QLN320 BATTERY
REMOVING THE BATTERY
1. Rotate the belt clip out of the way of the battery.
(See Figure 1)
2. Squeeze clip on battery pack and remove.
(See Figure 2)
INSTALLING THE BATTERY
1. Push battery back into port on back of printer,
making sure clip is aligned properly. (See Figure 3)

CHARGING WITH THE AC POWER ADAPTER
NOTE: Batteries are shipped uncharged. Allow
batteries to charge completely prior to initial
use.
1. Open the protective cover on the printer to expose
the DC input charger jack. (See Figure 5)
2. Connect the appropriate AC power cord for your
geography to the adapter and then plug the power
cord into an AC receptacle. (See Figure 5)
NOTE: It is possible to charge the battery when
using the printer, however, charge time will
increase under this condition.
NOTE: Battery charger and USB PC cord sold
separately.
3. Plug the barrel plug from the AC adapter into the
charger jack on the printer. (See Figure 5)
4. The printer will power up and begin charging. The
printer can be left on or turned off at this point.
Charging will continue in either state, and the
status of which will be monitored by the LED charge
indicator on the front of the printer.
CHARGING THE BATTERY WITH A SMART CHARGER
1. Plug the SC2 charger into the AC outlet.
2. Insert the smart battery pack in the SC2 charger.
(See Figure 4)
3. The LED on the front of the charger will indicate the
battery pack's charge status. (See Figure 4)
NOTE: Green indicates fully charged, yellow
indicates charging, and amber indicates
a fault. When the SC2 is plugged in but no
battery is present, the Charge Status LED
indicator will be green.
4. A second LED will indicate the health of the battery
pack. (See Figure 4)
NOTE: Green indicates good, yellow indicates
capacity diminished, yellow flashing indicates
past useful life, and amber indicates unusable.
If the LED is off, there is either no battery or
power present.

CABLE CONNECTIONS
CONNECT THE PRINTER WITH A CABLE
It is possible to connect the printer to a terminal or a
PC using either RS232C or USB protocols. USB drivers are
included in the Zebra Designer Driver which is available
on the QLn Series product CD or can be downloaded
from the Zebra web site at www.zebra.com/software.

CLEANING THE PRINTER
CAUTION: To avoid possible personal injury or
damage to the printer never insert sharp or
pointed objects into the printer mechanism.
AREA CLEANING METHOD INTERVAL
Printhead Use the supplied cleaning pen to clean the print elements from end to
end.
After every five rolls of media, or
more often, if needed. Linerless
media requires more frequent
cleaning.
Platen Surface Rotate the platen roller and clean it thoroughly with the cleaning pen.
Linerless Platen Surface Units with linerless platens: rotate platen and clean bearing points only.
Avoid use of alcohol on the surface of the linerless platens.
Peeler Bar Clean thoroughly with the cleaning pen. As needed.
Scraper (Linerless units only) Clean thoroughly with the cleaning pen. After every five rolls of media, or
more often, if needed.

QUITAR LA BATERÍA
1. Gire la pinza para cinturón de forma que no esté en
el camino de la batería. (Vea Diagrama 1)
2. Apriete la pinza del paquete de batería y sáquela.

INSTALAR LA BATERÍA
1. Empuje la batería de nuevo hacia el puerto
ubicado en la parte posterior de la impresora,

CARGUE CON EL ADAPTADOR DE CORRIENTE ALTERNA
NOTA: Las baterías se envían descargadas.
Permita que las baterías se carguen
completamente antes de usarlas por primera vez.
1. Abra la cubierta protectora de la impresora para
dejar a la vista el enchufe hembra del cargador de
Corriente Directa. (Vea Diagrama 5)
2. Conecte el cordón eléctrico de CA correspondiente
su ubicación geográfica al adaptador y luego
enchufe el cordón eléctrico a un receptáculo de
CA. (Vea Diagrama 5)
NOTA: Puede cargar la batería cuando utilice
la impresora, sin embargo, el tiempo de carga
aumentará bajo esta condición.
NOTA: El cargador de la batería y el cordón de
USB de la PC se venden por separado.
3. Enchufe el enchufe de tambor del adaptador
de CA al enchufe hembra del cargador de la
impresora. (Vea Diagrama 5)
4. La impresora se encenderá y comenzará a
cargarse. En este momento, puede dejar la
impresora encendida o apagarla. La carga
continuará en ambos casos y podrá comprobar
el estado de la misma a través del indicador LED
de carga ubicado en la parte delantera de la
impresora.
CARGUE LA BATERÍA CON UN CARGADOR INTELIGENTE
1. Enchufe el cargador SC2 a un tomacorriente CA.
2. Inserte el paquete de batería inteligente en el
cargador SC2. (Vea Diagrama 4)
3. La luz de LED ubicada en la parte delantera del
cargador indicará el estado de la carga del
paquete de batería. (Vea Diagrama 4)
NOTA: Verde indica que está completamente
cargada, amarillo indica que se está
cargando y el ámbar indica un fallo. Cuando
el SC2 esté enchufado pero no tenga una
batería insertada, el indicador de LED de
estado de carga estará en verde.
4. Una segunda luz LED indicará el estado de salud
del paquete de batería. (Vea Diagrama 4)
NOTA: Verde indica buena, amarillo indica
que la capacidad ha disminuido, el amarillo
intermitente indica que la vida útil ya se ha
consumido y el ámbar indica que no se puede
usar. Si la luz LED está apagada, puede que
no haya batería o que no haya corriente.

Cabezal de Impresión Use el bolígrafo de limpieza que se suministra para limpiar los
