switchatanytime,evenwhilemowing.
Thisfeatureonlyreducesthegroundspeedwhenthe
reelisengagedandliftedofftheground.Ithasno
effectongroundspeedwhenthereelisdisengaged.
Ifthisfeatureisactivatedwhilemowingandyouturn
offthereel,themachinewillspeedup.Ifyouare
mowingataslowspeedalready,theEZ-Turnfeature
willnotslowthemachineonaturn.

Automatic-MotorBrake
Themachineisequippedwithanautomatic-motor
brakethatpreventsitfromrollingwhenthemachine
isshutoff.Themotorbrakeisonwheneverthe
tractiondriveisintheNEUTRALpositionoryoumove
thespeedcontroltotheZEROposition,exceptinthe
followingcircumstances:
•Whenthemachineisturnedoff,usethe
parking-brakelatchtoensurethattheservice
brakeisconsistentlyengaged.
•Whenyoustartthemachinewiththekeyswitch,
themotorbrakeisinitiallydisengaged.After
drivingthemachine,themotorbrakefunctions
normally.
•Ifyoumovethespeedcontroltozerospeedwhile
thereelsareengaged(i.e.,whilemowing),the
brakedoesnotengage.Thisfeatureallowsyou
tomovetothespeedcontroltotheZEROposition
whilemowingandpullthemachinerearwardto
makecoursecorrections.

Kickstand
Thekickstand(Figure22)ismountedtotherearof
themachine.Usethekickstandwhenyouinstallor
removethetransportwheelsorthecuttingunit.
•Tousethekickstandtoinstallthetransportwheels,
lowerthekickstandtothegroundandstepdown
ontheloopwhilepullingupandbackonthe
lower-centerhandle(Figure21).
CAUTION
Themachineisheavyandmaycauseback
strainifliftedimproperly.
Putyourfootpressuredownonthe
kickstandloopanduseonlythe
