BEFORE YOU BEGIN
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should
always be followed to avoid the risk of fire, electric shock and
injury to persons. So please
READ FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE
OPERATION.
1. Only use this fan as described in this manual, other
non-recommended use may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
2. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse unit plug
or cord In water or spray with liquids
3. Only plug the unit into a power outlet with the same voltage as
rated voltage of it.
3. Keep the fan out of the reach of children. This fan is not for
use by children.
4. Do not leave the fan running unattended
5. Never insert fingers, pencils or any other object through the
guards when fan is running.
6. Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable
fumes.
7. Unplug the plug when move the unit from one location to
another.
8. Unplug the plug when open the guard grilles for cleaning.
9. Do not immerse or expose the Motor Housing, Power Cord, or
Plug to water or other liquids. Do not use the fan near a
bathtub, a shower, a swimming pool, or anywhere water could
splash.
10. Do not plug/unplug the fan into/from the electrical outlet with
wet hand.
11. Never operate the fan without fan guard in place, as serious
personal injury may result.

12. Indoor use only, Do not use outdoor. Do not place the fan in or
near window. rain may create an electrical hazard.
13. To disconnect, grip plug and pull from wall outlet. Never yank
on cord.
16. To avoid fall down causes injury or damage, only operate the
unit after it is firmly mounted on a strong flat wall surface.
17. WARNING:To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, DO NOT
use this fan with any solid-state speed control devices.
1. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person
in order to avoid a hazard.
2. This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse
indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse
blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as
per the user servicing instructions (follow product marking for
proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement
fuse blows, a short-circuit may be present and the product
should be discarded or returned to an authorized service
facility for examination and/or repair.
3. Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard
fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination
and/or repair.
4. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw
rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under
furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area
and where it will not be tripped over.

ASSEMBLE THE FAN
1. Rear grill assembly
WARNING: Before use the fan, must assemble it by joining
every individual parts firmly together, and follow the steps
below for the work.
2-1. Unscrew the screw on the front of the motor (Fig. 1-A for HI-FAN-16WMPRO-1P,
Fig.1-B for HI-FAN-20WMPRO-1P).
2-2. Place the rear grill against the motor housing（Fig.1 & Fig.2）
2-3. Align the holes with the screw holes on the housing, then tighten the screw to
secure the rear grill to the motor (Fig.1 & Fig.2)

3-1. Remove the nut from the motor shaft (Fig.2)
3-2. Slide the propeller onto the motor shaft by aligning its slot with the pin in the
shaft (Fig.2)
3-3. Secure the propeller with the nut. (Fig.2)

4. Front grill assembly
4-1. Remove the screw and nut in the bottom of the front grill (Fig.3)
4-2. Place the front grill against the rear grill with its top buckle encase
the rim of the rear grill, then turn all other buckles encasing the rim also.(Fig.3)
4-3. Tighten the two grills with screw and nut again. (Fig.3)
I. FIX FAN ON WALL
WARNING: Before use the fan, must fix it firmly on a strong flat wall surface,
and follow the steps below for the work.
1. Draw a vertical line on wall ( Fig. 4)

2. Drill three holes in the vertical line with a diameter as that of the wall plugs
provided. space between two holes is 6.4 cm. (Fig.5).
3. Insert each hole a wall plug . ( Fig.6)
4. Put bracket on wall, align its three holes at three wall plugs (Fig.6 )
5. Drive three tapping screws provided through the three holes of the bracket into
the wall plug and secured it firmly against the wall .(Fig.6)
6. Drive two screws provided ( M4 ) into two upper holes in the bracket, leaving a
gap of 5mm between the screw head and the bracket (Fig. 7)
7. Hang on wall the unit align its two key holes at two screws in bracket .(Fig.8)
8. Drive two screws provided ( M4 ) through the low two holes of the base into the
bracket and secured the unit firmly against the bracket.(Fig.8)
9. Tighten the two upper screws through the base upper hole also.(Fig.8)

Now the unit is ready for use.
III. OPERATION
The unit can be used alone or in conjunction
with an air conditioner unit to circulate already
cooled air or force it into other rooms.
1. To operate the fan, slide the speed control
bar to High “3”, for strong wind, Low ”1” for
mild one, or Medium ”2” for wind between
them. To turn off the fan, slide the speed
control bar to off position “0”. (Fig.9)
2. When turn on, the unit can also be oscillation by pushing down the knob at top of
its head or still in any position by pulling the knob up ( Fig.8)
3. To adjust the tilt of the unit you should loosen the screw knob at the right first,
then turn up or down the unit head to the desire angle, tighten again the screw
knob. ( Fig.8 )
It is normal for the motor to feel warm to the touch during operation. The motor is
thermally protected and will automatically shut off should it overheat for any reason.
If this happens, immediately disconnect the fan from the power outlet.

6. Drive two screws provided ( M4 ) into two upper holes in the bracket, leaving a
gap of 5mm between the screw head and the bracket (Fig. 7)
7. Hang on wall the unit align its two key holes at two screws in bracket .(Fig.8)
8. Drive two screws provided ( M4 ) through the low two holes of the base into the
bracket and secured the unit firmly against the bracket.(Fig.8)
9. Tighten the two upper screws through the base upper hole also.(Fig.8)
CLEANING / MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
ATTENTION
FAN BLADE & FRONT GRILL CLEANING
User Servicing Instructions
Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for your unit..
1. Always unplug the fan before cleaning or disassembling.
2. Do not allow water to drop on or enter into fan housing.
3. Be sure to use a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.
4. Do not use any of the following as a cleaner. Gasoline, thinner, Or benzene.
1. Remove the screw and nut at the bottom of front grill,
2. Turn open all buckles at the rim of the grill and remove the front grill.
3. Clean the fan blade and grill with a soft damp cloth. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
REMOVE THE FAN BLADE. Do not allow the motor or other electrical
components to be exposed to water.
4. Replace front grill and secure with the screw and nut removed in the first step.
5. Turn all buckles back to the rim.
Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug
by pulling on cord.
Open fuse cover. Slide open fuse access cover on top of attachment plug
towards blades.
Turn fuse holder over to remove fuse. Remove fuse carefully.
Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse(provided with product).
Close fuse cover. Slide closed the fuse access cover on top of attachment plug.
Risk of fire. Do not replace attachment plug. Contains a safety device (fuse) that
should not be removed. Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged.

Tornado Fans warrants this product to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the
applications specified in the Owner's Manual for a period of 12 months for the whole fan from the
date of purchase. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser of this product.
This warranty excludes damage, accidental or otherwise, to the unit not caused by a defect in
material or workmanship.
The warranty also exlcudes damage caused by misuse, tampering, modification, missassembly, repairs
or alternations, or failure to adequately maintain and care for the unit. Operating this product under any
conditions others than those recommended or at voltages other than indicated will also void this warranty.
For warranty issues, contact the place of purchase for repair/ replacement opportunities. The original
dated receipt or proof of purchase must accompany all returns.
All warranties, expressed or implied, are limited for 12 months for the whole fan from the date of
purchase. Please register at www.tornado-fans.com/registration once you received the products to
get the extended warranty if there is any. Tornado is a registered trademark.
Some states do not allow for the limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, or do
not allow limitation on implied warranties. The above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and may also include other rights that vary state by state.
