EXTREMELY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Safety precautions should always be used when operating
this or any electrical appliance. Decrease the risk of electrocution, electric shock, injury or fire by
reading and following all the warnings below:
Use only as described in this Therapure®air sanitizer owner’s manual. To reduce the risk of electric
shock, do not attempt to service the product in any way other than in the manner described in the
“CLEANING & MAINTENANCE” section of this manual.
UV LAMP SAFETY WARNING
Warning: UV light is harmful to bare skin and eyes and can cause temporary or permanent
loss of vision. When your Therapure®air sanitizer is turned on, you will see UV light through
the illuminated window at the front of the unit, and this is perfectly safe. However, it is not
safe to open the unit and look into the UV light. The unit contains a safety interlock to prevent
the unit from operating and the light from illuminating when the lid is open. The safety
interlock is a tiny button located on the plastic casing under the lid at the front of the unit
(please see safety interlock diagram on pg. 4). NEVER attempt to defeat the safety interlock
by pressing this button, as this can cause harmful exposure to UV light. To be safe, you
should ALWAYS unplug the unit before opening the lid.
Do not use the Therapure®air sanitizer outdoors.
Do not use the Therapure®air sanitizer in bathrooms or other humid environments, near fireplaces
or in areas where flammable or combustible vapors or products may exist.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, injury or fire, use only the wall adaptor provided.
Always turn off before unplugging the Therapure®air sanitizer from outlet.
Always turn off and unplug this product from outlet before cleaning the UV Lamp.
Never touch the internal parts within the Therapure®air sanitizer with any object.
Never operate the Therapure®air sanitizer if the wall adaptor is damaged or appears damaged.
Only qualified service personnel should ever replace or attempt to replace a damaged power cord.
Never use the power cord to pick up, carry, drag, pull, or lift the Therapure®air sanitizer. Do not pull
the cord against or around sharp corners or edges. This could result in injury to the user or damage
to the cord.
Always remove the wall adaptor from its power outlet by holding onto the wall adaptor itself and
pulling gently. Never pull on the cord itself to unplug it from its power outlet. Use care when operating
the Therapure®air sanitizer by keeping all fingers, body parts, hair, loose clothing and jewelry away
from openings.
Never touch the Therapure®air sanitizer or its plug when your hands are wet.
The Therapure®air sanitizer is an electrical appliance. Adult supervision is required when operating
the Therapure®air sanitizer in the presence of children.
The UV lamp should be cleaned regularly (every 4 months) to prevent excessive accumulation that
may reduce the unit performance.
This unit contains a UV lamp made of breakable glass. Be careful when handling.
This device contains mercury in the sealed ultraviolet lamp(s). Do not place your used lamp(s) in the
trash. Dispose of properly.
In case of lamp breakage, do not use a vacuum. Sweep debris into a plastic bag and dispose of
properly. Contact your local waste management authority for instructions regarding recycling and the
proper disposal of old lamp(s).
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this unit with any solid-state speed
control device.

Locate a level surface on which to place your Therapure®air sanitizer and a 120v outlet (follow
warnings described in the “SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS & WARNINGS” section of this manual). Position
your Therapure®air sanitizer at least one foot (12 inches) a way from the wall.
Plug in the unit. You are now ready to turn on your Therapure®air sanitizer!
Selecting a Setting
Set up your Therapure®air sanitizer as described in “Checking the Lamp”. Press the ON button to
activate your Therapure®air sanitizer and get ready to enjoy clean, sanitized air according to the
setting you select.
There are three settings controlled by the control knob. The different settings are LOW mode,

Your Therapure®air sanitizer has a 3 stage sanitizing process. First, the three-speed fan draws in
contaminated air at the base. Second, the powerful UV technology kills harmful airborne bacteria,
viruses and molds. Third, sanitized air circulates out of the top and back into the room.
The Therapure®air sanitizer UV lamp
should be cleaned after every 3-4
months of use (see the “CLEANING
& MAINTENANCE” section of this
owner’s manual for full directions).
Before using your Therapure®air sanitizer,
please read all safety instructions and warnings on
page 2 and the following important information.

Checking the Lamp
1. Always make sure your Therapure®air sanitizer is
unplugged before you open the unit.
2. Open up the unit by pressing the button on the front of
the unit. Swing back the lid of the unit.
3. Pull out the UV lamp by twisting the lamp assembly handle
counter clock wise and pull straight out.
4. Check that the UV lamp is intact and clean. Do not touch
the glass with your fingers. Fingerprints will significantly
reduce the performance of your air sanitizer.
5. If the lamp needs cleaning, follow the cleaning
instructions described in the “CLEANING &
MAINTENANCE” section of this manual.
6. If the UV lamp is broken or needs replacement,
contact 1.800.875.8577 or

7. Reinsert the UV lamp assembly unit and make
sure that the handle is in a locked postition.
8. Close the top of the unit and make sure the top
lid is securely locked in place.

OPERATING THE Therapure®AIR SANITIZER OPERATING THE Therapure®AIR SANITIZER

With very little effort, the Therapure®air sanitizer delivers sanitized air to your indoor environments.
Keep your Therapure®air sanitizer functioning properly by cleaning the UV lamp after every 3-4
months of use to prevent excessive accumulation that may reduce the units performance. More
frequent cleaning will be necessary if the unit is located in an area with a high level of
airborne contaminants (excessive amounts of smoke, pet dander, etc.).
Before cleaning your Therapure®air sanitizer, read all safety instructions and
warnings on page 2.
Always make sure your air sanitizer is turned off and unplugged before cleaning.
UV LAMP SAFETY WARNING
To prevent exposure to ultraviolet light, disconnect power to the unit before
servicing any part of the Therapure®air sanitizer.
To Clean the UV Lamp
1. Turn off and unplug your Therapure®air sanitizer.
2. Open up the unit by pressing the button on the front of the unit. Swing back the lid of the unit.
3. Allow the UV lamp to cool for at least 15 minutes.
Do not touch the UV lamp with your hands; use a cloth.
4. Pull out the UV lamp by twisting the lamp assembly handle counter-clockwise & pull straight up.
5. Remove the UV lamp by rotating the bulb until the 2 pins on
each end of the bulb align with the slots: then carefully remove.

7. Insert the UV lamp back into the lamp assembly. Rotate 90 degrees.
8. Re-insert the UV lamp assembly into the unit.
9. Make sure the handle is locked and in place.

Over time, some particles and dust may accumulate on
the external surfaces of your Therapure®air sanitizer.
Cleaning External Surfaces:
1. Turn off and unplug your Therapure®air sanitizer.
2. Use a moist washcloth with a little dishwashing
soap to wipe the outer case surfaces.
3. Do not allow water to slip into the internal parts
as this could damage its functioning and may
result in injury to you.
4. Allow the unit to thoroughly dry before
resuming use.
