4Gettingstarted
★Chargingyourbattery
Thebatteryusedinthephoneisrechargeable.Newbatterymustbefullychargedbefore
itisusedforthefirsttime.Onlyafterseveraltimesofcharginganddischargingcanthe
battery’sefficiencymadethebestof.
Toensurethebatteryinoptimalstate,werecommendyoudischargethebatteryfullyat
leastonceeverymonthbyconsumingthepoweruntilthephoneisswitchedoff
automatically.
Duringthecourseofcharging,itisnormaltofindthebatteryandthephoneslightly
heat‐up.Thephonewillautomaticallyprotectitselfwhenbatterytemperaturerisesso
astocontroltemperaturevariation.
Thehandsetwillgiveoffalertasthebatteryisrunningout.Whenthepowerhasrun
outthehandsetwillbeswitchedoffautomatically.
Note:Actualtimeofusageofthebatteryvariesaccordingtodifferentoperationmodes
andsettingsofnetworkbasestation.Ifyouusethephonewhenbatteryisratherlow,
thephonemayswitchoffautomatically.Pleaserechargeintime.

Connectthechargertoamainsocket,andinsertthechargingplugintotheUSBofthe
phone.

fromrighttoleft.
Youmaychoosetochargethebatteryunderpower‐offorstandbystate.
Whenthebatteryisfullycharged,chargingoperationstopsautomatically.Thebattery
symbolonthescreenwillmaintainfull‐grid.Atthistimepleaseunplugthecharging
plug.

5Basicoperations
★Switchingon
Pressingandholdingthe‘poweron/off’keyinthestandbystatemayswitchonthe
phone.Itwillautomaticallysearchthenetworkifthephonehasnopasswordprotection.
Yourphoneremainsinasearchingstateifitfailstofindtheavailablenetworksystem.
Ifapasswordforthephoneisrequiredafteritisswitchedon,pleaseinputthecorrect
one
★Switchingoff
Toswitchoffthephone,pleasepressandholdthe‘on/off’keyfor3secondsandmorein
thestandbystate.
Note:Ifyouswitchoffthephonedirectlybytakingoffthebattery,someinformationto
bestoredinthephonemaypossiblygetlost,whichmaycauseinconvenience.
★Makingacall
Understandbystate,inputnumberdirectlyviathekeypad.Thenpressthe‘Calling’key
tomakethecall.
★Adjustingthevolumeofearpiece
Duringaconversation,youmaypresstheupanddown‐directionkeytoadjustthe
volumeofearpiece.
★Answeringacall
Whenacallisincoming,thephonewillpromptyouaccordingtotheincomingcall
promptmodeyouhaveset.Toansweracall,pressthe‘Callcontrol’keytoanswerthe
calldirectlyoranykey(If‘AnyKeyAnswer’isseton)toanswer.Torejectacall,pressthe
‘on/off ’keyandtheotherpartywillhearabusytone.

Underthestandbystate,pressthemiddleofthenavigationkeytoaccessthemain
menuofthephone.Underthemainmenuinterface,pressanykeytoaccessthe
corresponding‘Menuoptionlist’.
Themainmenuhavetotal12options,allmenusofthephonehavethefunctionoftext
promptforcorrespondingfunction.Eachsetofmenuisfurtherdividedintomulti‐item
sub‐menu.Menufunctionsmayletyouset,checkorchangethephone’svarious
functionalsettingstomeetyourpersonalrequirements.Pleaserefertothefollowing
‘Menuoptionlist’forselectionofthefunctionsyourequire.
Pressthedirectionkeystoselectfromthemenu.PressOKkeyorleftsoftkeytoconfirm
ortoenterthesub‐menulistoftheselectedmenu.Thenpressupanddown‐direction

Pressthe“Back”keytoreturntohigher‐levelmenu.Pressthe‘on/off’keytoexitthe
menudirectlyandreturntothestandbyscreen.
Ineditingstate,the“Back”keyhasdeletingfunction.Pressitoncetodeleteone
characterandholdittodeletealltheinputcharacters.

Amessageissenttothemessagescenterofthenetwork,thentothetargeteduserby
thenetwork.Ifthetargeteduser’sphoneisofforoutofnetworkarea,thenetworkwill
storethemessagetemporarily.
Whenthephonereceivesanewtextmessage,youwillbepromptedaccordingtosetting
andtheUnreadMessagesiconwillappearatthetopofthemainscreentoindicate
unreadtextmessage.

Iftherearemissedcalls,youcanviewthedetailedinformationofthemissedcallsinthe
‘missedcalls’menu.Eachrecordcontainsthenumber(andthecontactnameifnumber
isalreadyinthephonebook),date,timeetc.Presstheupanddown‐navigationkeyto
viewtheinformationofothermissedcalls.Pressthe‘Callcontrol’keytodialthe
selectednumberandpresstherightsoftkeytoreturntohigher‐levelmenu.Missedcalls
aredividedintothefollowingtwosituations:
1.Ifthenumberisnotstoredinthephone,thephonenumberwillbe
displayedinthemissedcalllist.Selectthenumberandpresstheleft
soft/menukeytoaccessthesub‐menuofthismissedcall,whichhasthe
following5items:
