Disposal of the appliance and standards

may not, at the end of his life be disposed via the normal household waste, but should be taken to a collection
point for recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.

Safety
- Before using the device, please carefully read this manual.
- Please be aware of all the risks described in the manual.
- Please follow the instructions.
- Do not use the device if it has fallen into the water.
- For cleaning please use only a dry cloth.
- Please use only accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- Please disconnect the power supply in the event of a storm, or when the device will not be used long.
- All repairs must be performed by an authorized service.
- Protect the power cord from damage.
- Do not block the ventilation openings
- Please use the decoder in a temperate climate.
Note:
- Do not remove the cover.
- To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.
- Do not expose batteries to high temperatures, such as direct light of the sun, fire, etc..
2. Package content
Before using the device, please check the contents of the package. The box should contain:
- TerraBox T2
- Remote controller
- Remote controller batteries (2x AAA)
- User manual
3. Device description
a. Front panel
1. Power: pressing the button turns off / on the set-top box.
2. Power diode: when the light is green the device is turned on, the red off.
3. Remote controller sensor: used to receive the signal from the remote control.
4. reen LED display: used to display channel number or information.
5. USB port: for software upgrade and media playback.
6. CH+ : used to change channels without using the remote control.
7. CH - : used to change channels without using the remote control.
b. Rear panel
1. RF IN: this socket connects to your external Aerial.
2. RF LOOP: this socket will feed the RF signal to either your TV or another video system.
3. Coaxial: this socket outputs digital audio signal.
4. HDMI: high definition audio and video output used to connect to a HDMI device.
5. Audio-L: audio L output.
6. Audio-R: audio R output.
7. SCART: composite video output .
4. Remote controller
Power: switch the receiver in and out of standby mode; when in standby the
unit can pass through RF signal from RF IN to RF OUT.
TV/Radio: switch between digital radio and TV modes.
MUTE: to switch on/off volume.
<0>-<9>: numeric keys.
FAV: displays your favorite channels list; press FAV again to access to the other
favorite lists.
REC: it’s the PVR function to record the programs.
RECALL: go back to the previous viewed channel.
MENU: display main menu on TV screen, and press again to disappear menu.
INFO: display information about the current channel.
EXIT: use this key to quit current menu.
CH-/CH+: Program changing keys.
OK: to confirm current setting,or display channel list in no-menu mode.
VOL-/VOL+: to increase/decrease volume; press to move the cursor.
AUDIO: to select the preferred audio language TV channels.
EPG: shows the electronic program guide.
Red/Green/Yellow/Blue: use to navigate between pages in teletext
mode and special functions in Menu or EP
Sub: display subtitle options.

6. Software update
The USB port allows software updates. Latest software version should be available on www.technisat.com
Software update procedure:
1. Copy the update file on a flash drive formatted as FAT32
.
2. Connect the USB stick to the set-top-box.
3. Call the main menu, go to Settings and select Software Update.
The update will begin after a few seconds.
Warning: During software update do not power off and do not disconnect the pendrive!
