13/36
3.2. General safety instructions
• The operator should read all warning signs and instructions in the manual and on
the lift table before using it.
• Do not operate a lift table unless you have been trained or authorised to do so.
• Do not exceed the maximum capacity.
• The operator should wear safety shoes and gloves when using or maintaining the
lifting table.
• It is forbidden to carry or lift passengers.
• The lift table can’t be used if it’s damaged or when faults appear.
• Do not use the lift table on a slope. It is designed to be used on even and level
floors.
• Be aware of hazardous situations like ledges or potholes, bumps and floor
obstructions, debris, overhead obstructions and high-voltage conductors,
inadequate surface support to withstand all load forces imposed by the product.
• Check if the local voltage and frequency is the same as the input specification of
the lift table.
• All the electrical connection and disconnection operations must be carried out by
skilled and competent personnel.
• Do not use the lift table in an explosive or flammable environment.
• Do not operate the product unless you are of age.
• The person responsible for the use of the product must make sure that all of the
safety rules in force in the country of its use are applied, to guarantee that the
equipment is used in conformity with the use for which it is destined and to avoid
any dangerous situation for the user.
TVH Parts Holding NV cannot envisage each possible circumstance that may result
in danger. Therefore the warnings given in this publication and which appear on
the equipment are not exhaustive. In the event that equipment, procedures, work
methods or working techniques are used that are not specifically advised by the TVH
company, it is necessary to make sure that there is no danger to the operator or other
people.
The lift table is equipped with a pressure valve and an overflow valve:
• The pressure valve on the machine is factory-set for the maximum load capacity of
400 / 800 / 1000 / 2000 / 4000kg or according to the capacity mentioned on the lift
table.
• The pressure relief valve is set to avoid the risk of overloading. When the machine
is overloaded, the overflow valve opens to prevent lifting, because that could result
in a dangerous situation.

14/36
4. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
The lift table must be lowered completely when it is not in use. When not in use, the lift table
can be stored horizontally on a pallet. To do this, follow the next steps:
1Bring the lift table to the lowest position.
2Disconnect the electric plug.
3Attach the ring bolts to the lift table.
4Attach lifting chains to the ring bolts.
5Lift up the lift table using a lift truck.
6Place the lift table onto a pallet.
7Secure the lift table to the pallet.

15/36
8Move the pallet with a pallet truck or lift
truck.
The lift table must always be stored in a dry environment. If the lift table will be stored for
more than one month, lubricate all necessary parts (see chapter7).
If necessary, the lift table can be transported with a lift truck using the attached ring
bolts, or on a pallet. Pay attention to the maximum capacity of the lifting equipment
used. Theweight of the lift table can be found on the type plate. The lift table must be
empty when transporting it.

5.2. Safety instructions for assembly and installation of the product
• Double or triple scissor electric lift tables must be fixed to the floor or ground with
expander bolts or similar. This to prevent unintentional movements.
• Do not use the lift table on a slope. It is designed to be used on even and level
floors.
• Make sure that the flooring can support the lift table and its capacity.
• The operator should wear safety shoes and gloves when using or maintaining the
lifting table.
• Pay attention not to deform the frame or platform. The lift table can be moved with
a lift truck using slings attached to the ring bolts.
• Do not install the lift table in an area where flammable gases can be present.
• Be careful when unpacking the lift table so as not to damage the product.
• Carefully read the manuals of the lift truck and drill before using this equipment.
5.3. Required materials for assembly
• A drill and bits to drill the holes for installing the lift table onto the floor. Depending on the
type of floor, choose the most appropriate equipment.
• A lift truck to safely move the lift table.
• Expansion screws, depending on the type of floor, choose the most appropriate bolts.
5.4. Assembly of the product
For the electric lift table, there is no assembly necessary. Safely remove the packaging and
the product is ready to use.
To secure the lift table to the ground or to install it into a pit, carefully read the next topic.
5.5. Installation of the product (models HFTE0007– HFTE0033)
If the lift table is going to be installed in a pit, these are the requirements for the pit:
• Pit length: length of the platform+ 30mm
• Pit width: width of the platform+ 30mm
• Pit depth: minimum height+ 5mm

17/36
Make sure the pit is clean and there is no water or other fluids in it that can damage
the electrical system of the lift table.
Make sure that the flooring is flat and that it can support the lift table and its capacity.
To attach the lift table to the ground, follow the next steps:
1Mark the location of the pre-drilled mounting
holes on the floor.
2Drill holes in the floor so that the lift table
can be anchored to the floor.
3Attach the ring bolts to the lift table.
4Attach lifting chains to the ring bolts.
5Position the lift table into its desired position.
Make sure that it is positioned with the fixed
arm to the side where the load will be loaded
onto the lift table.
6Connect the power supply.
7Test the lift table to make sure it functions
properly. See chapter6 for operating
instructions. If the lift table doesn’t function
properly, see chapter8 for troubleshooting.
8Anchor the lift table to the floor with
expansion bolts or similar.

6. OPERATION
6.1. Safety instructions for operating the product
• A damaged or malfunctioning product must never be used. If damage or
malfunctions are discovered during pre-operation inspection or function tests,
theproduct must be tagged and removed from service.
• The operator may not wear any loose objects, such as necklaces, rings, scarves…
as they may become entangled in the product and thus cause harm to the operator.
• Do not operate a lift table unless you have been trained or authorised to do so.
• Always shut down the power when leaving the lift table unattended.
• Do not exceed the maximum load capacity.
• Do not insert feet or hands in the scissor mechanism.
• Do not lower the table too fast. The load could fall down and create a dangerous
situation.
• Keep watching the condition of the load. Stop operating the lift table if the load
becomes unstable.
• The weight of the goods should be distributed equally over the platform. You can
use full capacity when the load is uniformely distributed over the entire platform
(figI). 50% of the capacity can ben used when the load is uniformely distributed
over half the length of the platform (figII), 33% of the capacity can be used when
the load is uniformely distributed over the half the width of the platform (figIII).
• Be careful not to put too much pressure from above on the lift table. This can occur
when pressing load on the lift table with for example a lift truck.
• Do not lift people on the lift table.
• Check for obstructions when raising or lowering the lift table.
• Do not use the lift table on a slope. It is designed to be used on even and level
floors.
• When goods are being transported or lifted, bystanders should keep a minimum
distance of 1metre.
• The operator should wear safety shoes and gloves when using or maintaining the
lifting table.
• In normal conditions the lifting table moves without a lot of noises.
• If the lifting table doesn’t lift, it may be overloaded, check the troubleshooting
guide in chapter8.
• If the lifting table descend automatically, check the troubleshooting guide in
chapter8.
