HowToUseThePARIFilterSet
IntendedUse:
ThePARIFilterSetistobeusedwheninhalingnebulised
antibiotics.Itpreventscontaminationoftheenvironmentby
thepatient’sexhaledair.ThePARIFilterSetshouldbeusedfor
inhalationtherapyofanymedicationwhichmaybehazardous
tohealthifinhaledconstantly.Dueconsiderationfortheuse
ofthePARIFilterSetshouldbegivenbynursingstaffinthe
hospitaloraparentassistingtheirchildwhennebulising
antibiotics.Italsohelpspreventantibioticresistance.

HowtoAssembletoLCPLUS/LCSPRINT
1) Placeafilterpad(2)intheexhalationfilterupperpart(1b).
2) Inserttheexhalationfilterlowerpart(1a)intheexhalationfilterupperpartwiththe
snaplocksintheholesprovided.
3) Closetheexhalationfilterbyturningitslowerpartclockwiseasfarasitwillgo.
4) InserttheY‐connection(3)intheexhalationfilterandonthenebuliser(5a).
5) Insertthemouthpiecewithouttheexpiratoryvalve(4)orBABYmask(6)ontothefree
endoftheY‐connection.
6) Connecttheinspiratoryvalve(7)totheLCPlus.
a) ThispartisnotnecessaryifyouareusinganLCSprint.




HowtousewithaneFlow®rapid
1) Placeafilterpad(2)intheexhalationfilterupperpart(1b).
2) Inserttheexhalationfilterlowerpart(1a)intheexhalationfilterupperpartwiththe
snaplocksintheholesprovided.
3) Closetheexhalationfilterbyturningitslowerpartclockwiseasfarasitwillgo.
4) InserttheY‐connection(3)intheexhalationfilterandontheeFlowrapidAerosol
chamber.
5) Insertthemouthpiecewithouttheexpiratoryvalve(4)orsmartmaskontothefreeend
oftheY‐connection.





CleaningyourFilterSet
ThePARIFilterSetmustbecleaned,disinfectedandsterilisedaftereachuse.Tocleanthe
FilterSet:‐
1) DismantleallpartsofthePARIFilterSet
2) Washinwarmwaterfor5minuteswithalittledishwashingliquid.
a) OR,washinthedishwasherplacingpartsincutlerybasket
3) Drainoffwell.
Disinfection
1) Placeallindividualpartsinboilingwaterfor15minutes.Iflocalwaterishard–use
distilledwater.
2) Donotletboildry.
3) Itisalsopossibletodisinfectinababybottlesteamsteriliser.E.g.NUKVaporiser6
