The “speed” control rheostat is a combination “ON-OFF”
switch and setting selector. The fully counterclockwise
position is “OFF,” fully clockwise is maximum speed. To
select a speed, turn the “speed” control knob clockwise
until the desired mixing action is achieved. An additional
“ON-OFF” switch is provided to allow an operator to pre-
set a given speed on the rheostat. Once set, the stirrer
can be turned on and off without changing the desired
speed setting.
