1. Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das ComTerminalIP ist vorgesehen zum Anschluss an das IP-
Netzwerk einer FlamencoIP+ Rufanlage. Das ComTerminalIP
steuert und überwacht alle Raumfunktionen gemäß DIN VDE
0834. An das ComTerminalIP wird der Zimmerbus RAN ange-
schlossen.
ComTerminalIP, 24V (76 0510 10) wird an die 24-V-DC Span-
nungsversorgung der Station angeschlossen.
ComTerminalIP, PoE (76 0510 00) wird über PoE+ mit Spannung
versorgt.

1. Intended use
The ComTerminalIP is intended for connection to the IP network
of a FlamencoIP+ nurse call system. The ComTerminalIPcontrols
and monitors all room functions in compliance with DIN VDE
0834. The room bus RAN is connected to the ComTerminalIP.
ComTerminalIP, 24V (76 0510 10) is connected to the 24 V DC
power supply of the ward.
ComTerminalIP, PoE (76 0510 00) is supplied by PoE+.
HINWEIS! Die vollständige Installation des Systems ist

VORSICHT! Die Leiterplatten sind mit elektrostatisch

2. Einbaudose setzen
Beim Setzen der Einbaudose den Platzbedarf des
ComTerminalsIP beachten. Vom Mittelpunkt der Dose
muss nach oben und unten ein Platzbedarf von min-
destens 120 mm vorgesehen werden.

CAUTION! The printed circuit boards include electro-
static sensitive components. Avoid touching.
CAUTION Glass – fragile! The front panel of the Com-
TerminalIP is made of glass. Handle with care!
2. Back box installation
When installing the back box consider the space
required for the ComTerminalIP. Measuring from the
centre of the box, the available space must be at least
120 mm above and below.
3. Produktbeschreibung (Abb. A)
Die rote Ruftaste [3] dient zum Auslösen von Rufen. Die Ruftaste
leuchtet schwach zum Finden der Taste im Dunkeln. Sie leuchtet
hell, sobald ein Ruf ausgelöst wird.
Die blaue Alarmtaste [2] ist nur bei eingeschalteter Anwesenheit
aktiv. Sie dient zum Auslösen von Alarmen. Die blaue Alarmtaste
leuchtet schwach zum Finden der Taste im Dunkeln. Sie leuchtet
hell, sobald ein Alarm ausgelöst wird.
Die grüne Anwesenheitstaste [4] dient zum Ein- und Ausschalten
der Anwesenheit von Personal 1. Die gelbe Anwesenheitstaste
[6] dient zum Ein- und Ausschalten der Anwesenheit von
Personal 2. Die Anwesenheitstaste leuchtet, wenn die jeweilige
Anwesenheit eingeschaltet ist.
Touchdisplay [1], Mikrofon [5] und zwei Lautsprecher [7] dienen
bei eingeschalteter Anwesenheit zum Abfragen von nachgesen-
deten Rufen aus anderen Zimmern.
3. Product description (fig. A)
The red call button [3] serves for triggering calls. The call button
is faintly lit to locate the button in the dark. It lights up brightly
as soon as a call is triggered.
The blue alarm button [2] is only active when presence is
switched on. It serves to trigger cardiac alarms. The alarm but-
ton is faintly lit to locate the button in the dark. It lights up
brightly as soon as a cardiac alarm is triggered.
The green presence button [4] serves for switching the presence
of the staff 1 on and off. The yellow presence button [6] serves
for switching the presence of the staff 2 on and off. The pres-
ence button lights up when the corresponding presence is
switched on.
The touch display [1], microphone [5] and two loudspeakers [7]
are used to answer forwarded calls from other rooms when
presence is switched on.

4. Montage der Terminal-Rückwand (Abb. B)
Wandmontage auf zweiteilige Einbaudose.*)
Vorbereitung: Idealerweise das Ethernet-Kabel von unten in die
Einbaudose einführen und ein Keystone-Modul mit RJ45-Buchse
für die Verbindung nutzen. Diese RJ45-Buchse muss über das
kurze Patchkabel [12] an die RJ45-Buchse auf dem Anschlussfeld
des ComTerminalsIP angeschlossen werden. Das Keystone-Mo-
dul ist nicht im Lieferumfang des ComTerminalsIP enthalten.
1. Einen Stecker des kurzen Patchkabels [12] in die RJ45-Buchse
des Keystone-Moduls stecken. Adern der übrigen Kabel vor-
bereiten (siehe Abschnitt „7. Anschließen am Anschluss-
feld“).
2. Das kurze Patchkabel [12] und die vorbereiteten Adern
durch den Ausbruch in der Terminal-Rückwand [10] führen.
3. Terminal-Rückwand [10] mit den Schrauben [11] der Einbau-
dose auf der Einbaudose [8] festschrauben.
4. Adern am Anschlussfeld der Terminal-Rückwand [10] gemäß
Abschnitt „7. Anschließen am Anschlussfeld“ anschließen.
5. Den zweiten Stecker des Patchkabels [12] in die RJ45-Buchse
auf dem Anschlussfeld einstecken.
*) HINWEIS! Wenn die Montage auf einer Einbaudose nicht
möglich ist, kann das ComTerminalIP mit Schrauben und Dübeln
an der Wand befestigt werden, wobei dieselben Bohrungen in
der Terminal-Rückwand benutzt werden.
4. Mounting the pattress (fig. B)
Wall mounting on two-gang back box.*)
Preparation: Ideally, insert the Ethernet cable into the back box
from below and use a Keystone module with RJ45 jack for the
connection. The RJ45 jack must be connected to the RJ45 socket
on the connection field of the ComTerminalIP via the short patch
cable [12]. The keystone module is not included in the scope of
delivery of the ComTerminalIP.
1. Insert one plug of the short patch cable [12] into the RJ45
jack of the Keystone module. Prepare the wires of the other
cables (see section “7. Connecting to the connection field”).
2. Feed the short patch cable [12] and the prepared wires
through outlet in the pattress [10].
3. Fix the pattress [10] using the back box screws [11] to the
back box [8].
4. Connect the connection wires to the connection field in the
pattress [10] according to section “7. Connecting to the con-
nection field”.
5. Insert the second plug of the patch cable [12] into the RJ45
socket on the connection field.
*) NOTE! If mounting on a back box is not possible, the ComTer-
minalIP may be fixed to the wall with dowels and screws using
the same holes in the pattress.
5. Montage des Terminal-Frontteils (Abb. C)
1. Terminal-Frontteil [14] oben auf die Terminal-Rückwand
[10] aufsetzen, so dass ein Scharnier [13] entsteht.
2. Das Terminal-Frontteil mit leichten Druck (Glasbruchge-
fahr!) auf die Terminal-Rückwand herunterdrücken, bis die
Rastnase [15] einrastet.
3. Zur Sicherung kann die Sicherungsschraube [16] unten in die
Bohrung unterhalb der gelben Taste eingedreht werden.
5. Mounting the front panel (fig. C)
1. Place front panel [14] onto the top of the pattress [10] creat-
ing a hinge [13].
2. Press the front panel downwards onto the pattress with low
pressing power (glass!) until the catch [15] engages.
3. For improved security the security screw [16] can be fitted
into the hole below the yellow presence button.

6. Demontage (Abb. D)
1. Falls eine Sicherungsschraube [16] unten am ComTerminalIP
eingedreht ist, die Schraube lösen.
VORSICHT Glasbruchgefahr! Das Terminal-Frontteil
[14] ist nur mit der Rastnase [15] befestigt.
2. Mit einem Schlitzschraubendreher die Rastnase [15] vor-
sichtig nach oben drücken, bis sich das Terminal- Frontteil
[14] löst.
3. Das Terminal-Frontteil [14] nach unten abnehmen.
4. Terminal-Frontteil [14] geschützt ablegen.
6. Dismantling (fig. D)
1. If a security screw [16] is fitted into the base of the ComTer-
minalIP remove it.
CAUTION Glass – fragile! The front panel [14] is fas-
tened only with the catch [15].
2. Use a slotted screwdriver to push the catch [15] upwards un-
til the front panel [14] looses.
3. Remove the front panel [14].
4. Lay down the front panel [14] protected.

Wichtige Hinweise für den Anschluss des Zimmerbusses!
Die Leitung für die Sprachübertragung, d.h. mit den
Adern „MIC“, „LS“ und „SCHB-B“, darf max. 30 mm abge-
mantelt werden, damit die Schirmfunktion erhalten
bleibt. Der Schirmdraht muss an dem Anschlusspunkt
„SCH-B“ angeschlossen werden.
Der Kabelschirm und der Schirmdraht der Leitung mit den
Adern „RAN“, „+24V-Si“ und „0V“ werden nicht ange-
schlossen und müssen in der Einbaudose bis zum Kabel-
mantel entfernt werden.
Die unbenutzten Adern dürfen nicht durchverbunden
werden.
Nicht verwendete Schrauben müssen eingedreht sein.

Important instructions for connection of the room bus!
The cable for speech transmission, i.e. the cable contain-
ing the wires “MIC”, “LS”, and “SCH-B”, may be stripped
for a max. of 30 mm only, to ensure the protective screen
function. The shield wire must be connected to the con-
nection point “SCH-B”.
The cable shield and the shield wire of the cable contain-
ing the wires “RAN”, “+24V-Si” and “0V” are not connect-
ed and must be removed in the back box up to the cable
sheath.
The unused wires must not be interconnected.
Unused screws must be screwed in.

8. Menü „Einstellungen“ benutzen
Das ComTerminalIP muss im Menü „Einstellungen“ konfiguriert
werden.
8.1 Menü „Einstellungen“ öffnen (Abb. G)
Im Standby-Zustand zeigt das Touchdisplay die Systemzeit an.
1. Touchdisplay in dem freien Bereich dreifach antippen.
Das Symbol für „Einstellungen“ (Zahnrad) erscheint.

8.2 Grundsätzliche Bedienung des Menüs
Um durch die Menüpunkte zu scrollen, mit einem Finger
nach unten oder nach oben streichen.
Um einen Menüpunkt auszuwählen, den Menüpunkt antip-
pen.
Um eine Menüebene zurückzugehen, das Symbol < links
oben im Touchdisplay antippen.
8.3 Menü „Einstellungen“ schließen
Um das Menü „Einstellungen“ zu schließen, das Symbol < im
Menü „Einstellungen“ antippen.

9. Zwingend erforderliche Einstellungen vornehmen
9.1 Sprache einstellen
In der Werkseinstellung ist als Anzeigesprache „Automatisch“
eingestellt, d.h. die in der Rufanlage (SystemOrganizer) einge-
stellte Systemsprache wird verwendet. Bei Bedarf können Sie
für dieses Gerät eine andere Anzeigesprache einstellen:
1. „Sprache“ im Menü „Einstellungen“ antippen.
2. „Automatisch“ antippen, so dass es auf „Off“ gestellt wird.
3. Die gewünschte Sprache antippen.
4. Durch Tippen auf <zum Hauptmenü zurückkehren.
9. Making the mandatory settings
9.1 Setting the user language
In the factory setting, the display language is set to “Automatic”,
i.e. the system language set in the nurse call system (SystemOr-
ganizer) is used. If required, you can set a different display lan-
guage for this device.
1. Tap “Language” in the “Settings” menu.
2. Tap “Automatic” so that it is set to “Off”.
3. Tap the desired language.
4. Return to the main menu by tapping <.
9.2 Raumtyp einstellen
1. „Raumtyp“ im Menü „Einstellungen“ antippen.
2. Den korrekten Raumtyp antippen:
„Patientenzimmer“
„Dienstzimmer“ (Rufe bei eingeschalteter Anwesenheit wer-
den nicht mit erhöhter Priorität signalisiert. Diese Einstel-
lung wird nur in Dienstzimmern von Systemen mit
ManagementCenter empfohlen.)
„Kinderzimmer“ (Mithörsperre dauerhaft AUS)
3. Durch Tippen auf <zum Hauptmenü zurückkehren.
9.2 Selecting the room type
1. Tap “Room Type” in the “Settings” menu.
2. Tap the correct room type:
“Patient room”
“Staff room” (Calls with presence switched on are not sig-
nalled with higher priority. This setting is only recommended
in staff rooms of systems with ManagementCenter.)
“Children’s room” (Privacy always OFF)
3. Return to the main menu by tapping <.
9.3 RAN-Anzahl einstellen (0 – 30)
RAN-Anzahl = Anzahl Zimmergeräte (Taster, Steckvorrichtun-
gen, Zimmerleuchten etc.), die über RAN angeschlossen sind
(Keine mit Stecker angeschlossenen Geräte wie z.B. Birntaster).
1. „RAN“ im Menü „Einstellungen“ antippen.
2. „RAN-Anzahl“ antippen.
3. In dem Eingabefeld die RAN-Anzahl eingeben.
4. Durch Tippen auf <zum Hauptmenü zurückkehren.
9.3 Setting of RAN number (0 – 30)
RAN number = Number of devices in the room (switches, con-
nection sockets, room lamps, etc.) that are connected via RAN.
(No plug-in connected devices, e.g. pear push switches).
1. Tap “RAN” in the “Settings” menu.
2. Tap “RAN number”.
3. Enter the RAN number in the input field.
4. Return to the main menu by tapping <.
9.4 Netzwerk
1. „Netzwerk“ im Menü „Einstellungen“ antippen.
Das Fenster „Netzwerk“ erscheint. Die aktuelle Netzwerk-
konfiguration des ComTerminalsIP wird angezeigt.

so dass es weiß hinterlegt ist, und anschließend die Netzwerk-
konfiguration einstellen.

9.4 Network
1. Tap “Network” in the “Settings” menu.
The “Network” window appears. The current network con-
figuration of the ComTerminalIP is displayed.
For normal operation, the ComTerminalIP must be set to DHCP,
i.e. “DHCP” must be highlighted in white.
NOTE! In case of service it may be necessary to set the network
configuration manually. To do this, tap “Manual” so that it is
highlighted in white and then set the network configuration.

9.5 Erweiterungsmodus

2. Change to “On” by tapping on “Off” next to “Extension
mode” and vice versa.

10.1.1 Presence 1 button

visible on the ComTerminalIP. Presence 1 cannot be
switched on the ComTerminalIP. To comply with the German
standard DIN VDE 0834, a separate presence switch must be
installed instead and be easily accessible.

„Off“ = WC-Rufe und WC-Notrufe müssen durch eine graue
WC-Abstelltaste abgestellt werden (= Werkseinstellung). Die
Werkseinstellung entspricht den Anforderungen der Norm
DIN VDE 0834.
„On“ = WC-Rufe und WC-Notrufe können durch eine graue
WC-Abstelltaste oder durch das Ausschalten der Anwesen-
heit am ComTerminalIP abgestellt werden. Diese Einstellung
ist gemäß der Norm DIN VDE 0834 nur erlaubt, wenn der
Rufort vom ComTerminalIP aus einsehbar ist, z.B. in einem
Stationsbad ohne Kabinen.
10.1.3 Presence cancels WC
“Off” = WC calls and WC emergency calls must be cancelled
with a grey WC cancel button (= factory setting). The factory
setting complies with the requirements of the German
standard DIN VDE 0834.
“On” = WC calls and WC emergency calls can be cancelled
with a grey WC cancel button or by switching off the pres-
ence at the ComTerminalIP. According to the German stand-
ard DIN VDE 0834, this setting is only permitted if the call
location can be seen from the ComTerminalIP, e.g. in a ward
bathroom without cubicles.
10.1.4 Alarmtaste
HINWEIS! Die Alarmtaste am ComTerminalIP ist nur sichtbar und
aktiv, wenn Anwesenheit eingeschaltet ist.
„Kurz drücken“ = Ein Alarm wird durch kurzes Drücken der
blauen Alarmtaste ausgelöst (= Werkseinstellung). Die
Werkseinstellung entspricht den Anforderungen der Norm
DIN VDE 0834.
„2 Sekunden“ = Ein Alarm wird ausgelöst, wenn die blaue
Alarmtaste 2 Sekunden gedrückt wurde. Diese Einstellung

“Press briefly” = A cardiac alarm is triggered by briefly press-
ing the blue alarm button (= factory setting).
“2 seconds” = A cardiac alarm is triggered when the blue
alarm button has been pressed and hold for 2 seconds. This
setting deviates from the requirements of the German
standard DIN VDE 0834.
“3 seconds” = A cardiac alarm is triggered when the blue
alarm button has been pressed and hold for 3 seconds. This
setting deviates from the requirements of the German
standard DIN VDE 0834.
“Off” = The blue alarm button on the ComTerminalIP is disa-
bled. No cardiac alarm can be triggered on the ComTermi-
nalIP.
11. Hinweis zum Bildschirmschoner
Im Standby-Zustand zeigt das Display die Systemzeit an. Wenn
2 Minuten keine Taste betätigt wurde, schaltet das Display dun-
kel.
Zum Reaktivieren des Displays auf eine beliebige Taste oder

12. Zimmerbus RAN prüfen
12.1 RAN-Status prüfen
Prüfung, ob die eingestellte RAN-Anzahl (siehe Abschnitt
„9.3 RAN-Anzahl einstellen“) mit der Anzahl funktionsbereiter
Zimmergeräte übereinstimmt.
1. „RAN“ im Menü „Einstellungen“ antippen.
Unter der Überschrift „RAN-Status“ wird der Status ange-
zeigt:
„OK! Aktive Geräte = RAN-Anzahl“: Die eingestellte Anzahl
stimmt mit der Anzahl funktionsbereiter Geräte am Zimmer-
bus überein.
„FEHLER! Aktive Geräte > RAN-Anzahl“: Mehr funktionsbe-
reite Geräte am Zimmerbus erkannt als eingestellt sind.
„FEHLER! Aktive Geräte < RAN-Anzahl“: Weniger funktions-
bereite Geräte am Zimmerbus erkannt als eingestellt sind.
Wenn ein FEHLER angezeigt wurde, Test wie folgt durchführen:

12. Testing the room bus RAN
12.1 Testing the RAN status
Check whether the set RAN number (refer to section “9.3 Setting
of RAN number”) equals to the number of operational room de-
vices.
1. Tap “RAN” in the “Settings” menu.
The status is displayed under the heading “RAN status”:
“OK! Active devices = RAN number” = The set RAN number
matches the number of operational devices on the room
bus.
“ERROR! Active devices > RAN number” = More operational
devices recognized on the room bus than have been set.
“ERROR! Active devices < RAN number” = Less operational
devices recognized on the room bus than have been set.
If an ERROR has been displayed, perform the test as follows:
12.2 Performing a RAN test
Test whether all devices on the RAN have been connected cor-
rectly and are ready for operation:
1. Tap “RAN” in the “Settings” menu.
2. Tap on “RAN test”.
The RAN test starts. During the RAN test “On” is displayed
beside the word “RAN Test”.
The LEDs of all devices on the room bus must flash. Devices
not flashing have been connected incorrectly or are defec-
tive.
Replace defective devices.
Connect devices correctly that have not been connected
correctly.
3. To end the RAN test, tap “RAN test” again.
The RAN test is ended. “Off” is displayed beside “RAN Test”.

1. Utilisation prévue

as soon as a call is triggered.

4. Montage du panneau arrière (figure B)
Montage mural sur boîte d'encastrement 2 places.*)
Préparation : idéalement, introduire le câble Ethernet par le bas
dans la boîte d'encastrement et utiliser un module Keystone
avec une prise RJ45 pour la connexion. Cette prise RJ45 doit être
raccordée à la prise RJ45 sur le champ de connexion du ComTer-
minalIP via le câble patch court [12]. Le module Keystone n'est
pas compris dans la livraison du ComTerminalIP.
1. Insérer un connecteur du câble patch court [12] dans la prise
RJ45 du module Keystone. Préparer les fils des autres câbles
(voir paragraphe « 7. Raccordement au champ de
connexion »).
2. Faire passer le câble patch court [12] et les fils préparés par
l'ouverture dans le panneau arrière du terminal [10].
3. Visser le panneau arrière [10] sur la boîte d'encastrement [8]
à l'aide des vis [11] de la boîte d'encastrement.
4. Raccorder les fils au champ de connexion du panneau ar-
rière [10] conformément au paragraphe « 7. Raccordement
au champ de connexion ».
5. Insérer le deuxième connecteur du câble patch [12] dans la
prise RJ45 sur le champ de connexion.
*) REMARQUE ! Si le montage sur une boîte d'encastrement
s'avère impossible, le ComTerminal peut être fixé au mur avec
des vis et des chevilles et le vissage s'effectuera par les mêmes

4. Mounting the pattress (fig. B)
Wall mounting on two-gang back box.*)
Preparation: Ideally, insert the Ethernet cable into the back box
from below and use a Keystone module with RJ45 jack for the
connection. The RJ45 jack must be connected to the RJ45 socket
on the connection field of the ComTerminalIP via the short patch
cable [12]. The keystone module is not included in the scope of
delivery of the ComTerminalIP.
1. Insert one plug of the short patch cable [12] into the RJ45
jack of the Keystone module. Prepare the wires of the other
cables (see section “7. Connecting to the connection field”).
2. Feed the short patch cable [12] and the prepared wires
through outlet in the pattress [10].
3. Fix the pattress [10] using the back box screws [11] to the
back box [8].
4. Connect the connection wires to the connection field in the
pattress [10] according to section “7. Connecting to the con-
nection field”.
5. Insert the second plug of the patch cable [12] into the RJ45
socket on the connection field.
*) NOTE! If mounting on a back box is not possible, the ComTer-
minalIP may be fixed to the wall with dowels and screws using
the same holes in the pattress.

6. Démontage (figure D)
1. Si une vis de blocage [16] est vissée dans la partie inférieure
du ComTerminal, la desserrer.
ATTENTION verre – fragile ! Le panneau frontal du
terminal [14] est fixé uniquement à l'aide de l'ergot
d'arrêt [15].
2. A l'aide d'un tournevis plat, appuyer avec précaution sur l'er-
got d'arrêt [15] vers le haut jusqu'à ce que le panneau fron-
tale du terminal [14] se détache.
3. Retirer le panneau frontal du terminal [14] par le bas.
4. Poser le panneau frontal du terminal [14] de manière à ce
qu'il soit protégé.

1. If a security screw [16] is fitted into the base of the ComTer-
minalIP remove it.

Remarques importantes pour le bus de chambre !
Le câble pour la transmission phonique, c'est-à-dire avec
les fils « MIC », « LS » et « SCHB-B », doit être dénudé sur
30 mm maximum afin de conserver la fonction de blin-
dage. Le fil de blindage doit être raccordé au point de rac-
cordement « SCH-B ».

Important instructions for connection of the room bus!
The cable for speech transmission, i.e. the cable contain-
ing the wires “MIC”, “LS”, and “SCH-B”, may be stripped
for a max. of 30 mm only, to ensure the protective screen
function. The shield wire must be connected to the con-
nection point “SCH-B”.
The cable shield and the shield wire of the cable contain-
ing the wires “RAN”, “+24V-Si” and “0V” are not connect-
ed and must be removed in the back box up to the cable
sheath.
The unused wires must not be interconnected.
Unused screws must be screwed in.

8. Utiliser le menu « Paramètres »
Le ComTerminalIP doit être configuré dans le menu

9. Effectuer les paramètres obligatoires

9.1 Setting the user language
In the factory setting, the display language is set to “Automatic”,
i.e. the system language set in the nurse call system (SystemOr-
ganizer) is used. If required, you can set a different display lan-
guage for this device.

(No plug-in connected devices, e.g. pear push switches).

3. Enter the RAN number in the input field.
4. Return to the main menu by tapping <.
9.4 Réseau

9.4 Network
1. Tap “Network” in the “Settings” menu.
The “Network” window appears. The current network con-
figuration of the ComTerminalIP is displayed.
For normal operation, the ComTerminalIP must be set to DHCP,
i.e. “DHCP” must be highlighted in white.
NOTE! In case of service it may be necessary to set the network
configuration manually. To do this, tap “Manual” so that it is
highlighted in white and then set the network configuration.
2. Return to the main menu by tapping <.
9.5 Mode étendu
Le mode étendu doit être actif si le ComTerminalIP est couplé à
un système CareCom optionnel. Dans tous les autres cas, le
mode étendu doit être inactif.

coupled with an optional CareCom system. In all other cases, the
extended mode must be disabled.

2. Change to “On” by tapping on “Off” next to “Extension
mode” and vice versa.
“Off” = Extension mode inactive (= factory setting).
“On” = Extension mode active.

10.1.1 Touche présence 1

soit visible sur ComTerminalIP. La présence 1 ne peut pas
être activée/déactivée sur le ComTerminalIP. Pour satisfaire
à la norme allemande DIN VDE 0834, il faut installer à la
place un bloc de présence séparé bien accessible.
10.1.1 Presence 1 button
Green presence button on ComTerminalIP for staff 1:
“On” = Button is enabled (= factory setting).
“Off” = Button is without function, although a green circle is
visible on the ComTerminalIP. Presence 1 cannot be
switched on the ComTerminalIP. To comply with the German
standard DIN VDE 0834, a separate presence switch must be
installed instead and be easily accessible.
10.1.2 Touche présence 2
Touche de présence jaune sur ComTerminalIP pour le personnel 2 :
« On » = La touche est active (= réglage d'usine)
« Off » = La touche est sans fonction, bien qu'un cercle

Yellow presence button on ComTerminalIP for staff 2:

10.1.3 Présence arrête WC
« Off » = Les appels WC et les appels urgents WC doivent
être arrêtés par un bouton d'arrêt WC gris (= réglage
d'usine). Le réglage d'usine correspond aux exigences de la
norme allemande DIN VDE 0834.
« On » = Les appels WC et les appels urgents WC peuvent
être arrêtés par un bouton d'arrêt WC gris ou par la désacti-
vation de la présence sur ComTerminalIP. Ce réglage n'est
autorisé selon la norme allemande DIN VDE 0834 que si le
lieu d'appel est visible depuis ComTerminalIP, p. ex. dans une
salle de bain de service sans cabines.
10.1.3 Presence cancels WC
“Off” = WC calls and WC emergency calls must be cancelled
with a grey WC cancel button (= factory setting). The factory
setting complies with the requirements of the German
standard DIN VDE 0834.
“On” = WC calls and WC emergency calls can be cancelled
with a grey WC cancel button or by switching off the pres-
ence at the ComTerminalIP. According to the German stand-
ard DIN VDE 0834, this setting is only permitted if the call
location can be seen from the ComTerminalIP, e.g. in a ward
bathroom without cubicles.
10.1.4 Touche d'alarme
REMARQUE ! Le bouton d'alarme sur ComTerminalIP n'est vi-
sible et actif que si la présence est activée.
« Appuyer brièvement » = Une alarme est déclenchée en ap-
puyant brièvement sur la touche d'alarme bleue (= réglage
d'usine). Le réglage d'usine correspond aux exigences de la
norme allemande DIN VDE 0834.
« 2 secondes » = Une alarme est déclenchée lorsque la

10.1.5 Alarm button
NOTE! The alarm button on the ComTerminalIP is only visible
and active while presence is switched on.
“Press briefly” = A cardiac alarm is triggered by briefly press-
ing the blue alarm button (= factory setting).
“2 seconds” = A cardiac alarm is triggered when the blue
alarm button has been pressed and hold for 2 seconds. This
setting deviates from the requirements of the German
standard DIN VDE 0834.
“3 seconds” = A cardiac alarm is triggered when the blue
alarm button has been pressed and hold for 3 seconds. This
setting deviates from the requirements of the German
standard DIN VDE 0834.
“Off” = The blue alarm button on the ComTerminalIP is disa-
bled. No cardiac alarm can be triggered on the ComTermi-
nalIP.
11. Remarque sur l'écran de veille
En mode veille, l'écran affiche l'heure du système. Si aucune
touche n'a été appuyée pendant 2 minutes, l'écran s'assombrit.
Pour réactiver l'écran, appuyer sur n'importe quelle touche
ou sur l'écran.

12. Contrôler bus de chambre RAN
12.1 Vérifier l'état du RAN
Cela permet de contrôler si le nombre RAN réglé ( voir section
« 9.3 Régler le nombre RAN » ) correspond bien au nombre
d'appareils de chambre effectivement opérationnels.
1. Appuyer sur « RAN » dans le menu « Paramètres ».
L'état RAN est affiché sous le titre « État RAN » :
« OK ! Dispositifs actifs = Nombre RAN » : Le nombre RAN ré-
glé est identique à celui des appareils de chambre opéra-
tionnels.
« ERREUR ! Dispositifs actifs > Nombre RAN » : Plus d'appa-
reils opérationnels détectés sur le bus de chambre que ceux
réglés.
« ERREUR ! Dispositifs actifs < Nombre RAN » : Moins d'ap-
pareils opérationnels détectés sur le bus de chambre que
ceux réglés.
Si une ERREUR s'est affichée, effectuer le test comme suit :
12.2 Effectuer un test RAN
Test permettant de contrôler si les appareils de chambre sont
opérationnels et correctement raccordés au RAN.
1. Appuyer sur « RAN » dans le menu « Paramètres ».
2. Appuyer sur « RAN-Test » .
Le test RAN démarre. Pendant le test RAN, « On » s'affiche à
côté du mot « Test RAN ».
Les LED de tous les appareils sur le bus de chambre doivent
clignoter. Les appareils qui ne clignotent pas sont mal rac-
cordés ou défectueux.
Remplacer les appareils défectueux.
Brancher correctement les appareils mal raccordés.
3. Pour terminer le test RAN, appuyer à nouveau sur « Test
RAN »
Le test RAN est terminé. « Off » s'affiche à côté du mot « Test
RAN ».
12. Testing the room bus RAN
12.1 Testing the RAN status
Check whether the set RAN number (refer to section
“9.3 Setting of RAN number”) equals to the number of opera-
tional room devices.
1. Tap “RAN” in the “Settings” menu.
The status is displayed under the heading “RAN status”:
“OK! Active devices = RAN number” = The set RAN number
matches the number of operational devices on the room
bus.
“ERROR! Active devices > RAN number” = More operational
devices recognized on the room bus than have been set.
“ERROR! Active devices < RAN number” = Less operational
devices recognized on the room bus than have been set.
If an ERROR has been displayed, perform the test as follows:
12.2 Performing a RAN test
Test whether all devices on the RAN have been connected cor-
rectly and are ready for operation:
1. Tap “RAN” in the “Settings” menu.
2. Tap on “RAN test”.
The RAN test starts. During the RAN test “On” is displayed
beside the word “RAN Test”.
The LEDs of all devices on the room bus must flash. Devices
not flashing have been connected incorrectly or are defec-
tive.
Replace defective devices.
Connect devices correctly that have not been connected
correctly.
3. To end the RAN test, tap “RAN test” again.
The RAN test is ended. “Off” is displayed beside “RAN Test”.
12.2.1 Dispositifs inactifs
En cas d'état RAN « ERREUR ! Dispositifs actifs < Nombre RAN »,
vous pouvez afficher les dispositifs inactifs. Pour ce faire, ap-
puyer sur « État RAN ».
