THE RETROFIT ASSEMBLY IS ACCEPTED AS A COMPONENT OF A FLUORESCENT
LUMINAIRE WHERE THE SUITABILITY OF THE COMBINATION SHALL BE DETERMINED
BY CSA OR AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION.
WARNING
•Risk of re or electric shock. LED Retrot Kit installation requires knowledge of luminaires
electrical systems. If not qualied, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualied electrician.
•Risk of re or electric shock. Install this kit only in the luminaires that have the
construction features and dimensions show in the photographs and/or drawings.
•To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or
other sharp objects.
CAUTION
•Disconnect power at the source before installation. Do not simply switch o xture.
•This item is rated at 120-277V. Installer must determine whether they have 120-277V at
the luminaire before installation.
•This device is not intended for use with emergency exits.
•Do not use with luminaire ballast.
•Do not use with dimmers.
•Do not use if product is damaged.
•Use with supplied non-shunted lamp holders only.
•Connect hot wire only to end cap with theTurolight logo driver side. Opposite end cap
requires no wiring.
•To avoid potential re or shock hazard, do not use this retrot kit in luminaires employing
shunted bi-pin lamp holders.
Note: Non-Shunted Lamp Holder Supplied with LED T8 Luminaire. Shunted lamp
holders are found only in uorescent luminaires with Instant-Start ballasts. Instant -start
ballasts can be identied by the words“Instant Start”or“I.S.”marked on the ballast. This
designation may be in the form of a statement pertaining to the ballast itself, or may be
combined with the marking for the lamps with which the ballast is intended to be used.

•“This luminaire has been modified and can no longer operate the originally intended
lamp,”shall be marked on the retrot luminaire where readily visible by the user during
normal maintenance including relamping (sticker supplied).
•Risk of re or electric shock. Do not modify the circuitry or any electrical components of tube.
•Installers should not disconnect existing wires from lampholder terminals to make new
connections at lampholder terminals. Instead installers should cut existing lampholder
leads away from the lampholder and make new electrical connections to lampholder
lead wires by employing applicable connectors.
•Suitable for damp location.
•Suitable for“Type IC”or“Type Non-IC”luminaires. No external weight or mechanical force
on tube or components.
•Beware of electric shock when installing tube.
•Dispose of uorescent lamps and ballst according to local/provincal/federal regulations.
•Contact your localTurolight Distributor if you have any questions about the installation of this lamp.

1. Read all WARNING/CAUTIONS before continuing this section.
2. Ensure xture is 120-277V.
3. Disconnect power at the source.
4. Remove lens if applicable, remove cover and uorescent tubes.
5. Cut all wires that connect ballast. Properly discard ballast or cap o wires.
6. Replace lamp holders at power end with supplied non-shunted lamp holders.
7. Connect hot wire from power source into supplied non-shunted Lamp Holder
“Hot In”.
8. Connect neutral wire from power source into supplied non-shunted Lamp
Holder“Neutral In”.
9. If installing multiple lamps, continue reading. Otherwise skip to section 14.
10. Connect separate hot wire into“Hot Out”from primary source lamp holder
and connect that wire into“Hot In”on the adjacent tube.
11. Connect separate neutral wire into“Neutral Out”from primary source lamp
holder and connect that wire into“Neutral In”on the adjacent tube.
12. Continue this process for additional lamps.
13. Do not wire opposite end of lamp holder.
14. Install lamp with the Turolight logo (driver side) into the wired end.
15. Visibly ax“Modication Sticker”and reinstall housing cover and lens if
applicable.
16. Return power back to source and installation is now completed.
