SA-EH590). Thesystem control ICand FLdisplay arepartoftheTuner/Amplifierso
make surethesystem has beenconnectedproperlybeforeusing thisfunction. Use thisfunction
during maintenance tocheck faultsofitemsbelow.
5.1. Cassette tapetobeprepared

5.2. Selecting service mode
1. Turnon thepowertotheunit.
2. Make surethat no tapeisinsertedinthecassette deck. (Service
modecannotbeselectedwithatapeinsertedinthecassette deck.)
3. Press theDOLBYNR button forabout2seconds, and keep
pressing it, alsopress theSTOPbutton forabout2seconds. Refer
to Fig. 5-1.
