3). MOTION DETECTOR
This detector detects the presence of a moving person in the room where it is
installed, and transmits the information to the central unit which sounds an alert.
Choice of location
For effective protection, follow the rules below when choosing where to place your
indoor motion detector:
- Do not place the detector opposite a window or a source of reflected light.
- Do not place the detector opposite a source of hot or cold air (radiator, air vent,
etc.).
- If you are using several detectors to cover the same room, ensure that the
beams do not cross.
- Place your detector at right angles to the through route (and not in the direction
of the through route).
A- The detector is facing a mirror (which reflects the sun's rays) and a
fireplace. The through route does not cross the beams at right angles.
B - The beams are crossing and one detector is opposite a window.
C - The door and the window are protected and the detector is installed so that
the through route crosses the beams at right angles.
D - The detector is installed so that the through route crosses the beams at right
angles.

Note: the range and detection sensitivity can be configured: see the settings below
Operation
The sensor on the front can detect variations in infra-red rays: when a living being
moves in front of the sensor, the motion is detected.
- An animal moving along the ground will not cause motion to be detected, as
long as its weight does not surpass the weight specified in the settings (15kg or
25kg)
Settings
Different settings can be accessed inside the detector:

- Switch 1: if it is lowered, this deactivates the LED on the front during a radio
transmission to be more discreet.
- Switch 2: if it is raised, detected movement triggers an alarm. If it is lowered, an
alarm will only be triggered if 3 detections take place consecutively, in order to
avoid false detections.
- Switch 3: if it is raised, all radio transmissions are followed by a 2 minute pause
to conserve battery life.
- Switch 4: sets the size of pets which are not to be detected by the product.
Switch up: <15kg. Switch down: <25kg.
- Adjustment dial: adjusts the detection range. Turn clockwise to increase the
distance, and turn anti-clockwise to reduce the distance. The range can be set
from around 30% to 100% of the maximum range.

contact with the wall and reconnect the loudspeaker connector, then replace
the cover of your indoor siren by tightening the screws and then replacing the
cover.
5). SMOKE DETECTOR
- For optimum protection, install a detector in each room.
- For minimum protection install one detector per floor, preferably in corridors
and stairwells.
- Switch on the smoke detector alarm (see TEST mode) in its final location and
check that you can hear it in every bedroom with the door shut and a radio on.
- The volume of the radio should be set to a level corresponding to a relatively
loud conversation. If you cannot hear the it due to the radio, it is highly likely
that your alarm would not be loud enough to wake someone who is asleep.

Precautions for positioning
Rules for installation
- Install the smoke detector as near to the centre of the ceiling as possible
(best configuration).
- Install the smoke detector high against the wall with a distance of between
10 cm and 30 cm from the ceiling (acceptable configuration).
- In rooms with sloping ceilings, install the detector on one of the sloping sides
of the roof between 10 cm and 100 cm from the highest point.
>10 cm
>10 cm
<30 cm
>10 cm
In general, to avoid false alarms, smoke detectors should not be installed:
- In the garage (combustion residues are present when the car is started).
- In the kitchen (smoke generated by hobs, oven, etc.).
- In front of heating installations or in front of a ceiling fan and other areas with
strong currents of air.
- In very humid areas or in bathrooms with a bath or a shower. The steam and
humidity may cause false alarms.
- In dusty areas. Dust particles may cause false alarms or prevent the smoke
detector from triggering.
To activate the stand-alone smoke detector alarm:
- Remove the tab which protects the detector's battery (if the has already been
removed, replace the tab and remove it again), the detector should emit a
series of beeps.
- Firmly press the TEST button for 2 seconds, the detector should emit a series
of beeps.
- You may now place the detector in its permanent position.
Settings
- To test the smoke detector, press the button located on the cover of the
detector.
- The indicator flashes red as soon as the button is pressed and the alarm is
triggered if the electronic circuit, the siren and the battery are functioning.
- If the alarm is not triggered, this means the battery or another component are
faulty.
- THE SMOKE DETECTOR MUST BE TESTED ONCE A MONTH TO
ENSURE OPTIMUM OPERATION.
- A random or weak alarm noise coming from the detector may indicate the
product is faulty. In this case, stop using it.

with symbols (shown opposite) which indicate that it is forbidden to
discard them in the household waste. The corresponding heavy
metal designations are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. You
can recycle these batteries/accumulators at local recycling amenities (centres
for sorting recyclable materials) which are required to accept them. Keep
batteries/button cells/accumulators out of reach of children and store them in a
safe place not accessible to them as they could be swallowed by children or
domestic animals. May be fatal if swallowed.
In the event that a battery is swallowed, consult a doctor or go to A&E
immediately. Never short-circuit the batteries, and do not burn or recharge
them as they may explode!
This logo denotes that devices which are no longer in use must not be
disposed of as household waste. as they are likely to contain
hazardous substances which are dangerous to both health and the

an installation that is not to specification. If the problem is caused by the

return the unit to the shop.
Without this RMA number, the shop may refuse to exchange your product.
