1PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The TQC Surface Profile and TQC Coating thickness gauge is a simple instrument for measuring the point peak-to-valley height of a
surface and to measure coatings. This model contains 2 different tips, 1 for roughness and 1 for coating thickness, which means
You can change the instrument from measuring surface roughness to coating thickness easily.
2MEASURING ROUGHNESS GAUGE
1. Press the On/Off button to switch the gauge on.
2. Choose parameter by pressing the IN/MM button.

5. Gently remove a piece of paint with a diameter of 8mm. from the surface. Try to remove the paint without damaging the
underground material.
6. Place the needle on the removed paint. Make sure the aluminium footing stands on the painted area.
7. The Coating thickness appears on the display.
3 BATTERY REPLACEMENT
If the display blinks it’s necessary to replace the battery.
-Remove the back panel of the gauge by unscrewing the 4 screws.
-Remove the metal strip that holds the battery
-Replace battery
-Replace metal strip and gauges back panel

MAINTENANCE
•Clean the instrument using a soft dry cloth. Don’t use water, abrasives or solvents like acetone, never clean the instrument by
any mechanical means. The surface of the digital indicator can be cleaned with dry alcohol.
•Prevent mechanical shocks or contact with sharp object.
•Batteries should be removed when the instrument is not used for an extended time.
•Don’t expose the instrument to high temperatures.
•Avoid contact with flammable objects.
•We advise you to regularly reset the zero-point, partly because metal slightly deforms under influence of temperature which
might influence the measurement.
