1 Introduction
Valued Trigon - Customer,
We are exc ted that you have chosen to purchase the Exxpert headphones ampl f er.
Th s un t was bu lt us ng the h ghest qual ty control to nsure utmost prec s on n
manufactur ng.
Whether you are a beg nner to H gh-F or advanced user, t s h ghly recommended that
you read and understand th s user’s manual thoroughly before us ng your new ampl f er.
Be sure to keep th s manual eas ly access ble as t could come n handy dur ng normal use
of th s ampl f er.

2 General equip ent description
The Exxpert s a headphone ampl f er whose outstand ng son c character st cs
correspond to a concept on and equ pment that meets the h gh demands.
It has a h gh level nput and output as well as two headphone jacks to wh ch headphones
w th a nom nal mpedance of 32 - 250 Ohm can be connected. The mon tor ng volume s
adjusted v a a h gh-qual ty stereo potent ometer. The c rcu t concept s purely analog!
The ntegrated power supply s ensured by an analog power supply, wh ch largely
el m nates sound-fad ng network nfluences.
2.1 Safety Instructions
Trigon Elektronik GmbH w ll not assume any respons b l ty for damages
occurred from unsafe handl ng of the product or from not adher ng to the recommend
safety nstruct ons below.
- The ampl f er should not be used un-mon tored n close prox m ty to heat produc ng
dev ces such as Water heaters, F replaces or Flammable mater als.
- The ampl f er s not des gned to w thstand heavy mpacts or severe v brat ons.
- The ampl f er should not be used unmon tored when be ng transported from a cold
env ronment nto a warm room.
- The ampl f er should not be used when placed out n d rect contact w th the sun.
- Insure that the nstallat on locat on for th s product has adequate vent lat on.
- The ampl f er should not be doused w th any type of l qu d. It s mperat ve that no
l qu d get ns de the un t.
- Never use th s product w thout the sh elded top cover nstalled.
- Before remov ng the top cover always nsure that the AC cord has been removed
from the AC outlet and that the product has sat to dra n any res dual current.
- Never short any of the fuses. Replace broken fuses only w th or g nal fuses of the
same value and type.
- Do not attempt to serv ce th s un t. Repa rs are only to be done by author zed serv ce
centers or through the factory d rect. Any such unauthor zed repa rs w ll result n a
vo ded warranty.
- Always make sure that your complete aud o system s shut off before chang ng any
cables or connect ng any other components.

2.2 Installation Infor ation
Dur ng unpack ng, please nspect the un t for any potent al transportat on damage. If you
not ce any damage, please get n contact w th your dealer.
Conf rm the contents of the box. In add t on to the Exxpert , you should also have the
follow ng:
- Power cord
- User’s Manual
- Warranty Card
Place the un t on a dry, level surface. Be sure that the un t has good vent lat on around t.
Strong magnet c f elds commonly found n ampl f er transformers and halogen l ght
transformers can nduce hum nto a system. Because of th s, t s best to place the un t a
reasonable d stance from such dev ces. Also, the aud o nterconnects should not be run n
parallel to AC power cables as th s can also nduce no se.
Hum s also produced from l ght bulbs. It s best to place aud o equ pment at least 3 feet
away from them.
Try to ut l ze natural l ght and make sure not to use the Exxpert unmon tored next to
heat sources.
2.3 Warranty and Service Infor ation
In choos ng the Exxpert , you have selected a valuable and technolog cally advance
product. We at Trigon are try ng to mprove our qual ty control through all steps n the
product on cycle to nsure that all Trigon products meet our qual ty expectat ons. If a
problem s exper enced, Trigon Elektronik GmbH offers a three-year
warranty. Th s warranty covers repa rs for any manufactur ng defects.
It does not cover damages that are the result of neglect or m suse. It also s cons dered
vo d f unauthor zed personnel do any repa rs or mod f cat ons. Any alterat ons to the
ser al number, or transportat on damage are not covered as part of th s warranty.

3 Initial Setup
After unpack ng the headphone ampl f er, we recommend that you f rst connect the dev ce
to the power supply and turn t on. The power sw tch s located d rectly next to the ma ns
socket on the back of the un t.
On the front, one of the two LEDs should l ght up. The l ght-em tt ng d odes nd cate the
ga n that has just been set. Depend ng on the headphones used, the ampl f cat on can be
adjusted n two stages. Th s s done w th the push button on the front s de. The volume s
adjusted w th the rotary knob.
The two headphone jacks on the front s de are connected n parallel, that means the
volume sett ng also affects both connect ons at the same t me. Two headphones can be
connected s multaneously.
On the back of the dev ce, there are two pa rs of RCA jacks bes de the ma ns connect on
and the ma ns sw tch. The INPUT jack s connected to the dev ce whose s gnal you want
to play v a the Exxpert . The OUTPUT jacks have the same s gnal, but they are
adjusted accord ng to the volume sett ng. Here, e.g. A small power ampl f er or an act ve
mon tor loudspeaker can be connected.
