At other times, you do need to find a specific number. Bob might say,
"CAN YOU FIND THE NUMBER ONE? YOU CAN DO IT!"
Or perhaps Bob will refer to the construction crew and say, "THEY NEED
FIVE GAS PEDALS. FIND THE NUMBER FIVE."
If you press an incorrect number, Bob will tell you the number you
pressed and will give you encouragement to try again.
When you press the correct number, Bob will repeat you the number.
As you play, Bob will say that FARMER PICKLES needs something or
that one of Bob's own crew such as DIZZY, or ROLEY, or LOFTY is calling
in an order. You'll punch in their order on the phone keypad by following
Bob's direction!
ENCOURAGING WORDS AND ACTIONS
Bob encourages your child by offering praise when you select a correct
number. Just as importantly, when you make an incorrect response,
Bob encourages you to try again. For added clarity, Bob also repeats
the number selected.
TURNING THE UNIT OFF
BOB'S CALL AND LEARN PHONE has an automatic shut-off feature to
help prolong battery life. After a brief period of inactivity, Bob prompts
your child for a response. If your child doesn't respond by doing a task
or pressing a button, Bob will repeat the prompt again. If there is still
no activity, the BOB'S CALL AND LEARN PHONE will then automatically
turn itself off. You'll hear Bob say, "GOODBYE!" just before the game
shuts itself off. Press the "ON" button to restart the toy.
NOTE: Your child needs to wait until after Bob has stopped talking before
pressing a button on the phone. Press or activity made while
Bob is still speaking will not register.
