operation, maintenance, repair and disposal operators, etc.
﹟ This manual explains how the equipment is to be used and provides instructions relating to
transport, installation, assembly and use. It also explains how to replace accessories and warns of

1. INTRODUCTION
1.1.Congratulations
Dear Customer, we should like to congratulate you for having preferred one of our products.
Each TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina product is built according to applicable safety regulations, to protect
operators and service users.
This manual describes and illustrates the various transport, use and adjustment operations, for better
using and looking after your equipment.
Please carefully read the instructions and information contained in this
manual.
1.2. Assistance
TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina technicians will be pleased to provide any routine and special maintenance
services.
Maintenance requests should be made to TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina by phone or fax ((tel. 05/36 89 330
fax. 05/36 63 805).
If your hospital equipment has been purchased through one of our authorised dealers and assistance or
repairs are required, please contact the dealer or another authorised after-sales service centre directly.
1.3. Warranty
The products of TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina are covered by a 1-year warranty starting on the day of
shipment.
The warranty does not cover component parts covered by a separate original manufacturer's warranty.
The warranty is valid as and from the date of shipment of the
equipment.
The warranty shall only be considered valid if the equipment has been used correctly, following the
instructions provided in this manual.
Faulty parts will be repaired or replaced free of charge by TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina at its factory at
Ajdovščina (SLO) or at the authorised dealer's.
In case of replacement of faulty parts, TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina shall be entitled to withdraw these after
replacement. Transport and shipping costs relating to spare parts shall be charged to the buyer.
In the event of labour being required for installations and/or replacements of faulty parts made on the
buyer's premises, relevant costs shall be borne by TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina, while the buyer shall pay
all travel expenses.
Any special jobs to be done by the technicians of TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina shall be agreed upon case by
case.
The warranty shall not cover expendable materials and periodical
maintenance and parts damaged as a result of improper equipment

use.
Repairs and/or replacements made under warranty shall not extend
the duration of the warranty, excepting the replaced part/s.
Acknowledgement of the warranty excludes any request for
temporary replacement with similar equipment, excepting prior
agreement between the parties.

that both it and any accessories are in good condition by making a sight
check.

and bathing of patient, particularly in every-day care use. Entirely made of epoxy – coated steal with a
special cataphoresis anti-corrosion treatment, following criteria of safety for the patient and the
operator. The Electric wall mounted shower stretcher art. 155040 have possibility of electric regulation
of height, the manual regulation of back rest, and manual regulation of mattress platform into vertical
position against the wall.
The Electric wall mounted changing table art. 155140, has been planned and created for the treatment
and changing of patient, particularly in every-day care use. Entirely made of epoxy – coated steal with
a special cataphoresis anti-corrosion treatment, following criteria of safety for the patient and the
operator. The Electric wall mounted changing table art. 155140 have possibility of electric regulation
of height and manual regulation of mattress platform into vertical position against the wall.
Use not in accordance with that intended use by TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina shall result in the company
disclaiming all liability for injury to persons and damage to things.

3. SAFETY
3.1. General safety rules
Compliance with safety regulations puts the operator in a position to work profitably without causing
injury to him/herself or others.
Using the equipment for purposes other than those previously
described is forbidden (2.1 INTENDED USE). The equipment must
only be used by properly trained personnel.
Before starting to operate the Electric wall mounted shower stretcher art. 155040 and Electric wall
mounted changing table art. 155140, the operator must be perfectly aware of how the Electric wall
mounted shower stretcher art. 155040 and Electric wall mounted changing table art. 155140 works, of
where the controls are located and of all technical-functional features. Such awareness can be acquired
by carefully reading this manual.
The nursing staff must properly inform patients how the Electric

must be carefully explained so the patient can operate the bed

3.2. Specific safety rules
Tampering with or replacing parts of the equipment without the express authorisation of TIMO d.o.o.
Ajdovščina is forbidden.
The use of accessories, or spare parts, other than those recommended and/or shown in this manual can
represent a hazard for operators and/or damage the Electric wall mounted shower stretcher art. 155040
and Electric wall mounted changing table art. 155140.
Any alterations to the equipment not expressly authorised by TIMO d.o.o.
Ajdovščina shall relieve the latter of all civil and criminal liability.
Removing any safety or protection devices on the appliance is
strictly forbidden; periodically, at weekly intervals, check the
integrity of such devices and make sure they are working
properly.
Before carrying out any maintenance or repair jobs on the
equipment, the operator should have carefully read and understood
the technical information provided in this manual.
All maintenance and repair jobs must be done by skilled personnel;
see par. 3.5 TRAINED PERSONNEL.
Bad repairs and maintenance can represent a hazard for the user.
IMPORTANT!!!
The equipment should not be started when:
﹟ it has fallen and/or shows signs of evident damage,
﹟ the moving parts (lever mechanisms, actuators, rotation fulcrums, etc.) produce strange noises not
in conformity with proper operation.
﹟ instability not in conformity with the structure occurs during operation and movement.

Never position the equipment close to heat sources.

Mounted changing table art. 155140 have to be fixed on the wall.
The movement area is required to be at least 220 cm wide and 160 cm hight
free of any obstacles in order and devoid of objects that could restrict free
movement.
The instructions, accident-prevention rules and warnings contained in this
manual must always be followed.
3.3. Outstanding risk areas
In some parts of the equipment, residual risks exist that cannot be eliminated during the design stage.
Each operator should be aware of the outstanding risks relating to this equipment in order to prevent
any accidents.
Such hazards are listed below:
CRUSHING
When adjusting the height of the stretcher top, raising or lowering the side rails and lowering the
backrest section, outstanding risks exist of the hands being crushed between the moving parts of the
mattress platform and the fixed wall stretchers structure (outstanding risk of being crushed).
During wall stretchers positioning, be careful not to crush people or things between the head end and
the walls against which the wall stretchers is rested (outstanding risk of crushing).
ACCIDENTAL FALLING
When getting in and out of the wall stretchers, make sure the height of the stretchers is consistent with
the motory capacity of the patient. If necessary, position the wall stretchers in the most correct way
(outstanding risk of falling).
3.4. Wall mounted shower stretcher and changing table safety devices safety

3.5. Trained personnel

155140, manufactured by TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina, have been designed taking into account operating
requirements and are suitable very easy care and bath immobile people - patients, must be used by the
following professional person:
The "OPERATOR", is the person appointed to operate the equipment (medical nursing staff);
operations should be restricted to the controls indicated in Chap 8-9.
This person should be perfectly aware of all the precautions
and operating instructions indicated in this
manual.
The operator is forbidden from performing operations other than those
indicated in Chap. 8-9.
The “MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN", is the person appointed to transport, install, start,
adjust, clean, repair, change the equipment and perform maintenance on the wall stretcher. Such person
must be adequately trained and have attended workshops and training courses, etc....., and have
experience as regards transporting, installing, operating and servicing medical-sanitary appliances and
systems.
4. POSITIONING OF SYMBOL TAGS APPLIED TO THE WALL MOUNTED STRETCHER
The purpose of the signs is to inform operators of any existing risks. Each
operator should be able to recognise the meanings of such signs.

The CE plate data must always be quoted when requesting assistance or
spare parts. The adhesive signs and fitted plates must never be removed,
tampered with or destroyed.
The persons in charge of company safety must replace them in case of
deterioration or illegibility.
TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina is at your disposal for providing replacement

6 HANDLING
6.1. Lifting from the package
Lifting from the package must only be done by skilled personnel, trained to
perform this type of operation.
The Customer is responsible for obtaining the equipment suitable for
lifting from the package the wall stretcher.
Before lifting from the package the wall stretcher, make sure no one is
standing within range of operation.
The weight to be lifted is the weight of the wall stretcher (see table “Technical Details”) plus any
packaging material and accessories.
Check the suitability of the means used, such as: cables, straps, hooks, crane trucks or bridge cranes,
which must be able to lift over 300 Kg.

Lift from the package the wall stretcher have to be moved as little as possible off the floor.
Make sure during lifting from the package that the wall stretcher is
perfectly balanced and avoid operations that could make it unstable.
6.2. Storage of the wall stretcher
In case of storage for a long period of time (6 or 12 months), proceed as follows:
•make sure the room where the wall stretcher is placed is dry and that temperature, humidity and
atmospheric pressure values are within the following parameters:
temperature between 0˚ and +40˚,
atmospheric pressure between 700mB and 1060mB
air humidity max 70%
Do not stack the wall stretcher one on the top of the other.
6.3. Transport
The Electric wall mounted shower stretcher art. 155040 and Electric wall mounted changing table art.
155140, manufactured by TIMO d.o.o. Ajdovščina,are shipped to customers in two parts ( the wall
fitting panel and mattress platform lying part.) The wall fitting pannel have to be fitted to a wall as
described in that instruction in chapter 7. Than you have to fit the mattress platform lying part as
described in that instruction in chapter 7. Transport is generally done by truck. The temperature,
humidity and atmospheric pressure values during transport must fall within the following parameters:
temperature between 0˚ and +40˚,
atmospheric pressure between 700mB and 1060mB
air humidity max 70%
7. INSTALATION
The wall decoration and floor covering must be completed and finished
The wall area is required to be at least 220 cm wide and 160 cm hight, flat,
plumb and clear of any obstacles.
The wall stretcher have to be clear of any side walls, fixtures, handrails or
appliances by 50 mm at the sides and by 400 mm minimum (700 mm mm
recommended) at the front.

7.1. Wall mounting
Instruction to fitting on the wall:
(please see fig. 9)
The wall fitting panel is fixed to the wall and normally rest on the floor. The wall have to be load
bearing, strong enough to carry a 150 kg load on each of the wall ficings (screw fi 10x100) The wall
area is required to be at least 220 cm wide and 160 cm hight, flat, plumb and clear of any obstacles.
(please see fig. 10)
The wall fitting panel is fixed to a stud wall and normally rest on the floor. The fitting to a stud wall
need special reinforcement; either noggins as shown in fig. 10 (plywooden reinforcements dim. 200x50
mm). The wall have to be load bearing, strong enough to carry a 150 kg load on each of the wall ficings
(screw fi 10x100). The wall area is required to be at least 220 cm wide and 160 cm hight, flat, plumb
and clear of any obstacles.
The plywood support must be in contact with and supported by the floor.
The wall fitting panel cannot be fitted to metal frame or similar type stud wall
unless it has been fully reinforced with timbers struts that are secured at the
top and bottom and noggins or plywood fitted as per our specification

7.2. Assembly
When the fitting of the fitting panel is finished you can star with fitting of the mattress platform lying
part. (please follow as shown on fig. 11)

8. CONTROLS
Before using the Electric wall mounted shower stretcher art. 155040
and Electric wall mounted changing table art. 155140, make sure you
are perfectly acquainted with the instructions concerning the
controls.
Prior to enabling the various the Electric wall mounted shower
stretcher art. 155040 and Electric wall mounted changing table art.
155140 movements, make sure the patient does not have his/her arms
or legs located in any opening, for example in the protection side rail.
Before using some of the functions (the Electric wall mounted shower
stretcher art. 155040 and Electric wall mounted changing table art.
155140 height lowering, backrest lowering), make sure that nothing
and no one (especially children) is underneath the mattress platform.
During raising and lowering movements of the Electric wall mounted
shower stretcher art. 155040 and Electric wall mounted changing
table art. 155140, make sure the wall stretcher is at minimum height.
Never leave the patient alone on the Electric wall mounted shower
stretcher art. 155040 and Electric wall mounted changing table art.
155140 without the supervision of nursing staff!

8.1. Use
To use the wall stretcher, the operator must follow the instructions:
1)
position the mattress platform as low as possible with respect to the floor before leaving the patient
alone.
ATTENTION!! Always tell the patient to get in and out of the wall stretcher
with the mattress platform in fully-lowered position.
8.2. Manual controls
8.2.1. Regulation of backrest (art. 155040)
In case of emergency, the backrest section can be quickly lowered by means
of the handle underneath the mattress platform on the front side.
8.2.1.1. Raising the backrest section
1) Grip the backrest part.
2) Pull the handle at the side of the mattress platform upwards, without forcing (fig. 12).

3) Rise up the platform as far as desired position.
4) First release the handle and then the backrest.
8.2.1.2. Lowering the backrest section (art. 155040)
1) Grip the backrest part.
2) Pull the handle at the side of the mattress platform upwards, without forcing (fig. 12).
3) Rise down the platform as far as desired position.
4) First release the handle and then the backrest.

Make sure there is nothing to prevent the backrest being returned to
horizontal position.
8.2.2. Side rails movement
Prior to enabling the various wall stretcher movements, make sure
the patient does not have his/her arms or legs located in any opening,
for example in the protection side rail.
Raising the side rails
Firmly grip the top part of the side rail (fig.13) then lift it to end and stroke and ascertain that it is
effectively hooked.
When you raise side rail always check that it is properly locked in place!

Lowering the side rails
Firmly grip the top part of the side rail and lift the part that is marked with the red arrow as shown
(fig.14) and with the other hand squeezed the trigger lever together and release the safety side, until the
lower position is reached.

2. The side rails needs to be lowered (fig. 17)
3. Grib the mattress platform and folded up it agains the wall (fig. 18)
4. When the matress platform is folded up agains the wall we can close the side rail (fig. 19)

When folding down the steretcher, ensure that there are no obstacles or
person under the stretcher!
8.3 Electric regulation of the wall stretcher
Electric regulation of the wall stretcher:
- Lifting and lowering of mattress platform
All movements can be performed for a maximum time of 2 minutes. After this time a thermal cut out
will interrupt movements until resetting. Expected rest period = approx. 18 min. Movements will start
again automatically after this time.
ATTENTION!! Always tell the patient to get in and out of the wall stretcher
with the mattress platform in fully-lowered position.
8.3.1. Lifting and lowering of mattress platform
Lifting and lowering the mattress platform of the wall stretcher is regulated with the push-button
handset. Mattress platform of the wall stretcher will be lift or lower by pressing the button and hold it
until the desired height is reached.
Make sure nothing and no one hinders the shower trolley during the
regulation of lowering.

Before using some of the functions (the Electric wall mounted shower
stretcher art. 155040 and Electric wall mounted changing table art.
155140 height lowering, backrest lowering), make sure that nothing
and no one (especially children) is underneath the mattress platform.
9. CLEANING AND DESINFECTION
9.1. Cleaning
The wall stretcher can be cleaned by washing with water, neutral detergents and a sponge; it can be
rinsed with water and a sponge.
NEVER USE high pressure cleaners, acids, solvents, corrosive
products and abrasive substances. The detergents must not contain
phosphates, phosphorus or formaldehyde.
9.2. Disinfection
The wall stretcher disinfection must be done using suitable non-corrosive products.
Disinfectants must not contain phosphates, phosphorus or formaldehyde and must have a pH
between 6 and 8.
NOTE: The temperature of the washing water must not be above 85 °C.
10. MAINTENANCE
All maintenance operations must be done by skilled personnel.
10.1. Lubrication
All maintenance operations must be done by skilled personnel!
After each operation of sanitation, especially by washing, it is recommended to lubricate the joints and
moving parts with silicone-based lubricants.
Periodically (at least every 6 months), make sure all the retention parts are tight (screws, pins, nuts,
etc.) and check the condition of joints.
