Installation instructions for kit number 9020103
SYNOPSIS:
This kit contains the parts needed to install a deluxe seat kit onto T17 scrubbers /
M17 sweeper- scrubbers.
Please follow step-by-step instructions.
SPECIAL TOOLS / CONSIDERATIONS: NONE
(Estimated time to complete: 1 hour)
PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT
Please dispose of packaging materials, used machine components
such as batteries and fluids in an environmentally safe way according
to local waste disposal regulations.
Always remember to recycle.
PREPARATION:
1. Park the machine on a clean level surface,
turn off the machine, set the parking brake,
and remove the key.
FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing
machine, stop on level surface, turn off
machine, and remove key.
2. Disconnect the battery cable from the
machine.
WARNING: Always disconnect battery
cables from machine before working on
electrical components.
3. Remove the battery from the machine.
FOR SAFETY: When servicing machine, use a
non- conductive battery removal device, use a
hoist and adequate assistance when lifting
batteries, follow site safety guidelines
concerning battery removal, and battery
installation must be done by trained
personnel.
INSTALLATION:
1. Disconnect the main wire harness from the
seat switch.
2. Remove the upper platform from the machine.
Set all mounting hardware aside. (Fig. 1)
3. Remove the existing seat from the machine.
Discard the seat, both slide tracks, and all
mounting hardware. (Fig. 1)

screws securing seat
support angles located on
bottom of upper platform to
support bracket. Set M4
SEMS hex screws aside.
Remove M4 SEMS
hex screw securing
platform mounting
plate located on
bottom of upper
platform to lower
platform. Set M4
SEMS hex screw
aside.
Upper platform

Remove hex screws
(Qty. 4) and flat
washers (Qty. 4)
securing seat to upper
support. Discard
removed hardware.
Remove operator seat
from upper platform.
Discard operator seat,
both slide tracks, and
hardware.

4. Use two pan screws (5) and two spacers (4)
to install the seat slide track with the latch (2)
and the seat slide track (3) onto the deluxe
operator seat (1). (Fig. 2)
5. Use four hex nuts (6) and four flat washers (7)
to install the deluxe operator seat assembly
assembled in the previous step onto the upper
platform. (Fig. 2)
6. Reinstall the upper platform onto the machine.
7. Connect the main wire harness to the seat
switch located on the bottom of the operator
seat.

8. Reinstall the battery into the battery
compartment.
FOR SAFETY: When servicing machine, use a
non- conductive battery removal device, use a
hoist and adequate assistance when lifting
batteries, follow site safety guidelines
concerning battery removal, and battery
installation must be done by trained
personnel.
9. Reconnect the battery cable to the machine.
10. Test the machine. Place the directional switch
in either forward or reverse. With no pressure
on the operator seat, turn on the machine and
press the propel pedal. The machine should
not move. Sit in the operator seat and again
press the propel pedal. The machine should
move in the direction in which the directional
switch is set.
