SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•Only use the charger plug supplied. Do not use other chargers, as this may
damage the battery cells.
•Do not touch the charger and plug contacts with sharp or metal objects.
•The operation of some medical devices may be affected.
•The headset may cause an unpleasant buzzing sound in hearing aids.
•Keep water away from the headset.
•Do not use the headset in environments where there is a risk of explosions.
•This headset uses a rechargeable battery: Lithium polymer 3.7V that can not
be replaced by the user. If you dispose this headset, you have to do this
according to the national laws and bring it to collection point for Batteries.
CLEANING
Clean the headset with a slightly damp cloth or with an anti-static cloth. Never use
cleaning agents or abrasive solvents.
TOPCOM WARRANTY
•This equipment comes with a 24-month warranty. The warranty will be
honoured on presentation of the original bill or receipt, provided the date of
purchase and the unit type are indicated.
•During the time of the warranty Topcom will repair free of charge any defects
caused by material or manufacturing faults. Topcom will at its own discretion
fulfil its warranty obligations by either repairing or exchanging the faulty
equipment.
•Any warranty claims will be invalidated as a result of intervention by the buyer
or unqualified third parties.
•Damage caused by inexpert treatment or operation, and damage resulting from
the use of non-original parts or accessories not recommended by Topcom is
not covered by the warranty.

•The warranty does not cover damage caused by outside factors, such as
lightning, water and fire, nor does it apply if the unit numbers on the equipment
have been changed, removed or rendered illegible.
Note: Please do not forget to enclose your receipt if you return the
equipment.
1. INTRODUCTION
The Butler 300 is a cordless headset based on DECT GAP wireless technology.
This headset can be registered to any DECT basestation/device which complies
with the GAP profile.
The Butler 300 DECT headset is sold separately or together with a DECT cordless
telephone. When you bought this headset separately, you must first register it to
your DECT telephone system.
2. DESCRIPTION OF THE HEADSET

The CE symbol indicates that the unit complies with the essential
requirements of the R&TTE directive.

3. CHARGING THE HEADSET
Before you use the Butler 300 Headset for the first
time, you must make sure that the batteries are
charged for 6-8 hours. The headset will not work
optimally if not properly charged!!
To charge the battery you have to put the power
adaptor jack into the headset charge socket(4) as
shown.
The RED indication LED will lit during charging.
When it starts to blink the battery is fully charged.
4. PUT ON THE HEADSET
•Press against the ear hook to move it further away from the headset as shown
•Put the headset with the ear hook behind the ear..
•Make sure the microphone is pointing towards your mouth
Remark:The ear hook opening can be slightly bend to make it perfect fit
around the ear.

RIGHT OR LEFT
If you want to change the Headset to your other ear, you have to change the
orientation of the ear hook.
•Pull the ear hook from the headset as shown below.Turn the hook 180 degrees
•Attach the ear hook by gently pressing it into place
5. LED INDICATIONS
There is one LED (8) with 2 colors, one RED and one GREEN. Depending on the
situation, this LED will indicate the headset status:
When charging:
•Continue RED: The battery is charging
•RED blinking: The battery is charged but there is no link with the base
•GREEN blinking: The battery is charged and there is a link with the base
During Standby and turned ON:
•RED blinking (slow):There is no link with the base
•RED blinking (fast): Battery is low or headset is in registration mode
•GREEN blinking slowly: Standby and linked with the base (normal operation)
•GREEN blinking fast: During incoming call
During operation (conversation):
•Steady Green: Normal operation
•Steady RED: Battery is low and need to be charged

6.TURNING THE HEADSET ON/OFF
To turn the headset ON
Press and hold the headset button (2) until the indicator LED flashes GREEN and
RED. The headset indicator LED will flash RED until the base is found.
To turn the headset OFF
Press and hold the headset button (2) for 3 seconds until you hear two beep sounds.
The headset indictor LED is switched OFF.
7. REGISTER THE HEADSET
Before you start using the headset for the first time, you must register the headset
on to the device you want to use it with. Unless you bought it together with a DECT
telephone system, the headset should be registered by default to this system.
Registration operation: When you put the headset into registration mode it will
register automatically to each DECT GAP device which is also in registration mode
and has a registration code (pin code) = ‘0000’. If the registration code is not ‘0000’,
the headset will stop the registration and look for another device which has a pin
code = ‘0000’.
There are 3 steps you have to follow:
1Change the pin code or registration code of your DECT device into ‘0000’.
Please refer to the user quide of your DECT system.
Note: All TOPCOM Butler 24xx, 29xx, 30xx, 25xx and 35xx are by default set
to pin code ‘0000’. So if you didn’t changed it, you can skip this point and go to
step 2.
2Put the base into registration/park mode. To do this, please refer to the user
manual for the device. Most DECT devices can be put into registration mode
by pressing the paging key for some seconds.

If your base is a TOPCOM Butler 24xx, 29xx or 30xx: Press and hold the
paging key until the line/charge indicator LED starts to blink fast.
If you base is a TOPCOM Butler 25xx or 35xx: Press and hold the
paging key for 6 seconds until the base emits a beep.
3Make sure that the headset is turned ON and remove the rubber cover (5) from
the registration key hole (6).
Press the registration key (6) on the headset to start the registration. The RED
indicator LED will flash rapidly to indicate that the headset is in registration
mode.
When the registration is successful, the GREEN indication LED will flash slowly. If
not, (RED indication LED will flash slowly) you have to repeat step 2 & 3 above.
Make sure your device pin code = ‘0000’!!!
Note : On each DECT telephone, you can only register a limited number of
devices. (Mostly up to 5 devices). Please check the user guide of your DECT
telephone.
If you have already registered the max. number of devices, you should first
remove 1 device before you can register this DECT headset.

8. ANSWERING CALLS
When the headset rings you will hear a ring tone trough the speaker (3). The
GREEN indication LED will blink fast. Press the headset button (2) once.
You can adjust the volume by pressing the headset button up or down.
To end the call, press the headset button (2) again.
9. USING THE HEADSET ON YOUR DECT
TELEPHONE
When registering your Butler 300 on your DECT telephone ,the headset will get an
internal number like any other DECT handset. If you have only 1 handset in use on
your DECT, it will be internal number ‘ 2’. If you have more then 1 DECT handset
on your base, it will be the next free internal number. Test this by making an internal
call from a DECT handset to the Butler 300 headset. (check your user guide of the
DECT telephone : ‘Making an internal call’)
To transfer a call from your dect telephone to the Butler 300 headset follow the
instructions in the user guide of the DECT telephone ‘ Transfering a call to another
handset’
The ring volume of the DECT headset can not be adjusted, only the receiver volume
during a call can be adjusted.
Note :The Butler 300 headset will not ring when pressing the ‘Paging’
key on the DECT base telephone system.

VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
•Gebruik enkel de meegeleverde adapter. Geen vreemde adapters gebruiken,
de accucellen kunnen hierdoor beschadigd worden.
•Raak de laad- en stekkercontacten niet aan met scherpe en metalen
voorwerpen.
•De werking van medische toestellen kan worden beïnvloed.
•De headset kan een onaangenaam gezoem veroorzaken in hoorapparaten.
•De headset niet in aanraking brengen met water.
•De headset niet gebruiken in explosieve omgevingen.
•De Butler 300 gebruikt een oplaadbare Lithium polymeer 3.7V batterij, welke
niet kan vervangen worden door de gebruiker. Indien u zich van deze
hoofdtelefoon wenst te ontdoen, dient u dit te doen volgens de nationale
wetgeving en op een op een milieuvriendelijke manier.
REINIGEN
Veeg de headset met een licht vochtig doek of met een antistatische doek af.
Gebruik nooit reinigingsmiddelen of agressieve oplosmiddelen.
DE GARANTIE VAN TOPCOM
•De garantieperiode bedraagt 24 maanden. De garantie wordt verleend na
voorlegging van de originele factuur of betalingsbevestiging waarop de datum
van aankoop en het toesteltype staan vermeld.
•Gedurende de garantieperiode verhelpt Topcom kostenloos alle defecten die
te wijten zijn aan materiaal- of productiefouten. Topcom kan, naar keuze, het
defecte toestel ofwel herstellen ofwel vervangen.
•De garantieclaim vervalt bij ingrepen door de koper of onbevoegde derden.
•Schade te wijten aan onoordeelkundige behandeling of bediening of aan het
gebruik van wisselstukken en accessoires die niet origineel of door Topcom
aanbevolen zijn, valt niet onder de garantie.

•Niet gedekt door de garantie is schade ten gevolge van externe
invloedfactoren: bliksem, water, brand e.d. of wanneer het toestelnummer op
het toestel werd gewijzigd, verwijderd of onleesbaar gemaakt.
Opgelet: Als u uw toestel terugstuurt, vergeet uw aankoopbewijs niet
mee te sturen.
1. INLEIDING
De Butler 300 is een draadloze DECT GAP hoofdtelefoon. Deze hoofdtelefoon kan
worden aangemeld op elk DECT basisstation/toestel dat voldoet aan het GAP-
profiel.
De Butler 300 DECT hoofdtelefoon wordt apart of samen met een DECT draadloze
telefoon verkocht. Als u deze hoofdtelefoon apart heeft gekocht, moet u hem eerst
aanmelden op uw DECT telefoonsysteem.
2. BESCHRIJVING VAN DE HOOFDTELEFOON

Het toestel voldoet aan de basiseisen van de R&TTE-richtlijn. Dit wordt
bevestigd door de CE-markering.

3. DE HOOFDTELEFOON OPLADEN
Vooraleer u de Butler 300 hoofdtelefoon kunt
gebruiken, moet u eerst de batterijen gedurende 6-8
uur opladen. De hoofdtelefoon werkt niet optimaal
als hij niet correct is opgeladen!!
Om de batterij op te laden, moet u de stroomadapter
in de laadbus van de hoofdtelefoon (4) steken zoals
geïllustreerd.
Tijdens het opladen brandt de RODE indicatie-LED.
Wanneer de LED begint te knipperen is de batterij
volledig opgeladen.
4. ZET DE HOOFDTELEFOON OP
•Duw tegen het oorhaakje om het verder van de hoofdtelefoon te duwen, zoals
geïllustreerd
•Plaats de hoofdtelefoon met het oorhaakje achter het oor
.
•Zorg ervoor dat de microfoon naar uw mond is gericht
Opmerking: De ronding van het oorhaakje kan lichtjes worden verbogen
voor een perfecte pasvorm rond het oor.

RECHTS OF LINKS
Als u de hoofdtelefoon wil veranderen van oor, moet u de richting van het oorhaakje
veranderen.
•Trek aan het oorhaakje van de hoofdtelefoon zoals hieronder geïllustreerd.
Draai de haak 180 graden.
•Bevestig het oorhaakje door het zachtjes op zijn plaats te duwen.
5. LED-INDICATIES
Er is één LED (8) met 2 kleuren, ROOD en GROEN. Afhankelijk van de situatie,
geeft deze LED de status van de hoofdtelefoon weer:
Tijdens het opladen:
•Continu ROOD: De batterij is aan het opladen
•ROOD knipperend: De batterij is opgeladen maar er is geen verbinding met
het basisstation
•GROEN knipperend: De batterij is opgeladen en er is verbinding met het
basisstation
In standby- en ON-modus:
•ROOD knipperend (traag): Er is geen verbinding met het basisstation
•ROOD knipperend (snel): Batterij is zwak of hoofdtelefoon bevindt zich in aan-
meldmodus
•GROEN traag knipperend: Standby en verbonden met het basisstation (nor-
male werking)
•GROEN snel knipperend: Bij binnenkomend gesprek
Tijdens werking (gesprek):
•Continu groen: Normale werking
•Continu ROOD: Batterij is zwak en moet worden opgeladen

6. DE HOOFDTELEFOON IN- EN
UITSCHAKELEN
Om de hoofdtelefoon in te schakelen (ON)
Houd de hoofdtelefoon-toets (2) ingedrukt tot de indicatie-LED GROEN en ROOD
knippert. De indicatie-LED van de hoofdtelefoon zal ROOD knipperen tot het
basisstation is gevonden.
Om de hoofdtelefoon uit te schakelen (OFF)
Houd de hoofdtelefoon-toets (2) 3 seconden ingedrukt tot u twee pieptonen hoort.
De indicatie-LED van de hoofdtelefoon is uitgeschakeld (OFF).
7. DE HOOFDTELEFOON AANMELDEN
Vooraleer u de hoofdtelefoon voor het eerst gebruikt, moet u de hoofdtelefoon
aanmelden op het toestel waarmee u hem wilt gebruiken. Tenzij u de hoofdtelefoon
samen met een DECT telefoonsysteem hebt gekocht, moet de hoofdtelefoon
standaard op dit systeem aangemeld zijn.
Aanmelden: Als u de hoofdtelefoon in aanmeldmodus zet, zal hij automatisch
aanmelden op elk DECT GAP toestel dat ook in aanmeldmodus staat en een
aanmeldingscode (pincode) = ‘0000’ heeft. Als de aanmeldingscode niet ‘0000’ is,
zal de hoofdtelefoon de aanmelding stoppen en op zoek gaan naar een ander
toestel met een pincode = ‘0000’.
Er zijn 3 stappen die u moet volgen:
1. Verander de pincode of aanmeldingscode van uw DECT toestel in ‘0000’.
Raadpleeg de gebruiksaanwijzing van uw DECT systeem.
Opmerking: Alle TOPCOM Butler 24xx, 29xx, 30xx, 25xx en 35xx basisstations
zijn standaard ingesteld op pincode ‘0000’. Dus als u die niet heeft veranderd,
kunt u deze stap overslaan en onmiddellijk naar stap 2 gaan.
2. Schakel het basisstation in aanmeld/parkeermodus. Raadpleeg hiervoor de
gebruiksaanwijzing bij het toestel. De meeste DECT toestellen kunnen in

aanmeldmodus worden geschakeld door de paging-toets enkele seconden
ingedrukt te houden.
Als uw basisstation een TOPCOM Butler 24xx, 29xx of 30xx is: Houd de
paging toets ingedrukt tot de lijn/laad-LED snel begint te knipperen.
Als uw basisstation een TOPCOM Butler 25xx of 35xx is: Houd de
paging toets 6 seconden ingedrukt tot u een pieptoon hoort aan het
basisstation.
3. Zorg ervoor dat de hoofdtelefoon aan staat en verwijder de rubberen
afdekking (5) over de aanmeldtoets (6).
Druk op de aanmeldtoets (6) met een puntig voorwerp om de aanmelding te
starten. De RODE indicatie-LED zal snel knipperen wat betekent dat de
hoofdtelefoon zich in aanmeldmodus bevindt.
Als de aanmelding geslaagd is, zal de GROENE indicatie-LED langzaam beginnen
knipperen. Als de aanmelding niet geslaagd is, (RODE indicatie- LED knippert
traag) moet u de hierboven beschreven stappen 2 & 3 herhalen.
Zorg ervoor dat de pincode van uw toestel = ’0000’!!!
Nota : Op een DECT telefoon kan u slechts een gelimiteerd aantal handsets
aanmelden (meestal tot 5 stuks). Controleer dit in de handleiding van uw
DECT telefoon.
Indien u reeds het maximum aantal handsets heeft aangemeld, dient u er
eerst 1 te verwijderen alvorens u de hoofdtelefoon kan aanmelden.
8. OPROEPEN BEANTWOORDEN
Als de hoofdtelefoon rinkelt, hoort u een beltoon door de luidspreker (3). De
GROENE indicatie-LED knippert snel. Druk één keer op de hoofdtelefoon-toets (2).
U kunt het volume regelen door de hoofdtelefoon-toets omhoog of omlaag te
drukken.
Om de oproep te beëindigen, drukt u nogmaals op de hoofdtelefoon-toets (2) .

9. HET GEBRUIKEN VAN DE BUTLER 300
OP EEN DECT TELEFOON
Indien u de Butler 300 aanmeldt op een DECT telefoon, zal deze een intern nummer
krijgen, zoals iedere handset. Indien u slecht 1 handset aangemeld heeft op uw
DECT telefoon, zal de Butler 300 intern nummer ‘2’ hebben. Indien er meerdere
handsets zijn aangemeld, zal de Butler 300 het eerstvolgend beschikbare nummer
hebben. U kan dit testen door een interne oproep uit te voeren naar de Butler 300
hoofdtelefoon (zie handleiding van uw DECT telefoon : ‘Intern telefoneren tussen
handsets’).
Om een oproep van uw DECT telefoon door te schakelen naar de Butler 300 dient
u de instructies te volgen zoals beschreven in de handleiding van uw DECT telefoon
(Oproep doorschakelen naar een andere handset).
Het belvolume van de Butler 300 kan niet aangepast worden, enkel het
luidsprekervolume tijdens een gesprek.
Nota : De Butler 300 hoofdtelefoon zal niet rinkelen indien u gebruik
maakt van de ‘paging’ functie op de basis van uw DECT telefoon.
10. PROBLEEMOPLOSSING

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
•Utilisez uniquement l’adaptateur fourni à la livraison. Ne pas utiliser des
adaptateurs étrangers, les cellules de charge pourraient être endommagées.

•Ce casque utilise une pile rechargeable : Lithium polymère 3.7V qui ne peut
être remplacée par l’utilisateur. Si vous vous débarrassez de ce casque, vous
êtes tenu de le faire conformément aux lois nationales et de le ramener à un
point de collecte pour piles.
ENTRETIEN
Frottez le casque avec un chiffon légèrement humide ou avec un linge antistatique.
N'utilisez jamais de produits détergents ou agressifs.
GARANTIE DE TOPCOM
•La durée de la garantie est de 24 mois. La garantie est assurée sous
présentation de la facture originale ou d'une preuve de paiement mentionnant
la date d'achat ainsi que le type d'appareil.
•Topcom prend en charge pendant la durée de la garantie toutes les
défaillances issues de défauts des matériaux ou de défauts de fabrication.
Topcom décide seul s'il souhaite remplacer ou réparer l'appareil défectueux
sous garantie.
•La garantie prend fin lors de toute intervention de l'acheteur ou de tout tiers
non-habilité.

1. INTRODUCTION
Le Butler 300 est un casque sans-fil basé sur la technologie sans-fil DECT GAP.
Ce casque peut être enregistré sur n’importe quel appareil / station de base DECT
conforme au profil GAP.
Le casque Butler 300 DECT est vendu séparément ou avec un téléphone sans-fil
DECT. Lorsque vous achetez ce casque séparément, vous devez d’abord
l’enregistrer sur votre système de téléphone DECT.

3. CHARGEMENT DU CASQUE
Avant d’utiliser le Butler 300 pour la première fois,
vous devez veiller à charger les batteries pendant 6
à 8 heures. Le casque ne fonctionnera pas
correctement s’il n’est pas chargé complètement !!
Pour mettre la batterie en charge, vous devez
insérer la fiche de l’adaptateur dans la prise de
charge du casque (4) comme indiqué.
La DEL d’indication ROUGE s’allume pendant le
chargement. Lorsqu’elle commence à clignoter, la
batterie est chargée complètement.
4. METTRE LE CASQUE
•Appuyez sur l’oreillette pour l’éloigner du casque comme indiqué
•Placez le casque avec l’oreillette derrière l’oreille.

•Assurez-vous que le microphone est placé en direc-
tion de votre bouche
Remarque : L’ouverture de l’oreillette peut être légèrement pliée pour
s’ajuster parfaitement à votre oreille.
