1 INTRODUCTION
Your Pocket MP3 player 128 combines a digital audio player, USB Flash memory drive, SD/MMC card
reader and Digital Voice Recorder.
Simply plug it in a USB port of your computer and it will detect it as two removable drives.
With your pocket MP3 player, you can load music from your computer, you can use it as hard drive for
data storage or you can record a conversation.

4 BUTTONS
4.1 DESCRIPTION
4.2 USE OF THE SKIP FORWARD-BACKWARD / MENU BUTTON
This button has 3 functions.
It can be either slided to the right or the left to skip forward
or backward, or you can push the button to enter a menu
and confirm a setting.

5 GETTING STARTED
5.1 BATTERY INSTALLATION
• Open the battery compartiment by pulling the battery cover clip (7).
• Insert one AAA. Follow the polarity as indicated in the battery compartiment.
• Close the battery compartiment
• Press the on/off button to turn on the device
• The batterylevel can be checked in the upper left of the LCD.
• Press the on/off button for 2 seconds to turn off the device
Important :
Dispose of the batteries at a designated battery disposal unit and not in
the household waste. Do not shortcircuit & dispose of in fire.
Remove the battery if this device is not going to be used for a long period.
5.2 DISPLAY INFORMATION

Use the provided USB cable to connect this device on your computer.
Press the on/off button to turn on the device. Your system will detect this device.

For windows 98/ME, you may be required to install the device driver (computer
dependent). If so, direct the installation program to the path where the device driver is
located on the provided CD-Rom ‘:\driver’.The device will be detected automatically.
6 PUTTING SONGS ON TO THE PLAYER
Once the device driver is well installed, and the USB connection is completed, two extra removable
disks will be displayed in your system. One of the disks will be assigned to the internal memory, the
other for the SD/MMC card reader (§7). You can now copy Music (MP3/WMA) files to the selected
drive.
Important:You can only use the supplied Utility software to format the Memory. If you
format it in another way, you will not be able to play music files.
Remark:The bitrate of the MP3/WMA files copied to the memory must be between 32 Kbps
and 256 Kbps. Please check your MP3 files on errors and bitrate before copying to your

7 USE IT AS A SD MMC CARD READER
- Insert an SD or MMC card into the SD/MMC slot (2) with the metal
contacts facing down.
- Select the other removable disk in your system if you want to use the SD/MMC card.
- MP3 or WMA music files can be copied from and to the drive.
8 USE IT AS A MP3/WMA MUSIC FILES PLAYER
To play MP3 or WMA files, you need to copy the files on to the internal memory of the MP3 player or
insert a SD/MMC card containing MP3 files. (§6)
8.1 HOW TO PLAY MUSIC FILES.
- Push to turn the device On.
- Push to start playing the stored music files.
The display indicates
- Use the volume control (6) to change the volume.
- Use the Skip forward-backward button (4) to select the next (slide right) or previous song (slide
left).
- Push briefly to pauze.
The display indicates
- Push for 2 seconds to stop playing.

8.2 HOW TO REPEAT A PLAYING SONG
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select REPEAT
- Push the Menu button (4) to select :
• ONE: repeat only the displayed song
• ALL: repeat all songs in the memory
• RANDOM: repeat songs randomly
• NORMAL: To disable the repeat function
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm the selection
- Push to leave the menu.
The selected mode will be displayed in the right upper corner
8.3 HOW TO REPEAT A SELECTION OUT OF A SONG
- During play mode, push the Repeat button (5) to set the start point of the selection.
- Push again to set the ending point
- The selected section will be played over and over again.
The selected mode will be displayed in the right upper corner
- Push the Repeat button (5) to stop repeating the selected section.
8.4 HOW TO DELETE ONE SONG
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select DELETE
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm, the first song is displayed.
- Slide the switch right to select the song to be deleted
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Push to leave the menu
8.5 HOW TO DELETE ALL SONGS
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select DELETE ALL
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Push to leave the menu
8.6 HOW TO SET THE EQUALIZER
Depending on the kind of music, 4 different audio tone types can be selected.
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.

8.7 HOW TO PREVIEW ALL THE STORED SONGS
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch (4) right to select PREVIEW
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
Each song will be played for 10 seconds.
The selected mode will be displayed in the right upper corner
- Push to stop preview and continue the playing song.
9 USE IT AS A DIGITAL VOICE RECORDER
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select VOICE
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Slide the switch right to select were you want to store the recorded files (FLASH or MMC/SD) (*only
if a SC or MMC card is installed)
- Press the Menu button (4) to confirm*
- Push the Repeat button (5) for 3 seconds to start recording.
The remaining recording time is displayed in the left lower corner of the display.
- Push the Repeat button (5) again to stop recording.
- The recorded files will be stored and displayed as Vxxx.WAV
To play, Delete and repeat the recorded files, follow the same instructions as playing MP3
files.
Select MUSIC in the menu to use it again as MP3 player
10 HOW TO ADJUST THE CONTRAST
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select CONTRAST
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Slide the switch right to select the desired contrast
- Push Menu button (4) to confirm
- Push to leave the menu.
Warning: Using the backlight will drow a lot of power from the battery.
11 HOW TO ADJUST BACKLIGHT
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select BACKLIGHT
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Slide the switch right to select the backlight time (5secs/10secs/always/disable)

12 HOW TO CHECK THE FREE MEMORY
This function can only be used when the player is in idle mode.
- Push the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select MEMORY
- Push the Menu button (4) to confirm
The Total and Free memory of the internal and SD/MMC card will be displayed.
- Press twice to leave the menu.
13 HOW TO SET THE SHUTDOWN TIME
The device will shut down in idle mode after the set time.
- Press the Menu button (4) to enter the menu.
- Slide the switch right to select SHUTDOWN
- Press the Menu button (4) to confirm
- Slide the switch right to select the shutdown time (1, 2, 5, 10 minutes or disable)
- Press twice to leave the menu.
14 UTILITY INSTALLATION
Note: For installation in Windows 2000, Q283187 Hot fix or Service Pack 3 needs to be
installed.
14.1 FOR WINDOWS 98/ME/2000/XP
1. Insert the included setup CD in to CD-ROM drive.
2. Execute the SETUP file by double-clicking ‘SETUP ‘, the setup will proceed automatically

3. Click ‘Next’ to proceed or ‘Cancel’ to stop the installation.

5. The software will be installed in the directory c:\Program Files\ Generic\ ACMMC1. Press ‘Next’
(recommanded) or select another directory after selecting ‘Browse’
6. Setup will install the program icons in the displayed Folder. Press ‘Next’ to continue or type first
another folder name.

7. Once setup is completed, press ‘Finish’.
14.2 HOW TO FORMAT THE INTERNAL FLASH MEMORY
1. Go to start -> Programs
2. Slect ACMMC1 Music player -> Format
3. In the Drive field, click the down arrow to select the desired drive.

4. Enter the volume label (drive name) and press ‘Start’
5. Press ‘Close’ when finished.
15 WARRANTY
15.1 WARRANTY PERIOD
The Topcom units have a 24-month warranty period. The warranty period starts on the day the new unit
is purchased. Consumables or defects causing a negligible effect on operation or value of the
equipment are not covered.
The warranty has to be proven by presentation of the original purchase receipt, on which the date of
purchase and the unit-model are indicated.
15.2 WARRANTY HANDLING
A faulty unit needs to be returned to a Topcom service centre including a valid purchase note. If the unit
develops a fault during the warranty period, Topcom or its officially appointed service centre will repair
any defects caused by material or manufacturing faults free of charge.
Topcom will at its discretion fulfil its warranty obligations by either repairing or exchanging the faulty
units or parts of the faulty units. In case of replacement, colour and model can be different from the
original purchased unit.
The initial purchase date shall determine the start of the warranty period. The warranty period is not
extended if the unit is exchanged or repaired by Topcom or its appointed service centres.

15.3 WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Damage or defects caused by incorrect treatment or operation and damage resulting from use of non-
original parts or accessories not recommended by Topcom are not covered by the warranty.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by outside factors, such as lightning, water and fire, nor
any damage caused during transportation.
No warranty can be claimed if the serial number on the units has been changed, removed or rendered
illegible.
Any warranty claims will be invalid if the unit has been repaired, altered or modified by the buyer or by
unqualified, non-officially appointed Topcom service centres.
CLEANING
Clean the telephone with a slightly damp cloth or with an anti-static cloth. Never use
cleaning agents or abrasive solvents.
This product is in compliance with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of the R&TTE directive 1999/5/EC.

1 INTRODUCTIE
De Pocket MP3 player 128 is een combinatie van een digitale audio speler, een USB flash geheugen,
een SD/MMC geheugenkaartlezen en een Digitale Memofoon.
Na een eenvoudige aansluiting met uw PC, zullen 2 verwisselbare schijfstations gecreëerd worden.
U kan muziek van uw PC in uw speler laden, u kan hem gebruiken als harde schijfstation of u kan

4.1 BESCHRIJVING
4.2 GEBRUIK VAN DE VOORUIT-ACHTERUIT / MENU TOETS
Deze toets heeft 3 functies
Men kan de toets zowel naar links als rechts bewegen om
vooruit of achteruit te spoelen, of men kan op de toets
drukken om in het menu te gaan of een instelling te
bevestigen.
5 INSTALLATIE
5.1 PLAATSING VAN DE BATTERIJ
• Open het batterijdeksel door aan de batterijclip te trekken (7).
• Plaats één AAA batterij. De polariteit staat aangeduid in het batterijvak.

•Druk op de Aan/Uit toets om het toestel te activeren.
• Het batterijniveau wordt aangegeven in de linker bovenhoek van de display.
•Druk 2 seconden op de Aan/Uit toets om het toestel uit te schakelen.
Belangrijk :
Ontdoe u op een milieuvriendelijke wijze van batterijen.
Sluit batterijen nooit kort en gooi ze nooit in vuur.
Verwijder de batterij uit het toestel wanneer u dit niet gebruikt voor een langere tijd.
5.2 DISPLAY INFORMATION

5.3 HOOFDTELEFOON AANSLUITING
Sluit de hoofdtelefoon als volgt aan:
5.4 USB AANSLUITING
Gebruik het meegeleverde USB aansluitsnoer om het toestel met uw computer te verbinden. Druk op
de Aan/Uit toets om het toestel te activeren. Uw computer zal het toestel detecteren en het display
zal het volgende weergeven.
Voor Windows 98/ME, zal het noodzakelijk zijn om de driver te installeren. Wanneer de
computer hiernaar vraagt, verwijs dan naar de CD-ROM ‘:\driver’. Na de installatie van de
driver zal het toestel automatisch worden gedetecteerd.
6 MUZIEK FILES NAAR DE POCKET MP3 KOPIËREN.
Wanneer de drivers zijn geinstalleerd en het toestel is verbonden met de USB van uw computer, dan
zullen twee verwisselbare schijven in uw systeem gedetetecteerd worden. Een van de verwisselbare

schijven wordt toegewezen aan het intern geheugen, het andere aan de SD/MMC geheugenkaart lezer
(§7). U kan nu MP3 bestanden naar de geselecteerde verwisselbare schijf kopiëren.
Belangrijk: Om de verwisselbare schijven te formatteren, dient men gebruik te maken van
de meegeleverde software (§14.2). Wanneer u de schijven anders formatteerd, dan kan
men geen muziekbestanden afspelen.
Opmerkingen: De bitrate van de MP3 of WMA bestanden mag niet kleiner zijn dan 32 Kbps
en niet groter dan 256Kbps. Controleer de muziekbestanden op bitrate en fouten alvorens
ze te kopiëren naar het geheugen.Voor meer informatie en programma’s kan u surfen naar

7 GEBRUIK HET TOESTEL ALS SD/MMC GEHEUGENKAART
LEZER.
- Plaats een SD of MMC geheugenkaart in het toestel met de metalen contacten naar onderen.
- Selecteer de andere verwisselbare schijf in uw systeem.
- MP3 of WMA bestanden kunnen nu gekopiëerd worden naar het
schijfstation.
8 GEBRUIK HET TOESTEL ALS MP3/WMA AUDIO SPELER.
Om MP3 of WMA bestanden af te spelen dienen deze te worden gekopiëerd naar het inter geheugen
of men kan een SD of MMC geheugenkaart in het toestel plaatsen welke MP3 muziekbestanden bevat.

8.1 MUZIEKBESTANDEN AFSPELEN.
- Druk op de Aan/Uit toets om het toestel te activeren.
- Druk nogmaals op de Aan/Uit toets om de opgeslagen bestanden af te spelen.
Op de display verschijnt
- Gebruik de volume toets (6) om de geluidsterkte te wijzigen.
- Gebruik de Volgend-/ Vorig nummer toets (4) om een ander nummer te kiezen.
- Druk op de Aan/Uit toets om te pauzeren.
Op de display verschijnt
- Druk 2 seconden op de Aan/Uit toets om te stoppen.
8.2 EEN NUMMER HERHALEN.
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om het menu te activeren.
- Selecteer REPEAT door de Menu toets naar rechts of links te bewegen.

- Druk op de Menu (4) toets om één van volgende functies te selekteren:
• ONE: herhaling van het weergegeven nummer
• ALL: herhaling van alle nummers in het geheugen
• RANDOM: de nummers in het geheugen worden willekeurig afgespeeld
• NORMAL: normale weergave van alle nummers
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om de selektie te bevestigen.
- Druk om het menu te verlaten.
De geselekteerde mode wordt weergegeven in de bovenhoek van de display.
8.3 EEN GEDEELTE VAN EEN NUMMER HERHALEN
- Druk op de herhaal toets (5) tijdens de weergave om het beginpunt te selecteren.
- Druk opnieuw op de toets om het eindpunt te selecteren.
- Het stuk tussen het begin- en eindpunt wordt steeds herhaald.
De geselekteerde mode wordt weergegeven in de bovenhoek van de display
- Druk nogmaals op de herhaal toets (5) om het herhalen te beëindigen.
8.4 EÉN NUMMER WISSEN.
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om het menu te activeren.
- Selecteer DELETE door de Menu toets naar rechts of links te bewegen.
- Druk op de Menu (4) toets, het eerste nummer wordt weergegeven op de display.
- Selecteer het te wissen nummer door de Menu toets naar rechts te bewegen.
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om te bevestigen.
- Druk om het menu te verlaten.
8.5 ALLE NUMMERS WISSEN.
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om het menu te activeren.
- Selecteer DELETE ALL door de Menu toets naar rechts of links te bewegen.
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om te bevestigen.
- Druk om het menu te verlaten.
8.6 DE KLANKKLEUR VERANDEREN (EQUALIZER).
Afhankelijk van het type muziek, kan men kiezen tussen 4 klankkleuren.
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om het menu te activeren.
- Selecteer EQ door de Menu toets naar rechts of links te bewegen.
- Druk op de Menu (4) toets om te bevestigen.
- Selecteer de gewenste klankkleur (Normaal, Klassiek, Pop of Jazz) doormiddel van de Menutoets
(4) .
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om te bevestigen.
- Druk om het menu te verlaten

8.7 EEN INTRO VAN ALLE NUMMERS BELUISTEREN.
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om het menu te activeren.
- Selecteer PREVIEW door de Menu toets naar rechts of links te bewegen.
- Druk op de Menu (4) toets om te bevestigen.
Elk nummer zal 10 seconden worden gespeeld.
De geselekteerde mode wordt weergegeven in de bovenhoek van de display
- Druk om de functie te desactiveren.
9 GEBRUIK ALS DIGITALE DICTAFOON.
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om het menu te activeren.
- Selecteer VOICE door de Menu toets naar rechts of links te bewegen.
- Druk op de Menu (4) toets om te bevestigen.
- Selecteer het geheugen waar men de opgenomen memo-boodschappen wil opslaan (FLASH of
MMC/SD) (*enkel bij gebuik SD/MMC geheugenkaart)
- Druk op de Menu (4) toets om te bevestigen.*
- Druk 3 seconden op de Repeat-toets (5) om de opname te starten.
De beschikbare opnametijd wordt weergegeven in de linkerhoek van de display.
- Druk op de Repeat-toets (5) om de opname te stoppen.
- De opnames worden opgeslagen en weergegeven als Vxxx.WAV
Volg dezelfde instucties van de audio speler voor de weergave, wissen en herhalen van
opnames.
Selekteer MUSIC in het menu als je het toestel opnieuw wenst te gebruiken als audio
speler.
10 DISPLAY CONTRAST INSTELLEN
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om het menu te activeren.
- Selecteer CONTRAST door de Menu toets naar recht of links te bewegen.
- Druk op de Menu (4) toets om te bevestigen.
- Selecteer de gewenste contrast doormiddel van de Menutoets (4) .
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om te bevestigen.
- Druk om het menu te verlaten
11 DISPLAY VERLICHTINGSTIJD AANPASSEN
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om het menu te activeren.
- Selecteer BACKLIGHT door de Menu toets naar rechts of links te bewegen.
- Druk op de Menu (4) toets om te bevestigen.
- Selecteer de gewenste verlichtingstijd doormiddel van de Menutoets (4) ‘5secs/10secs / always

12 HET VRIJE GEHEUGEN CONTROLEREN
Deze functie kan enkel geactiveerd worden in rust.
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om het menu te activeren.
- Selecteer MEMORY door de Menu toets naar rechts of links te bewegen.
- Druk op de Menu (4) toets om te bevestigen.
Het Totale en Vrije geheugen van het interne geheugen en SD/MMC (indien gebruikt) wordt
weergegeven.
- Druk 2x om het menu te verlaten.
13 DE UITSCHAKELTIJD INSTELLEN.
Het toestel zal na de ingestelde tijd vanuit rust automatisch uitschakelen.
- Druk op de Menu toets (4) om het menu te activeren.
- Selecteer SCHUTDOWN door de Menu toets naar rechts of links te bewegen.
- Druk op de Menu (4) toets om te bevestigen.
- Selekteer de gewenste uitschakeltijd ‘1, 2, 5, 10 minuten of disable (uitschakelen)
- Druk 2x om het menu te verlaten.
14 SOFTWARE INSTALLATIE
Nota: Voor de installatie in Windows 2000, zal ‘Q283187 Hot fix’ of ‘Service Pack 3’ moeten
worden geïnstalleerd.
14.1 VOOR WINDOWS 98/ME/2000/XP
1. Plaats de meegeleverd CD-ROM in de CD speler.
2. Open de inhoud van de CD en start de SETUP door 2x op ‘SETUP ‘ te klikken. Het SETUP
programma wordt automatisch gestart.
