EN3air cleaner AirgoClean® 250 E•Check accessories and connection parts for possibledamage prior to every use of the device. Do not use anydefective devices or device parts.•Ensure that all electric cables outside of the device areprotected from damage (e.g. caused by animals). Neveruse the device if electric cables or the power connectionare damaged!•The electrical connection must correspond to thespecifications in chapter Technical data.•Insert the mains plug into a properly secured mainssocket.•Observe the technical data when selecting extensions tothe power cable. Completely unroll the extension cable.Avoid electrical overload.•Before carrying out maintenance, care or repair work onthe device, remove the mains plug from the mains socket.Hold onto the mains plug while doing so.•Switch the device off and disconnect the power cable fromthe mains socket when the device is not in use.•Do not under any circumstances use the device if youdetect damages on the mains plug or power cable. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by themanufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualifiedpersons in order to avoid a hazard.Defective power cables pose a serious health risk!•When positioning the device, observe the minimumdistances from walls and other objects as well as thestorage and operating conditions specified in the Technicaldata chapter.•Make sure that the air inlet and outlet are not obstructed.•Make sure that there are no loose items or dirt located inthe immediate surroundings of air inlet and air outlet.•Do not remove any safety signs, stickers or labels from thedevice. Keep all safety signs, stickers and labels in legiblecondition.•Do not expose the device to heat or direct sunlight.•Make sure that the suction side is kept free of dirt andloose objects.•Dispose of replaced filters properly, especially afterfiltering substances hazardous to health (e.g. asbestos orspray paint mists)•Never use the device as storage place or footstep.•Never select automatic mode if the device is used for virusfiltration.Intended useUse the device for cleaning the air as well as for odourelimination (ionization) in interior spaces only whilst adhering tothe technical data and safety instructions.Improper use•Do not place the device on wet or flooded ground.•Do not place any objects, e.g. clothing, on the device.•Do not use the device outdoors.•Do not use the device in bathrooms and rooms with a highhumidity level.•Do not use the device in rooms where large amounts ofdust are produced, e.g. in production halls, workshops oron construction sites.•Moreover, the integrated filter system is not suited forremoving dusts that are potentially harmful to health (e.g.pollutants) from the air.•Any operation other than as described in this manual isprohibited. Children mayuse it as a dangerous toy.NoteDo not operate the device without a HEPA carbon filterinserted!NoteDo not operate the device without an air filter insertedinto the air inlet!Without the air filter, the inside of the device will beheavily contaminated. This could reduce theperformance and result in damage to the device.NoteDo not use abrasive cleaners or solvents to clean thedevice.Behaviour in the event of an emergency1.Switch off the device.2.In an emergency, disconnect the device from the mainsfeed-in: Hold onto the mains plug while pulling the powercable out of the mains socket.3.Do not reconnect a defective device to the mains.Information about the deviceDevice descriptionThe device serves to filter the room air with the aim of reducingslight and medium contaminations and odours in order toimprove the air quality. It is equipped with a powerful fansucking in the air at the front. The air flows through the filterand is cleaned. Afterwards the fan releases the clean air backinto the room.The device contains a 2-1-filter on each side, consisting of aHEPA and carbon filter and a separate prefilter on each side.The device uses the HEPA filters to remove bacteria, viruses,pollen, dust mite residue, mould fungus spores and otherallergens from the air. The integrated carbon filters withactivated carbon also remove odours from the air. The prefilters(made of synthetic fibre) filter out large dust particles before theair flows into the HEPA filters.The HEPA carbon filters are effective against house dust, petallergens, cigarette smoke, smog and particles which can carrysmells and viruses.The device is equipped with an air quality sensor to display theair quality and control air purification automatically.The device is equipped with an automatic mode, night modeand turbo mode.The device has a fully automatic ionisation function in turbomode. In addition, the device is equipped with an on-demandplasma function. The released ions, radicals and electrodesremove pollen, dust, viruses and bacteria from the room air.Thanks to this air purification method, the quality of the room aircan be additionally improved.The four-stage fan (with turbo mode) and the uncomplicated,quick filter change ensure easy operation.Thanks to its compact dimensions the device can betransported conveniently, and owing to its low-noise operation itcan be used indoors.The device is equipped with a control panel for operation and adigital display for controlling the functions.

10ENair cleaner AirgoClean® 250 EErrors and faultsThe device has been checked for proper functioning severaltimes during production. If malfunctions occur nonetheless,check the device according to the following list.The device does not start:•Check the power connection.•Check the power cable and mains plug for damage.•Check the on-site fusing.•Wait for 10minutes before restarting the device. If thedevice is not starting, have the electrics checked by aspecialist company or by Trotec.•Check the air inlet(3) and air outlet(1) for proper fit.The device is loud or vibrates:•Check whether the device is set up in a stable and uprightposition.•Check the device cover for proper fit.The device gets very warm, is loud or is losingperformance:•Check the air inlets and air filters for dirt. Remove externaldirt.The device works with reduced capacity:•Check the HEPA carbon filter for dirt. If necessary, clean orreplace the HEPA carbon filter.•The prefilter is soiled and has to be cleaned. The CleanLED(20) is illuminated in red. Clean the prefilter (seechapter Operation and chapter Maintenance).•The air outlet is obstructed. Make sure that the air outlet isnot blocked. Remove any loose objects from the air outlet.•The HEPA carbon filter's plastic cover was not removedbefore installation. Take the HEPA carbon filter out of theplastic cover.The device works with no capacity or the air quality doesnot improve:•Check whether any windows and/or doors of the room areopen. If so, close them.•The HEPA carbon filter is not installed. Install the HEPAcarbon filter.•Check the minimum distance to walls or other objects.Position the device a little more in the room's centre ifrequired.The air quality LED is illuminated in red for a longer periodof time:•Check the c air quality in the room. The air in the roommay be heavily contaminated. Wait for a few minutes tosee whether the colour of the air qualityLED changes.•The air quality sensor is clogged or soiled. Windows anddoors should be closed, otherwise dust and othercontamination is able to enter the room. Clean the airquality sensor as described in the Maintenance chapter.The device gives off an unpleasant odour:•Check the HEPA carbon filter for dirt. If necessary, clean orreplace the HEPA carbon filter.•Smoke, e.g. dense tobacco smoke, odours andcontaminations may be in the air. 12ENair cleaner AirgoClean® 250 EActivities required before starting maintenanceWarning of electrical voltageDo not touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands.•Switch the device off.•Hold onto the mains plug while pulling the power cable outof the mains socket.Warning of electrical voltageTasks which require the housing to be openedmust only be carried out by authorised specialistcompanies or by Trotec.Cleaning the housingClean the housing with a soft, damp and lint-free cloth. Makesure that no moisture enters the housing. Protect electricalcomponents from moisture. Do not use any aggressive cleaningagents such as cleaning sprays, solvents, alcohol-based orabrasive cleaners to dampen the cloth.NoteClean the air outlet if required.Remove it from the device and clean it with a soft,damp and lint-free cloth.NoteClean the air quality sensor if required.Carefully clean it from the outside with a soft, dampand lint-free cloth.Visual inspection of the inside of the device for dirt1.Remove the air filters.2.Use a torch to illuminate the openings of the device.3.Check the inside of the device for dirt.4.If you see a thick layer of dust, clean the inside of thedevice with a vacuum cleaner.5.Reinsert the air filters.

EN13air cleaner AirgoClean® 250 EChanging the HEPA carbon filterNoteDo not operate the device without the HEPA carbonfilters inserted!NoteThe HEPA carbon filters cannot be cleaned and mustbe replaced if necessary.NoteThe lifetime of the HEPA carbon filters depends on theambient conditions and the application period of thedevice.•The HEPA carbon filters have to be replaced as soon asthey are dirty. This is brought to light e.g. by a reducedcapacity (see chapter Errors and faults).•Make sure that the HEPA carbon filters and the prefiltersare installed before switching the device on.•Without the HEPA carbon filters and the prefilters, thedevice cannot fulfil its air cleaner function, and the insideof the device will be soiled.The HEPA carbon filters have to be replaced in case of heavysoiling. The HEPA carbon filterdegree of contamination(21) isilluminated.If required, visually inspect the HEPA carbon filters and prefiltersfor dirt.Please proceed as follows on both sides of the device:1.Remove the air inlet(3) from the device.

2.Remove the prefilter(24) from the device.

3.Pull the strip(25) to take the HEPA carbon filter(26) out ofthe device.

14ENair cleaner AirgoClean® 250 E4.Dispose of the HEPA carbon filter according to the nationalregulations.5.Take the new HEPA carbon filter out of the plastic cover.6.Insert the new HEPAcarbon filter(26) into the device.Make sure that the strips(25) are positioned on theoutside.

7.Reinsert the prefilter(24) into the device.

8.Put the air inlet(3) back on the device.

9.Press the Ionizer button(10) for 3seconds to reset theHEPAcarbon filter or prefilter.Cleaning the pre-filtersIf the Prefilter degree of contamination LED(20) lights up andthe indication Clean appears, the prefilters must be cleaned (seechapter Operation and chapter Errors and faults).Please proceed as follows on both sides of the device:1.Remove the prefilter(24) from the device.

EN15air cleaner AirgoClean® 250 E2.Clean the filter using a slightly damp, soft, lint-free cloth. Ifthe filter is heavily contaminated, clean it with warm watermixed with a neutral cleaning agent.3.Allow the filter to dry completely.
