Notes:
• Hard drives are sensitive to static electricity and must be handled properly to prevent
data loss. Always handle your hard drive with caution. Wear an anti-static strap
(Tripp Lite model: P999-000) when transporting it, or touch a grounded metal
surface to discharge yourself of static electricity prior to handling the drive.
• If your SATA hard drive has not been formatted, you will first need to format it using
your computer’s Disk Management utility.
• Before unplugging the adapter, make sure to properly eject the drive from your
computer to avoid any potential data loss.
1. Connect the included power supply to the unit and plug it into a Tripp Lite
Surge Protector, Power Distribution Unit (PDU), or Uninterruptible Power
Supply (UPS).
2. Connect the included USB 3.1 Gen 2 cable between your computer and
the docking station.
3. Connect your 2.5” or 3.5” SATA drive to the port on the unit.
4. Turn on the power to the unit. The blue LED on the unit will illuminate to
indicate a link with the USB port. Once powered on, the SATA drive will be
recognized by your computer.
3-Year Limited Warranty
TRIPP LITE warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of
three (3) years from the date of initial purchase. TRIPP LITE’s obligation under this warranty is limited
to repairing or replacing (at its sole option) any such defective products. To obtain service under
this warranty, you must obtain a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number from TRIPP LITE or
an authorized TRIPP LITE service center. Products must be returned to TRIPP LITE or an authorized
TRIPP LITE service center with transportation charges prepaid and must be accompanied by a brief
description of the problem encountered and proof of date and place of purchase. This warranty does
not apply to equipment which has been damaged by accident, negligence or misapplication or has
been altered or modified in any way.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, TRIPP LITE MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Some
states do not permit limitation or exclusion of implied warranties; therefore, the aforesaid limitation(s)
or exclusion(s) may not apply to the purchaser.

Instalación
Requisitos del Sistema
Notas:
• Los discos duros son sensibles a la electricidad estática y deben manipularse
adecuadamente para evitar la pérdida de datos. Manipule siempre su disco duro
con precaución. Utilice una correa antiestática (Tripp Lite modelo: P999-000)
durante el transporte o toque una superficie metálica conectada a tierra para
descargar la electricidad estática antes de manipular la unidad.
• Si su disco duro SATA aún no ha sido formateado, necesitará formatearlo primero
usando la herramienta de Administración de Discos de su computadora.
• Antes de desenchufar el adaptador, asegúrese de expulsar correctamente la unidad
de la computadora para evitar cualquier posible pérdida de datos.
1. Conecte la fuente de alimentación incluida a la unidad y enchúfela en un
Supresor de Sobretensiones, Unidad de Distribución de Energía (PDU), o
Sistema de Respaldo Ininterrumpible (UPS) de Tripp Lite.
2. Conecte el cable USB 3.1 Gen 2 incluido entre su computadora y la

Garantía
Garantía Limitada de 3 años.
TRIPP LITE garantiza durante un período de tres (3) años a partir de la fecha de compra inicial que
este producto no tiene defectos de materiales ni de mano de obra. La obligación TRIPP LITE bajo esta

Installation
Configuration requise
Remarques :
• Les lecteurs de disque dur sont sensibles à l'électricité statique et doivent être
manipulés de façon adéquate afin de prévenir tout risque de perte de données.
Toujours manipuler le lecteur de disque dur avec prudence. Porter un dispositif
antistatique (modèle Tripp Lite : P999-000) lors de son transport ou toucher une
surface métallique mise à la masse pour décharger les charges électrostatiques du
corps avant de toucher au lecteur.
• Si le lecteur de disque dur SATA n'a pas encore été formaté, il doit d'abord être
formaté en utilisant l'utilitaire Disk Management de l'ordinateur.
• Avant de débrancher l'adaptateur, s'assurer d'éjecter correctement le lecteur de
l'ordinateur afin de prévenir toute perte de données potentielle.
1. Brancher le bloc d'alimentation inclus à l'appareil et le brancher à un
parasurtenseur Tripp Lite, à l'unité de distribution de puissance (PDU) ou
à un onduleur.
2. Brancher le câble USB 3.1 Gen 2 inclus entre l'ordinateur et la station
d'accueil.
3. Raccorder le lecteur SATA de (6,35 cm (2,5 po) ou de 8,89 cm (3,5 po)
au port sur l'appareil.
4. Mettre l'appareil sous tension. Le voyant à DEL bleu sur l'appareil
s'allumera pour indiquer un lien avec le port USB. Une fois sous tension,
le lecteur SATA sera reconnu par l'ordinateur.
