REGOLE PER UNA CORRETTA INSTALLAZIONE DEL CONVERTITORE CONV RS232-485
Al fine di garantire un corretto ed affidabile funzionamento del dispositivo, è necessario attenersi alle
indicazioni fornite in questo documento per l’installazione del CONV RS232-485.
NORME PER LA SICUREZZA
ATTENZIONE:
Leggere attentamente questo documento prima di iniziare ad utilizzare il dispositivo. Conservare le istruzioni
per una futura consultazione.
Non aprire l’apparecchio, toccare i componenti interni potrebbe provocare scosse elettriche. Per
ridurre i rischi di scosse elettriche, non smontare in nessun caso il dispositivo. Inoltre l’apertura invalida la
garanzia.
Prima di collegare il dispositivo all’alimentazione accertarsi che tutti i collegamenti siano stati
eseguiti correttamente. Togliere sempre l’alimentazione al dispositivo prima di effettuare qualsiasi
modifica sul cablaggio.
Qualsiasi intervento sull’apparecchio deve essere affidato ad un tecnico riparatore qualificato.
La mancata osservanza di queste precauzioni può provocare danni, incendi o scosse elettriche, con
possibili lesioni gravi!
ALIMENTAZIONE
Il CONV RS232-485 può essere alimentato da 12 a 24 Vac.
Accertarsi prima dell’uso che il cavo dell’alimentazione non sia danneggiato, annodato o schiacciato. Non
manomettere il cavo di alimentazione. Non staccare mai l’alimentazione tirando il cavo, evitare di toccare gli
spinotti. Non effettuare operazioni di collegamento/scollegamento con mani bagnate. Non utilizzare oggetti
come leve per scollegare l’alimentazione del dispositivo. Staccare subito l’alimentazione se si constata che il
dispositivo emana un odore di bruciato o del fumo: contattare l’assistenza.
LIQUIDI
Non esporre l’apparecchiatura a gocce o schizzi di liquidi, non posizionare in luoghi con umidità oltre il 90%
e non toccare mai con mani bagnate o umide durante i temporali. Se un liquido penetra all’interno del
dispositivo togliere immediatamente l’alimentazione e contattare l’assistenza tecnica.
PULIZIA
Prima di pulire il dispositivo disconnettere sempre il cavo di alimentazione, per spolverare utilizzare un
panno asciutto, senza solventi o detergenti, e dell’aria compressa.
OGGETTI
Non inserire mai oggetti nelle fessure del dispositivo. Se ciò accade scollegare il dispositivo e rivolgersi ad
un tecnico.
UTILIZZO RISERVATO A PERSONALE COMPETENTE
Il bene acquistato è un congegno elettronico sofisticato per cui assolutamente non idoneo all’uso da parte di
personale non qualificato. Qualsiasi intervento dovrà essere eseguito da un tecnico specializzato.
ACCESSORI
L’utilizzo di accessori o parti di ricambio non originali potrebbe causare danni al dispositivo e mettere a
rischio la sicurezza dell’utilizzatore. Nel caso di guasti contattare l’assistenza tecnica.
MONTAGGIO DISPOSITIVO
Il CONV RS232-485 deve essere montato su un quadro rispettando sempre le seguenti indicazioni:

LOCAZIONE
Installare il dispositivo indoor in luoghi protetti da schizzi d’acqua e raggi solari. Non posizionare vicino a
fonti di calore superiori ai parametri indicati nel presente manuale. Posizionare su superfici stabili, lontano da
vibrazioni. Posizionare il dispositivo più lontano possibile da eventuali campi magnetici di forte intensità.
RIPARAZIONI
Non aprire il dispositivo. Per eventuali guasti rivolgersi sempre a personale qualificato. L’apertura del
dispositivo e/o la rimozione dell’etichetta identificativa della serie comporta la decadenza automatica della
garanzia. Ad ogni dispositivo viene applicato il sigillo di garanzia Warranty, qualsiasi tentativo di apertura
comporta la rottura del sigillo e la conseguente decadenza automatica della garanzia.

Il CONV RS232-485 ha un range di alimentazione da 12 a 24 Vac (morsetti ~- ~).
IN/OUT RS232 Collegare il doppino 24 AWG tenendo
conto delle Indicazioni: 2 =Rx
3=Tx
5=GND (*)
Il convertitore non necessita di alcun settaggio, si consiglia di tenere il microswitch sulla
posizione 1, in quanto in genere non occorre attivare la terminazione 120 ohm sul
converter.
Per quanto riguarda la gestione del flusso TX/RX (DTR), avviene in modo automatico,
quindi non occorre nessun controllo.
IN/OUT RS485 (Seguire lo standard IEA RS485). Collegare il doppino 24 AWG
tenendo conto delle polarità + e - e posare la rete evitando di creare curve
strette o avvolgimenti ad anello, al fine di non modificare l’impedenza di linea.
Se fosse necessario è disponibile anche il morsetto per il collegamento di
massa GND. Posizionare sempre il doppino RS485 lontano dai cavi di potenza
(*) Su connettore a 9 poli (per il connettore a 25 poli usare il PIN 7)
Posare la rete evitando di creare curve strette o avvolgimenti ad anello, al fine
di non modificare l’impedenza di linea. Posizionare sempre il doppino RS232
lontano dai cavi di potenza.

RULES FOR THE CORRECT INSTALLATION OF THE CONVERTER CONV RS232-485
In order to guarantee the correct and reliable operation of the device, follow the instructions supplied
in this document about the installation of the CONV RS232-485.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
ATTENTION:
Read this document carefully before starting to use the unit. Keep the instructions for future reference.
Do not open the device, touching any internal components can cause electric shock. To reduce the
risk of electric shock, do not dismantle the device for any reason. Moreover its opening would void the
warranty.
Before connecting the device to the power supply, make sure that all the connections are correct.
Always disconnect the unit from the supply before any cabling modification.
Any work on the equipment must be entrusted to a qualified engineer.
Failure to comply with these instructions can cause damages, fires or electric shock, and possible
serious injuries!
POWER SUPPLY
The CONV RS232-485 can be supplied by 12 to 24 Vac.
Before using it, make sure the power cable is not damaged, knotted or pinched. Do not tamper with the
power cable. Never disconnect the unit by pulling the cable, avoid touching the pins. Do not carry out any
connecting/disconnecting with wet hands. To disconnect the device, do not use objects such as levers.
Immediately disconnect the device if you smell burning or see any smoke: contact technical service.
LIQUIDS
Do not expose the equipment to splashes or drops, do not position it in places with humidity exceeding 90%
and never touch with wet or humid hands during storms. If any liquid penetrates the unit, disconnect it
immediately and contact technical service.
CLEANING
Disconnect the power cable before cleaning the unit, use a dry cloth to dust it, without any solvent or
detergents, and compressed air.
OBJECTS
Never insert any objects into the cracks of the unit. If this happens, disconnect the unit and contact an
engineer.
USE RESERVED TO QUALIFIED PERSONNEL
The purchased goods are a sophisticated electronic device that is totally unsuitable to be used by
non-qualified personnel. Any work must be carried out by a specialist engineer.
ACCESSORIES
The use of non-original accessories or spare parts can damage the unit and endanger users' safety. In the
event of faults, contact technical service.
FITTING THE DEVICE
CONV RS232-485 must be fitted on a panel complying with the following instructions:

LOCATION
Install the unit indoors, in a place protected from water splashes and sun rays. Do not place near heat
sources exceeding the parameters stated in this manual. Position on a stable surface, far from any possible
vibrations. Position the unit as far as possible from any intense magnetic fields.
REPAIRS
Do not open the unit. For any fault, always use qualified personnel. The opening of the unit and/or the
removal of the series identifying label entails the automatic forfeiture of the warranty. The Warranty seal is
applied to all devices, any attempt to open the unit would break the seal and cause the consequent
automatic forfeiture of the warranty.

The Product purchased is covered by the manufacturer's or seller's warranty at the terms and

The warranty is considered valid only when the product is damaged by causes attributable to
TECSYSTEM srl, such as manufacturing or components defects.
The warranty is invalid if the Product proves to have been tampered with / modified, incorrectly

data, as described in this instruction manual.

INSTRUCTION
CONV RS232-485 has 12-24 Vac power supply range (terminals ~ - ~).
IN/OUT RS232 Connect with twisted pair 24 AWG and
follow the indication 2 = Rx
3 = Tx
5 = GND (*)
(*) Of 9-pin connector (for the 25-pin connector, use the PIN 7) Lay the
network avoiding to create sharp bends or ring windings in order not to
change the line impedance. Always place the RS232 twisted away from the
power cables.
IN/OUT RS485 (Follow the standard IEA RS485). Connect the twisted pair 24
AWG taking into account the + and - polarities and lay the network avoiding to
create sharp bends or ring windings in order not to change the line impedance.
If it is necessary it is also available terminal for the ground connection GND.
Always place the RS485 twisted away from the power cables.
The converter does not require any setting, it is recommended to keep the microswitch in
position 1, as it generally is not necessary to activate the 120 ohm termination on the
converter.
As regards the management of the TX / RX flow (DTR), it takes place automatically, therefore
you do not need to test it.
