DANGER! Therotatingpartsofthismachinehavebeendesignedandtestedforruggeduse. However,
they could fail upon impact with heavy, solid objects such as steel guard rails and concrete
abutments. Such impact could cause the broken objects to be thrown outward at very high
velocities. Toreducethepossibilityofpropertydamage,seriousinjury,orevendeath,never
allow the cutting blades to contact such obstacles. (SGM-4)
WARNING! Manyvariedobjects,suchaswire,cable,rope,orchains,canbecomeentangledintheoperating
partsof the mower head. Theseitemscouldthenswingoutside the housing atgreatervelocities
thantheblades. Suchasituationisextremelyhazardousandcouldresultinseriousinjuryoreven
death. Inspectthecuttingareaforsuchobjectsbeforemowing. Removeanylikeobjectfromthe
site. Never allow the cutting blades to contact such items. (SGM-6)
WARNING! Mow at the speed that you can safely operate and control the tractor and mower. Safe mowing
speeddependsonterrainconditionandgrasstype,density,andheightofcut. Normalgroundspeed
rangeisfrom0to5mph. Use slowmowingspeedswhenoperatingonornearsteepslopes,ditches,
drop-offs,overheadobstructions,powerlines,orwhendebrisandforeignobjectsaretobeavoided.

WARNING! Avoidmowing in reverse direction when possible. Check to make sure there are nopersonsare
behindthemoweranduseextremecarewhenmowinginreverse. Mowonlyataslowgroundspeed
whereyoucansafelyoperateandcontrolthetractorandmower. Nevermowanareainthereverse
directionthat you havenot inspected andremoved debris or foreign material. (SGM-8)
WARNING! Extremecareshouldbetakenwhenoperatingnearlooseobjectssuch
as gravel, rocks, wire, and other debris. Inspect the area before
mowing. Foreignobjectsshouldberemovedfromthesitetoprevent
machinedamageand/orbodilyinjuryorevendeath. Anyobjectsthat
cannotberemovedmustbeclearlymarkedandcarefullyavoidedby
the operator. Stop mowing immediately if blades strike a foreign
object. Repair all damage and make certain rotor or blade carrier is
balancedbeforeresumingmowing.(SGM-5)
WARNING! Mowonlyinconditionswhereyouhaveclearvisibilityindaylightorwithadequateartificiallighting.
Nevermowindarknessorfoggyconditionswhereyoucannotclearlyseeatleast100yardsinfront
andtothesidesofthetractorandmower. Makesurethatyoucanclearlyseeandidentifypassersby,
steepslopes,ditches,drop-offs,overheadobstructions,powerlines,debrisandforeignobjects. If
you are unable to clearly see this type of items discontinue mowing. (SGM-1)
DANGER! Thereareobviousandhiddenpotentialhazardsintheoperationofthis
Mower. REMEMBER! Thismachineisoftenoperatedinheavybrush
and in heavy weeds. The Blades of this Mower can throw objects if
shields are not properly installed and maintained. Serious injury or
evendeathmayoccur unlesscareistakento insurethesafetyofthe
operator, bystanders, or passersby in the area. Do not operate this
machinewithanyoneintheimmediatearea. Stopmowingifanyone
is within 100 yards of mower. (SGM-2)
