Fixed speed centrifuge: User’s Guide 2/7
- Version du 10/06/2020 -
Technical Definition
10/10 stainless-steel
Ø 360 mm
Height : 820 mm
Weight : 69 kg
Single Phase 220 V –550 W
1500 rounds/minute
Honey Outpu height : 310 mm
Stainless-steel basket Ø 320 mm
The fixed speed centrifuge requires minimum
manipulation.
This process dries cappings simply and quickly.
The honey coming from the centrifuge keeps all its
qualities.
Tank
Made of stainless steel and with a diameter of 360
mm and a height of 420 mm, the tank is embedded
between an aluminium shell (6) supporting the top
cover and a moulded base forming the motor drive
unit.
Its 3 large steel feet and elastic pads absorb
vibrations and provide great stability.
The unit has a stainless-steel basket with a diameter of
320 mm and a height of 340 mm (2). The top of the basket engages in a ball bearing turntable (7)
that holds it in place during rotation. The height of the plate is adjustable (8) to ensure constant
pressure. Each machine is supplied with a nylon sieve to dry the cappings.

Motor
- Direct drive
- Flange mounting
- Special drive axle with cone and thread
- single phase motor 220 V, 550 W
- 1500 rnds/min
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
CAUTION : Before connecting the appliance to a power supply, make sure that your electric
installations comply with current standards (differential circuit breaker protection, earth wire,
etc.).
Check the supply voltage.
Before using the unit for the first time, clean it to remove any residual metal shavings or filings.
Make sure that the machine is secured to the ground (the machine is delivered with drilled stands
for this purpose).
The honey must not accumulate inside the centrifuge: always keep the output clear.
Always check that the inox basket is well fitted in the hexagonal drive shaft; never push hard on
the lid if it won’t close.

The unit is equipped with a lid locking device. The lid can be unlocked manually. To do so, loosen
the screw (A) and then turn the arrow (B) to the "open padlock" position.
This prevents the machine from being started and allows the lid to be opened if there is a power
failure or safety defect.
In order to start the extractor, the arrow must be returned to the " closed padlock " position.

USAGE GUIDE
First Use
- Switch on the machine (for safety reasons, the lid cannot be opened when the
instrument is off power or running).
- Unlock the toggle lock (2).
- Open the cover and place the large-mesh sieve in the basket (3).
- Load the lids to maximum halfway up the basket.
- Even out to avoid any imbalance.
- Close the lid, making sure that the basket is firmly seated in the lower housing and
that the rotating plate fits properly by forcing it a little (leave a 2 mm gap between the
lid and the pin).
- Lock the toggle (2).
- Place a container under the honey outlet pipe (1).
- Turn the knob to the ON position (4).
If the machine vibrates abnormally, set the switch to OFF and wait a few seconds. Then
turn the switch back ON until the machine is running smoothly. If necessary, open the
unit and equalize the load.
- Stop the machine by pressing the OFF button (4), the cycle is completed when the
honey is no longer flowing.
- The machine is equipped with a lid opening delay, wait for the release click to open the
machine. This time can be set within the housing attached to the unit (5).
- Take out the basket, clean it with hot water and put it back in place.
At the end of the day the honey farm is clean, the wax will be melted at another time.
It is recommended to have a second set of sieves to allow the uncappings to drip before
putting them in the machine.

MAINTENANCE
CAUTION : It is not recommended to wash the inside of the tank with plenty of water to
avoid any infiltration into the motor.
Make sure to protect the electric parts of the unit when cleaning.
Disconnect the machine from the power supply before any maintenance operation.
Remove the basket and sieves and soak them in a bucket of hot water, then wash the
edges of the tank with a sponge.
After washing, leave the engine running for general drying. At the end of the season,
introduce eatable grease under the drive hexagon.
Wash the upper rotating plate bearing in hot water. Grease.
The centrifuge is a seasonal equipment but should run regularly throughout the year (at
least a few minutes per month when empty). Store preferably in a dry room.

Frequent Questions
CAUTION : Unplug the machine before any maintenance operation.
Problem Possible solution
The machine does not start
- Check that the unit is connected to the power supply.
- Check the power supply (power failure).
- Check that the toggle is locked.
-
Check that the safety head is not dirty (9). If it is, remove it
and soak it in hot water.
-
Check that the arrow (B) on the lid locking device is in the
"closed padlock" position.
The machine is too loud
- Check that the basket is well fitted and that it is not more
than half full.
-
Check that the turntable, when closing the lid, is in contact
with the basket. If necessary, adjust its support by
tightening the nut on the machine cover.
- Check that the shock absorbers (10) are tight.
The machine wiggles too much - Take the basket out, shake it to replace evenly all the
cappings (do not load more than half the basket).
