1.4 INFORMATION ABOUT THE MACHINE
1.4.1 EXPECTED APPLICATIONS
The Truyard C150 woodchipper is designed to be used in the farming and forestry
sectors. It has been designed to chip branches that have a maximum diameter of 150
mm.
The machine chips through the rotation of a disc with blades. It is further provided
with a cog roller, which is set in motion by the tractor’s power take-off through a
cardan joint.
The machine is not fit for any use other than those from the farming and/or forestry
sectors.
1.4.2 DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
The machine consists of a horizontal feed roller and a blade holding disc on which the
knives are mounted. The disc rotates at a high frequency while the knives chip the
product.
The woodchipper consists basically of:
- a frame with feet for support and/or parking
- towing parts with tires and guidance wheels
- adjustable support leg with a small wheel
- a multiplier group with belts
- a transmission system for roll and/or feeding chain activation
- a special safety device to stop the injection
- a blade holding disc
- a series of knives
- a hopper to introduce the material to be chipped
- an adjustable escape pipe for the chipped product
- a feeding roll
- a feeding chain
Any use of the machine other than the aforementioned ones must
be considered unauthorized and dangerous

1.6 STORAGE
In the case the machine is kept in a non-working state for a long period, it is
necessary to put it into storage in a place that is sheltered from the weather and
protect it in order to avoid damages. Before storage, we recommend to clean the
whole machine carefully and to grease all the mechanic parts properly in order to
protect it from rust.
The storage temperature recommended is between 0°C and 50°C.
Please follow the following instructions before putting the machine into storage for
long periods:
● free the chipping disc from any remains of chipped wood
● clean the machine carefully
● perform a visual check of the machine to detect possible structural
damages, to find possible deep abrasions on the paint, to check that the
original safety labels are in the right positions and that they are whole
and clear
● grease all the mechanical parts and the pintles
● store the machine in a covered room, on a flat and compact surface if
possible

1.7 FIRST USE/ RE-STARTING AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF INACTIVITY
The following instructions must be followed before using the machine for the first
time or after a long period of inactivity:
- check that the machine does not have any damage
- check the mechanical parts. They must be in a good state and they must not
be rusty

- check that the light bar and the electrical system work properly
- grease all the moving parts carefully
- check that all protection parts are in the right position
1.8 SCRAPPING
In the case of scrapping, the machine must be brought to an appropriate scrap
dealer according to the current regulations.
Before the scrapping all the parts made of plastic or rubber, all the electric and
electronic material must be separated from the machine.
Recover the used oil and dispose of it in the special collection centres.
The parts made exclusively of plastic, aluminum or steel can be recycled if they
are brought to the relevant centres.
Used oil must be recovered and must not be dispersed in the
environment because it is classified as dangerous waste
according to the current regulations. For that reason it must be
given to the special collection centres.
