C - ABOUT THE THOMSON CONNECTED HOME CONCEPT
The Thombox is a home automation box connected to your broadband modem (such as the
box provided by your internet service provider), which can be used like a real alarm control
unit at home or remotely, wherever you happen to be. It also lets you control convenience
devices (lighting, etc.), opening elements (electric shutters, garage doors, etc.) and energy
management systems (electrical consumption, heating) with just a few clicks on a computer,
touchscreen tablet or smartphone, wherever you are in the world, all thanks to the internet.
To enable these functions and to create scenarios (action sequences) that will make your daily
routine easier, you will need to register your Thombox (only when you first install it) and link it to
your compatible accessories using ARW technology.
The Thombox is entirely modular and there is no limit on the number of accessories it can
control.

D2 - SCREWING ON THE ANTENNA
The antenna supplied lets the Thombox communicate with your compatible accessories via
ARW technology. The antenna is essential to correct functioning of the Thombox. To ensure
optimal range, the antenna must be positioned vertically.
NB : Do not apply excessive force when screwing on the antenna or the antenna connector
may be damaged.
D3 - CONNECTIONS
Connect the Ethernet (RJ45) cable between your broadband box and your Thombox, then
connect to the power supply. Your Thombox will start up automatically. A steady green light will
come on to indicate that internet connection has been established and that you can activate
the Thombox (only to be done when you first install it).

flashing green light indicates an internet connection issue.

IMPORTANT :
Beforepermanently mountingyouraccessories, werecommendyoucarryouta rangetest;
In order to do so, place your sensors as close as possible to their intended position before
actually mounting them, and test your accessory.
For example, for an opening sensor, simulate opening the door or window and check that the
accessory's status and the interface status match.
Every accessory in your installation must be paired with your Thombox for it to operate. Click
on "GENERAL" on your Thombox interface, then on "Ajouter des modules" (Add modules) :
YourThomboxwillthengointolearningmodeandstartsacountdownof60seconds,
during which you should activate the accessory.
Once the accessory has been recognised by the Thombox, "Module ajouté" (Module added)
will appear on the screen and you will be promoted to name the accessory.
Go through the same procedure for each accessory you want to pair with the Thombox.

G1 - INTERIOR MOTION SENSOR WITH PET-IMMUNE FUNCTION
This sensor detects moving human presence in the room where it is installed, and sends the

sensor :
• Donotplacethesensoroppositeawindoworasourceofreectedlight.

actions according to the conditions of your choice. Click on the "Créateur de règles" (Rule

For example, when a door is opened, you want a light to come on.

(In the event of error, click on the "broom" icon to clear the screen and the parts moved)
Then click on "Sauvegarder" (Save) to save your rule.
Finally, click on the "Synchroniser les règles" (Synchronise rules) button to upload the rule to
