Power Requirements
WARNING
WARNING Avoid the risk of electric shock or severe injury. When the power cable gets damaged
it should only be replaced by the manufacturer or at a Authorized Service Center.
The build quality of the electric insulation is altered if spills or liquid gets into the tool while in use.
Do not expose to rain, liquids and/or dampness.
Before gaining access to the terminals all power sources should be disconnected.
Tools with double insulation and reinforced insulation are
equipped with a polarized plug (one prong is wider than the other). This plug will
only fit in the right way into a polarized outlet. If the plug cannot be introduced into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still doesn’t fit, call a qualified electrician to install
for you a polarized outlet. Do not alter the plug in any way. Both insulation types
eliminate the need of both a grounded third power cord with three prongs or a
grounded power connection.
When using an extension cable, verify the gauge is enough for the power that your product needs. A lower
gauge cable will cause voltage drop in the line, resulting in power loss and overheating. The following table shows the right
size to use depending on cable’s length and the ampere capability shown in the tool’s nameplate. When in doubt use the
next higher gauge.

Work area
Keep your work area clean, and well lit.
Cluttered and dark areas may cause accidents.
Never use the tool in explosive atmospheres, such as in the
presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
Sparks generated by power tools may ignite the flammable material.
Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance while operating
the tool.
Distractions may cause loosing control.
Electrical Safety
The tool plug must match the power outlet. Never modify
the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with
grounded power tools.
Modified plugs and different power outlets increase the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces, such as pipes,
radiators, electric ranges and refrigerators.
The risk of electric shock increases if your body is grounded.
Do not expose the tool to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering into the tool increases the risk of electric shock.
Do not force the cord. Never use the cord to carry, lift or unplug
the tool. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or
moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable
for outdoor use.
Using an adequate outdoor extension cord reduces the risk of electric shock.
If operating the tool in a damp location cannot be avoided, use
a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected supply.
Using a GFCI reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense
when operating a tool. Do not use a power tool while you are
tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
A moment of distraction while operating the tool may result in personal injury.
Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye
protection.
Protective equipment such as safety glasses, anti-dust mask, non-skid shoes,
hard hats and hearing protection used in the right conditions significantly
reduce personal injury.
Prevent unintentional starting up. Ensure the switch is in the
“OFF” position before connecting into the power source and /
or battery as well as when carrying the tool.
Transporting power tools with the finger on the switch or connecting power
tools with the switch in the “ON” position may cause accidents.
Remove any wrench or vice before turning the power tool on.
Wrenches or vices left attached to rotating parts of the tool may result in personal
injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
This enables a better control on the tool during unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep
hair, clothes and gloves away from the moving parts.
Loose clothes or long hair may get caught in moving parts.
If you have dust extraction and recollection devices connected
onto the tool, inspect their connections and use them correctly.
Using these devices reduce dust-related risks.
Power Tools Use and Care
Do not force the tool. Use the adequate tool for your
application.
The correct tool delivers a better and safer job at the rate for which it was designed.
Do not use the tool if the switch is not working properly.
Any power tool that cannot be turned ON or OFF is dangerous and should be
repaired before operating.
Disconnect the tool from the power source and / or battery
before making any adjustments, changing accessories or
storing.
These measures reduce the risk of accidentally starting the tool.
Store tools out of the reach of children. Do not allow persons
that are not familiar with the tool or its instructions to
operate the tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Service the tool. Check the mobile parts are not
misaligned or stuck. There should not be broken parts
or other conditions that may affect its operation.
Repair any damage before using the tool.
Most accidents are caused due to poor maintenance to the tools.
Keep the cutting accessories sharp and clean.
Cutting accessories in good working conditions are less likely to bind and are
easier to control.
Use the tool, components and accessories in accordance with
these instructions and the projected way to use it for the type of
tool when in adequate working conditions.
Using the tool for applications different from those it was designed for, could
result in a hazardous situation.
Service
Repair the tool in a Authorized Service Center
using only identical spare parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

• Use only screwdriver bits

• Keep the screwdriver bits in good working condition. It
reduces load on the tool and increases its useful life.
Select de adequate bit
• Take your time to assess the job to be done.
Double-check all the necessary caution measures are being
observed before starting to work.
• Adjust correctly the bit to the bit
holder.
• Before fitting screws into a wall, floor or
ceiling verify there are not embedded objects like cabling,
power lines or pipes.
• Verify the switch is in the OFF position (see page 7 start
up and operation control section) before plugging in the
tool. Otherwise the tool might unexpectedly star running
causing severe injuries.
• Turn off and disconnect the tool before
reversing the bit rotation. Do likewise before installing or
replacing bits.
Before operating the screwdriver
• Hold the tool by the insulated surfaces designed for this
purpose. The holder could wiring or with its own power
cord. Making contact with a power cord causes the tool
metal parts get electrified and may result in electric shock
to the user.
• Do not subject the tool to excessive efforts.
• Refrain from setting the tool immediately after using
where there are particles and/or dust. Debris may be
absorbed into the tool mechanism and be damaged.
• Hold the power tool by the gripping surfaces when
making an option where the fastener can make contact
with hidden wires or its own power cord.
Fasteners that come into contact with an energized cable
can turn the metal parts of the power tool into living parts
and, as a result, cause an electric shock to the operator.
When operating the screwdriver
• This tool is designed to operate with
screws. IT IS NOT A DRILL.
• Do not try to modify in any way the tool or its
accessories.

Assembly and disassembly of the tip.
• Insert the tip into the tip holder until it stops. The
magnetic tip holder allows the tip to be secured.
• To change the screwdriver tip, turn the depth
adjustment knob to the maximum and remove the tip.
Pliers are sometimes required to remove the accessory.
• Intermittent operation:
Connect the plug into the power outlet.
Press the switch (A) to start the screwdriver.
Speed increases when applying more pressure on the switch.
To stop, just release the switch.
• Continuous Operation:
Connect the plug into the power outlet.
Press the switch (A) and block it pressing the continuous use button (B).
To stop, press and then, release the switch.
During the operation the motor will be running but the tip
will not turn until the screw applies pressure in the material. This feature is
useful to insert the screw in the tip before screwing it into the material.

Rotation Direction
• The screwdriver rotation direction is controlled by the rotation
direction selector button (C). This function enables the screwing and
unscrewing function.
• To screw press the button with the arrow pointing towards the tip
holder.
• To unscrew press the button with arrow pointing towards the
handle .

Screwing depth adjustment
• The depth stop can be adjusted so that screws can be attached to a
specific depth, determined by the needs of the job.
• Follow the chart on the collar to increase or decrease the depth of
the screwing.
• To set the screw deeper into the workpiece, turn the adjust knob to
the right.
• To set the screw higher into the workpiece, turn the adjust knob to
the letf.

• We recommend lubricating the tool transmission every
carbon brush change in a Authorized
Service Center.
• To guarantee adequate motor cooling, always keep slots
clean and free of obstructions.
• Regularly inspect all the mounting screws. Double-check
they are properly tighten. If any screw is loose tighten
immediately.
• Service should only be made in a
Authorized Service Center. Service and maintenance
performed by non-qualified people may be dangerous and
lead to personal injuries. It also makes the product
Warranty void.
LubricationCleaning and care
Carbon brush replacement
Service • Carbon brushes should be checked periodically.
• When one or both carbon brushes show signs of wear go
to a Authorized Service center to have
both carbon brushes replaced. When replaced, see if the
new carbon brushes move freely in the carbon brush
housing. Ask to turn on the tool during five minutes to
make the contact in the carbon brushes and the commuter
even.
• Use only original spare carbon
brushes, designed specifically with the right strength and
electric resistance for each type of motor. Carbon brushes
with different specifications may damage the motor.
• When replacing carbon brushes, always change both.
• Press firmly the screw bit against the material to be
screwed until the depth stop sits against the material and
the screwing insert is released.
• To loosen screws, set the rotation direction selector
button in the unscrewing position and turn the depth
control knob to the maximum.

• Se recomienda que la transmisión de la herramienta sea
lubricada cada cambio de carbones en un Centro de
Servicio Autorizado .
• Siempre mantenga las ventilas limpias y libres de
obstrucciones para garantizar un enfriamiento adecuado
del motor.
• Inspeccione regularmente todos los tornillos de montaje
y asegúrese de que estén apretados correctamente. En
caso de que alguno de los tornillos esté suelto, apriételo
inmediatamente
• El servicio de las herramientas debe ser realizado
únicamente en un Centro de Servicio Autorizado
. El servicio y mantenimiento realizado
por personas no calificadas puede resultar peligroso y
llegar a ocasionar daños personales además de invalidar la
garantía del producto.

Cambio de carbones
Servicio
• Los carbones deben revisarse periódicamente y ser
reemplazados siempre por un Centro de Servicio
Autorizado cuando se hayan
desgastado. Después de que hayan sido reemplazados,
pida que se inspeccione si los nuevos carbones pueden
moverse libremente en el porta-carbón y solicite que
enciendan la herramienta y la mantengan encendida
durante 5 minutos para emparejar el contacto de los
carbones y el conmutador.
• Sólo se deben de usar carbones de repuesto
originales, diseñados
específicamente con la dureza y la resistencia eléctrica
adecuada para cada tipo de motor. Los carbones fuera de
especificaciones pueden dañar el motor.
• Cuando se haga el cambio de carbones siempre deben
cambiarse los dos carbones.

• Oprima la punta del tornillo firmemente contra el
material que será atornillado hasta que el tope de
profundidad descanse contra el material y la inserción de
atornillado se libere.
• Para aflojar tornillos, coloque el botón selector de
dirección de rotación en la posición de desatornillar y gire
la perilla de control de profundidad hasta el máximo.
Operación

Montaje y desmontaje de la punta
• Introduzca la punta dentro del porta puntas hasta que tope.
El porta puntas magnético permite que la punta se fije

Puesta en marcha
• Operación intermitente:
Conecte la clavija al tomacorriente.
Presione el interruptor (A) para hacer que el destornillador empiece a funcionar.
La velocidad se incrementará al aplicar más fuerza sobre el interruptor.
Para interrumpir su uso, simplemente suelte el interruptor.
• Operación continua:
Conecte la clavija al tomacorriente.
Presione hasta el fondo el interruptor (A) y bloquéelo, apretando el botón de uso
continuo (B).
Para interrumpir su funcionamiento, presione y después suelte el interruptor.
Durante la operación el motor estará en marcha, pero la punta no
girará hasta aplicar presión con el tornillo en el material. Esto es muy útil para insertar
el tornillo en la punta antes de atornillarlo en el material.

Dirección de rotación
• La dirección de rotación del destornillador se controla por medio
del botón selector de dirección de rotación (C). Con esta función
podrá seleccionar entre atornillar o desatornillar.
• Para atornillar presione el botón con la flecha apuntando hacia el
porta puntas.
• Para desatornillar presione el botón con la flecha apuntando hacia
el mango.

Encendido y control de operación
• Para cambiar la punta de destornillador, gire la perilla de
regulación de profundidad hasta el máximo y retire la punta. En
ocasiones se requieren pinzas para quitar el accesorio.
Ajuste de profundidad de atornillado
• El tope de profundidad puede ajustarse para que los tornillos puedan ser
atornillados a una profundidad específica, determinada por las necesidades
del trabajo.
• Siga el gráfico que se encuentra en el collarín para aumentar o disminuir
la profundidad de atornillado.
• Para asentar el tornillo con mayor profundidad en la pieza de trabajo,
gire la perilla de ajuste hacia la derecha.
• Para asentar el tornillo más alto en la pieza de trabajo, gire la perilla de
ajuste hacia la izquierda.

Advertencias de seguridad
para uso de destornilladores eléctricos
• Use solamente las puntas del
destornillador recomendadas por .
• Mantenga en buenas condiciones las puntas del
destornillador. Esto reduce la carga sobre la herramienta y
alarga su vida útil.
Elija la punta apropiada
• Tómese su tiempo para evaluar el trabajo a realizar y
asegúrese de haber respetado todas las precauciones
necesarias antes de comenzar a trabajar.
• Ajuste correctamente la punta al
porta puntas.
• Antes de introducir un tornillo en una
pared, suelo o techo, asegúrese de que no haya objetos
empotrados, tales como cables o conducciones eléctricas o
tuberías.
• Asegúrese que el interruptor esté apagado (ver pag. 7
sección encendido y control de operación) antes de
conectar la herramienta, de lo contrario ésta podría
funcionar inesperadamente, pudiendo provocar lesiones
graves.
• Apague y desconecte la herramienta
antes de invertir el sentido del giro de la punta, así como
de instalar o reemplazar una punta.
Antes de operar el destornillador
• Sostenga la herramienta por las superficies aislantes
cuando realice una operación donde la punta pueda
hacer contacto con cableados ocultos de alimentación.
El contacto con un cable energizado hace que las partes
metálicas de la herramienta también tengan corriente y
puedan provocar una descarga eléctrica al operador.
• No someta la herramienta a esfuerzos excesivos.
• Evite colocar la herramienta en un sitio con partículas
y/o polvo inmediatamente después de haber sido usada,
estas pueden ser absorbidas dentro del mecanismo de la
herramienta y así dañarla.
Mientras opera el destornillador
• Esta herramienta está diseñada para
funcionar con tornillos. NO ES UN TALADRO.
• No intente modificar de modo alguno la herramienta o
sus accesorios.

PELIGRO
• Sujete la herramienta eléctrica por las superficies de agarre
auslantes cuando realice una opción donde el sujetador
pueda hacer contacto con cables ocultos o con su propio
cordón de alimentación.
Los sujetadores que entran en contacto con un cable
energizado pueden convertir en partes vivas a las partes
metálicas de la herramienta eléctrica y como consecuencia
de esto, ocasioar una descarga eléctrica al operador.
