1 INTRODUCTION
Your Pocket MP3 player 128 combines a digital audio player, USB Flash memory drive, SD/MMC card
reader and Digital Voice Recorder.
Simply plug it in a USB port of your computer and it will detect it as two removable drives.
With your pocket MP3 player, you can load music from your computer, you can use it as hard drive for
data storage or you can record a conversation.

4 BUTTONS
4.1 DESCRIPTION
4.2 USE OF THE SKIP FORWARD-BACKWARD / MENU BUTTON
This button has 3 functions.
It can be either slided to the right or the left to skip forward
or backward, or you can push the button to enter a menu
and confirm a setting.

5 GETTING STARTED
5.1 BATTERY INSTALLATION
• Open the battery compartiment by pulling the battery cover clip (7).
• Insert one AAA. Follow the polarity as indicated in the battery compartiment.
• Close the battery compartiment
• Press the on/off button to turn on the device
• The batterylevel can be checked in the upper left of the LCD.
• Press the on/off button for 2 seconds to turn off the device
Important :
Dispose of the batteries at a designated battery disposal unit and not in
the household waste. Do not shortcircuit & dispose of in fire.
Remove the battery if this device is not going to be used for a long period.
5.2 DISPLAY INFORMATION

5.4 USB CONNECTION
Use the provided USB cable to connect this device on your computer.
Press the on/off button to turn on the device. Your system will detect this device.

For windows 98/ME, you may be required to install the device driver (computer
dependent). If so, direct the installation program to the path where the device driver is
located on the provided CD-Rom ‘:\driver’.The device will be detected automatically.
6 PUTTING SONGS ON TO THE PLAYER
Once the device driver is well installed, and the USB connection is completed, two extra removable
disks will be displayed in your system. One of the disks will be assigned to the internal memory, the
other for the SD/MMC card reader (§7). You can now copy Music (MP3/WMA) files to the selected
drive.
Important:You can only use the supplied Utility software to format the Memory. If you
format it in another way, you will not be able to play music files.
Remark:The bitrate of the MP3/WMA files copied to the memory must be between 32 Kbps
and 256 Kbps. Please check your MP3 files on errors and bitrate before copying to your

7 USE IT AS A SD MMC CARD READER
- Insert an SD or MMC card into the SD/MMC slot (2) with the metal
contacts facing down.
- Select the other removable disk in your system if you want to use the SD/MMC card.
- MP3 or WMA music files can be copied from and to the drive.
8 USE IT AS A MP3/WMA MUSIC FILES PLAYER
To play MP3 or WMA files, you need to copy the files on to the internal memory of the MP3 player or
insert a SD/MMC card containing MP3 files. (§6)
8.1 HOW TO PLAY MUSIC FILES.
- Push to turn the device On.
- Push to start playing the stored music files.
The display indicates
- Use the volume control (6) to change the volume.
- Use the Skip forward-backward button (4) to select the next (slide right) or previous song (slide
left).
- Push briefly to pauze.
The display indicates
- Push for 2 seconds to stop playing.

8.2 HOW TO REPEAT A PLAYING SONG
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select REPEAT
- Push the Menu button (4) to select :
• ONE: repeat only the displayed song
• ALL: repeat all songs in the memory
• RANDOM: repeat songs randomly
• NORMAL: To disable the repeat function
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm the selection
- Push to leave the menu.
The selected mode will be displayed in the right upper corner
8.3 HOW TO REPEAT A SELECTION OUT OF A SONG
- During play mode, push the Repeat button (5) to set the start point of the selection.
- Push again to set the ending point
- The selected section will be played over and over again.

- Push the Repeat button (5) to stop repeating the selected section.
8.4 HOW TO DELETE ONE SONG
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select DELETE
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm, the first song is displayed.
- Slide the switch right to select the song to be deleted
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Push to leave the menu
8.5 HOW TO DELETE ALL SONGS
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select DELETE ALL
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Push to leave the menu
8.6 HOW TO SET THE EQUALIZER
Depending on the kind of music, 4 different audio tone types can be selected.
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select EQ
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm

- Slide the switch right to select ‘Normal’, ‘Classical’, ‘Pop’ or ‘Jazz’
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Push to leave the menu
8.7 HOW TO PREVIEW ALL THE STORED SONGS
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch (4) right to select PREVIEW
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
Each song will be played for 10 seconds.
The selected mode will be displayed in the right upper corner
- Push to stop preview and continue the playing song.
9 USE IT AS A DIGITAL VOICE RECORDER
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select VOICE
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Slide the switch right to select were you want to store the recorded files (FLASH or MMC/SD) (*only
if a SC or MMC card is installed)
- Press the Menu button (4) to confirm*
- Push the Repeat button (5) for 3 seconds to start recording.
The remaining recording time is displayed in the left lower corner of the display.
- Push the Repeat button (5) again to stop recording.
- The recorded files will be stored and displayed as Vxxx.WAV
To play, Delete and repeat the recorded files, follow the same instructions as playing MP3
files.
Select MUSIC in the menu to use it again as MP3 player
10 HOW TO ADJUST THE CONTRAST
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select CONTRAST
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Slide the switch right to select the desired contrast
- Push Menu button (4) to confirm
- Push to leave the menu.
Warning: Using the backlight will drow a lot of power from the battery.
11 HOW TO ADJUST BACKLIGHT
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select BACKLIGHT
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Slide the switch right to select the backlight time (5secs/10secs/always/disable)

- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Push to leave the menu.
12 HOW TO CHECK THE FREE MEMORY
This function can only be used when the player is in idle mode.
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select MEMORY
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
The Total and Free memory of the internal and SD/MMC card will be displayed.
- Press twice to leave the menu.
13 HOW TO SET THE SHUTDOWN TIME
The device will shut down in idle mode after the set time.
- Press the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select SHUTDOWN
- Press the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Slide the switch right to select the shutdown time (1, 2, 5, 10 minutes or disable)
- Press twice to leave the menu.
14 UTILITY INSTALLATION
Note: For installation in Windows 2000, Q283187 Hot fix or Service Pack 3 needs to be
installed.
14.1 FOR WINDOWS 98/ME/2000/XP
1. Insert the included setup CD in to CD-ROM drive.
2. Execute the SETUP file by double-clicking ‘SETUP ‘, the setup will proceed automatically

3. Click ‘Next’ to proceed or ‘Cancel’ to stop the installation.
4. Read the license agreement and select ‘Yes’ to proceed.

5. The software will be installed in the directory c:\Program Files\ Generic\ ACMMC1. Press ‘Next’
(recommanded) or select another directory after selecting ‘Browse’
6. Setup will install the program icons in the displayed Folder. Press ‘Next’ to continue or type first
another folder name.
