1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
All persons operating, servicing or repairing the machine must be thoroughly familiarised
with the instructions of this manual and with the machine itself before starting work.
It is strictly forbidden to allow access to the machine to persons that are unfamiliar with
its operation and safety hazards.
It is strictly forbidden to go beneath the cultivator or cultivator parts whenever the unit is
not mechanically supported. Machine must always be supported if it or part of it must be
lifted up during maintenance.
Ensure that all pins and cotters are on their places and in good condition.
Standing or sitting on the cultivator, or carrying out adjustments or repairs while the
cultivator is in motion is strictly forbidden. The tractor engine must be turned off during
maintenance and repair work.
Damaged hydraulic hoses and components must be replaced without delay. Tractor
hydraulic valves and connections must be leak-free and in good condition. Transportation
position of the machine is dependent on these.
Max. transport speed is 30 km/h.
Cultivator does not cause any substantial increase in the noise level at the driver's cabin.
Possible hearing protection required depends on the tractor noise level.
Use only manufacturer-approved accessories and equipment. The party carrying out
alterations which does not follow manufacturer's instructions is responsible for the
alterations and their consequences.
CultiPlus is intended to use with Tume CultiPack disc cultivator. Only CultiPack can be
used with seed drill.
If extra weights are needed, the only approved way is to add weight plates inside the
cultivator’s front beam.
When unhitching the machine from the tractor all hydraulically lifted elements must be
lowered down to ground. Make sure machine cannot move by itself.

2. HYBRID CULTIVATOR TUME CULTIPLUS
CultiPlus is a trailed cultivator connected to the tractors towing hitch. The first cultivating section has
two rows of tines, the second section has two rows of discs and lastly a wheel packer which works
also as transport wheels (picture 1).

3. PURPOSE OF THE MACHINE
CultiPlus is used for tillage and seed bed preparation. The machine must not be used for any purpose
other than tillage operations such as those mentioned above. Carrying any load on top of the
machine is not allowed. Maximum working speed is 15 km/h. The driving speed is always determined
by the conditions.
For this implement combination driving lines should be selected so that as straight drive lines can
be used as possible. Driving curves causes more stress for the structures.

7
4. CONNECTING THE CULTIVATOR TO TRACTOR AND
TRANSPORT
Tume CultiPulus is a trailed machine. Drawbar is equipped with a hydraulic cylinder which is used
to lift the cultivator from work position to transport position together with the cylinder on top of the
machine. The tine cultivator section raises and lowers in level when hydraulics is used. To lift and
lower the machine, two hydraulic hoses are connected to one tractor’s double action hydraulic
output.

8
DANGER! Lower the machine always to the ground before service and always when
you leave the machine unattended.
Pay attention to the installation and attachment of the hydraulic hoses and electric cables. Hoses
and cables must be secured so that they cannot be pinched, stretched or caught in other structures.
The trajectories should be ensured in practice, by running the cultivator carefully to so steep turn as
it can go in work.
5. ADJUSTMENTS
5.1 Basic adjustment
•Basic adjustment means the height difference between the frames of the tine cultivator and
the disc cultivator. It can be adjusted by means of three holes in the bracket of the tine
cultivator and the direction of the pins.
•Different options for the basic adjustment are shown in pictures 3 and 4.
•In seedbed preparation the tine cultivator section is typically set quite high to achieve shallow
and even seedbed.
•For heavier tillage the tine cultivator section is set lower so that the tines can go deeper and
the disc cultivator smoothens the surface.
•Tine cultivator’s working depth fine adjustment is made by adjusting the length of the lifting
cylinder on top of the machine.
•Tine cultivator is set horizontally level with the drawbar cylinder.
•An adjustable throttle valve (picture 5) has been installed to the hydraulic hose so you can
adjust the cylinder’s movement speed. Try the movement speed carefully and make
necessary adjustments.
•Lifting cylinders and the drawbar cylinder are connected hydraulically to each other so that
when machine is lifted and lowered the tine cultivator frame stays level. Also disc cultivator’s
discs are lifted up for transport and lowered down to working position at the same time.
hydraulic connections between the tine and disc cultivator are marked with one, two or three
dots to the frame and hydraulic hoses (picture 5).

5.2 Tine cultivator adjustments
•The angle of the tines can be adjusted between three positions (picture 6).
•Stone release sensitivity is adjusted by loosening / tightening the spring (picture 7).

5.3 Disc cultivator adjustments
•When tine cultivator’s working depth is adjusted, the disc cultivator working depth is adjusted
by limiting the cylinder movement (picture 8) which determines the working angle of the
cultivating elements. The rigging screws between the disc rows are set to right position in the
factory and usually those are not needed to be adjusted.
•During work the disc cultivator working depth can be reduced and increased back to the set
value, when the machine’s electric switch is turned on and tractor hydraulics are used (picture
9).
•To reduce the ridge formation to the sides the disc cultivator has been equipped with side
disc and spring tines (pictures 10 and 11).
•When disc’s working depth is adjusted, also their lateral position is changed. This can be
compensated by moving the front disc row to left or right by rotating an adjustment screw
(picture 12).

5.4 Rear wheel packer adjustment
•Wheel packer turning must always be locked in CultiPlus use, so when disc and tine
cultivators connected together (picture 13).
•When only CultiPack (disc cultivator part) is connected to the tractor three point linkage,
wheel packer turning must be unlocked.
Picture 13. Wheel packer turning locked.
6. OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
6.1 Additional weights
Additional weights can be installed if needed. They are placed inside the disc cultivator’s front beam.
Flat steel bars can be used, and they can be attached with a help of the pin inside the front beam.
Factory made additional weight kits are also available (picture 14).

14
6.2 Front support wheels
The front support wheels
can be used to maintain
the working depth better,
especially in 4-meter
models (picture. 15).
Picture 15. Front support wheels.
7. SERVICE AND STORAGE
7.1 Tine cultivator section
Grease stone protection joints, drawbar, drawbar cylinder and lifting cylinder sleeves every 50 hours.
Replace worn tip and wing parts on the cultivator tines.
7.2 Disc cultivator section
On top of the support wheel arms there are grease nipples, which must be lubricated at least every
20 hours of operation. The grease nipples at the ends of the working depth cylinder are lubricated
once a season.
Disc bearings must be lubricated at least once per season. Also the tightness of the bearings must
be checked. If there is a need for adjustment, the pin in the disc shaft must be removed. To do this:
remove two M10 screws on the bearing housing. Remove the cover cap from the other end of the
bearing housing (normal thread). The cap is also glued with thread locker and it needs to be heated
to get it open. Turn the disc until the locking pin in the shaft is parallel to the M10 holes. Hit the pin
off from though the holes. Adjust the bearing tightness with the nut at the end of the disc shaft. Install
the pin back. Install the cover cap and M10 screws back, use thread locker.
Support wheel scrapper distance from the wheels can be adjusted. In different conditions this may
be needed. Check also the support wheel air pressure, it should be about 2 bar. Using lower pressure
keeps the tires better clean, but the risk for tire damages increases.
The machine must be cleaned thoroughly after the operating period. All lubrication points must be
lubricated in accordance with the above lubrication instructions. Storing the cultivator indoors is
recommended.
