Narrative Bid Specifications
Specified Unit CV 30 Vacuum, Model: 91449
Summary
The specified unit shall be a commercial grade single motor upright vacuum, with a 12 inch
cleaning path. The vacuum motor will power the and the brush. The drive belt for the brush
shall be located in a separate sealed compartment. The vacuum motor must have a minimum
performance lifetime of 800 hours. Standard features will include onboard vacuum wand and
at least two attachments.
The unit shall have filters and filter bags that are enclosed and sealed within a hard body
cover.
The warranty shall be as follows:
Two years parts / One year labor. Wear item and abuse and misuse not covered.
Technical
Information
The unit shall be powered by a 110 volt motor (1.5 hp / 9 amp / 1150 w). The motor shall be
easily accessible for service and have a minimum of 800 hour rating. The motor shall feature
a safety thermal shut down when vacuum air temperature exceeds 239° due to a clog in the
vacuum or full filter bag. The motor shall have replaceable carbon brushes.
Cord Electric cord shall be a 40’, 18 gauge, 3 wire.
Adjustable Handle
The handle of the vacuum will be aluminum and feature two adjustable height settings. The
handle will also have free floating flutted cord protection device. The handle grip shall be a
closed loop one piece design
Filter Bag
Housing
The unit shall have a quick release automatic bag installation feature that will prevent bags
being torn during the installation process.
The filter housing will incorporate safety lockout devices that prevent the vacuum from being
operated without filters or filter bags.
The standard filter bag will be a 3-ply disposable Clean Breeze Filter bag.
Bag Full Light The unit shall have a bag full light that illuminates when the filter bag is full or when a blockage
occurs in the vacuum hose or filters.
Vacuum Hose &
Accessories
The unit shall have an onboard vacuum wand with a flexible four and one hose and two
accessories. The hose and wand should not require any set up and have a quick release
feature for both the vacuum hose and the bottom brush housing base.
In addition the vacuum hose should have a protective strain relieve build into the wand
connection
Brush Head
The unit shall have a V shaped double row beater bar. The brush core shall be constructed of
ABS plastic and the bristles shall be constructed of Nylon (Polyamide PA6). The beater bar
shall be driven via an electric vacuum motor that is protected by a mechanical clutch to
prevent damage due to blockage or obstructions.
The brush head shall have a large object ledge that directs paperclips, coins and large objects
directly into the throat of the vacuum.
Wheels Wheels shall be 3 1/4” in diameter and constructed in a shock absorbing design using the
wear resistant plastic material Polyamide 66.
Non Marking
Bumper
The unit shall have a non-marking bumper that protects the entire front of the brush housing
and furniture.
Quick Release
Base Plate
The unit shall have a quick release bottom plate to access the brush without using tools. The
plate shall have a quick release dials that hold the plate in place.
