3.Whenthebatteryisfullycharged,unplugthecharger
fromtheelectricaloutlet,thendisconnectthecharger
leadsfromthebatteryposts(Figure1).

CheckingFluidLevels
Beforestartingtheengineforthersttime,checktheengine
oilandhydraulicuidlevels.RefertotheOperator'sManual
formoreinformation.
SettingtheEngineRPM(CE
Only)
IfyouaresettingupthismachineforuseintheEuropean
Community(CE),youneedtopermanentlyadjusttheengine
speedsothatitdoesnotrunabove3300RPM,asfollows:
1.Starttheengineandrunitathalfthrottlefor5to10
minutestowarmitup.
Important:Theenginemustbewarmbefore
makingthisadjustment.
2.MovethethrottlelevertotheFastposition.
3.Checktheenginespeedonthetachometer.
Itshouldbearound3600RPM.
4.Loosenthejamnutsecuringthehighidleadjusting
screwontheengine(locatedonthethrottle/choke
controllinkage—Figure2).

5.Turnthehighidleadjustingscrewoutwardtolowerthe
RPMtobetween3200and3300RPM.
Important:Ifyouexceed3300RPM,theengine
willnotbeincompliancewithCEregulationsand
cannotbelegallysoldorusedintheEuropean
Community.
6.Securethescrewwiththejamnut,checkingtheengine
RPMagainasyoudoso.
7.Slidethesmallaluminumtubeoverthehighidle
adjustingscrewandjamnut.
8.Crimpthetubedowntothescrewshaftwithapliers
betweenthescrewheadandthejamnutsothatthejam
nutcannotbeloosenedinthefuture.
Important:Thetubemustbefullyoverthejam
nuttopreventaccesstoit.
9.Closethehoodandtightenthehoodlockingscrew .
Important:Youmusttightenthehoodlocking
screwtoensurethatthehoodcannotbe
accidentallyopenedwithouttools,complyingwith
CEsafetyregulations.
InstallingtheProductionYear
Decal(CEOnly)
IfyouaresettingupthismachineforuseintheEuropean
Community,youneedtoaddtheproductionyeardecaltothe
machine.Installthedecaljustabovetheserialplateonthe
machine,followingtheinstructionsprovidedonthedecal.
