The BPM is a compact, handheld, battery powered entry-level purge
monitor and comes in a protective carry case.

4.0 Using the Filter
The BPM is supplied with 2 x lters for use with the sampling tube.
NB: Always use the lter! When the lter becomes blocked or dirty,
replace the lter!
4.1 Connecting the Filter to the Sampling Tube
To connect the lter to the sampling tube, attach the short end of the lter
tube to the black connection area via the blue press-connections on the
sampling tube.

4.2 Connecting the Sampling Tube to the BPM
To connect the sampling tube to the BPM, slot the lter tube into the blue
press-connection.

4.3 Removing the Filter or Sampling Tube
To remove either the sampling tube from the BPM or the lter connection
from the sampling tube, depress the blue press-connection and gently
remove.
Spare lters are available to purchase from TVC, please contact us for
further details.
5.0 Zeroing the BPM
The BPM should be Zeroed periodically. It is recommended that zeroing
is carried out every day before use and throughout the day depending on
the amount of usage. Changes in humidity, temperature and atmospheric
pressure can impact the accuracy of unit and hence a new Zero should
be performed if the operating environment changes (as shown below).
Insert the sampling tube in a hose connected to bottle of pure argon.
Ensure the sampling tube does not block the gas hose, but is placed as
shown on below.

Press and release the button to start the switch PPM on.
Press and hold the button for three seconds until 'Zero Reset' is shown.
Release the button.
Start the purge gas running at 5 - 10 LPM.
Purge the pure argon through the hose and allow the BPM to reach a
stable reading (approx. 2-3 mins.)
Press button for three seconds until 'Zero Save' screen is shown. Release
the button.
The BPM is now Zeroed for use.

6.0 Battery Charging
The battery charging port can be found on the right-hand side of the unit.
Connect the charger to the BPM and plug into the mains supply using the
charger supplied by TVC.
7.0 Calibration
All BPM units are supplied with valid and traceable calibration certication.
TVC recommend that the BPM unit is returned to TVC or a TVC-approved
distributor for recalibration and service at least once every 12 months.
8.0 Disposal
To meet our obligations under the WEEE directive, we have
a collection point for the recycling of this product once it has
reached the end of its normal working life. In these
circumstances, please contact us for further instructions.
