INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
2011- Jeep Wrangler JK
Security Console Insert #276
Please read and fill out the enclosed warranty registration card to activate your warranty.
PARTS CHECKLIST
#1 Console Insert
#10.1 - (4) 5/16” washer #10.2 - (2) 5/16” nylon locknut #10.3 - (2) 5/16”x 7/8” bolt
TOOLS NEEDED
•T-20 Torx bit or driver
•½” Sockets and Ratchet
•½” closed end wrench
•Plastic Body Trim tool
•Electric drill (Optional)
•Marker or pencil
ATTENTION:
•THIS CONSOLE WAS DESIGNED FOR A STOCK OEM VEHICLE, ANY MODIFICATIONS
MADE MAY AFFECT THE FIT INCLUDING: CARPET REMOVAL/CHANGES, LIFT KITS,
SEATS, ETC.
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION.
1. With the lid/armrest (#11.5.5) closed, remove the OEM rear console panel (#11.5.10) using a plastic body trim
removal tool (or grip the edge and pull firmly) by pulling it free from the spring clips. (Figure 1)
2. Opening the armrest, remove the OEM inner console tray by pulling sideways where the tray clips onto pegs at the
console hinge (not illustrated). The OEM inner console tray will not be re-used.
3. Remove the OEM hinge cover (#11.5.11) using a plastic body trim tool (or grip the corner and pull firmly up). The
OEM hinge cover #11.5.11 will not be re-used. (Figure 1)
4. Using a T-20 torx bit or driver, remove the (4) OEM hinge screws (#11.5.9). Support the lid/armrest (#11.5.5) as it will
come loose by removing the screws. (Figure 1)
5. Position the #1 Console Insert into the OEM console making sure the slot in the front of the insert fits over the OEM
12V power plug (if equipped). Make sure the #1 Console insert is centered and square, and is mounted on top of the
OEM lid/armrest hinge bracket. (Figure 2)
***NOTE: The order of installation is: 1) Tuffy #1 Console insert on top, 2) OEM lid/armrest hinge bracket in
the middle, 3) #11.5.1 plastic console on bottom, as illustrated. (Figure 2)
6. Re-install the #11.5.9 OEM hinge screws and tighten. Do not overtighten. (Figure 2)
