BEFORE LIGHTING
Inspectthegassupplyhosespriortoturning onthegas.Ifthereisevidenceofcuts, wear, orabrasion,it must
bereplaced priortouse.
Onlythepressureregulatorandhoseassemblysuppliedwiththeunitshouldbeused.Neversubstitute
regulatorsforthosesuppliedwiththegrill.Contactcustomerserviceforproperreplacement.
Screwthe regulator(typeQCC1)ontothe cylinder. Leakcheck the hoseandregulatorconnectionswithasoap
and watersolutionbeforeoperatingthegrill (See “LeakTesting”instructionson page16).
Donotturnonthe gasattheLPgascylinderunlessthegashoseisproperlyconnected totheside burnergas
pipesystemand allburnervalvesareinthe “OFF”position.
Keepaspraybottleofsoapywaternearthe grillandcheck the connectionsbeforeeachuse.
WARNING
Donotleavethegrill unattendedwhilecooking.

Failuretoproperlyplacethe burneroverthe orifice

When properlycaredfor,yourgrillwillprovide safe,reliableserviceformanyyears. However, extremecare
mustbe used asthe grillproducesintenseheatthatcanincreaseaccidentpotential.
When usingthisappliancebasicsafetypracticesmustbefollowed, includingthefollowing:
Donotrepairorreplaceanypart ofthe grill unlessspecificallyrecommended inthismanual.Allotherservice
shouldbereferred toaqualified technician.
The grillisforoutdooruseonly.
The grillisnotintendedtobeinstalledinoron recreationalvehiclesand/orboats.
Childrenshouldnotbeleft alone orunattendedinanareawherethe grillisbeingused. Donotallowchildren
tosit,standorplayonoraround thegrillat anytime.
Donotstoreitemsofinteresttochildrenaroundorbelowthegrillorcart.Donot allowchildrentocrawlinside
the cart.
Neverletclothing, pot holdersorotherflammablematerialscomeincontactwithortoo closetoanygrate,
burnerorhotsurfaceuntilit hascooled.The fabriccouldignite, causingseriouspersonalinjury.
Forpersonalsafety,wearproperapparel.Loosefitting garmentsorsleevesshouldneverbewornwhileusing

Forproperlightingandperformanceofthe burners,keep theburnerportsclean. Itisnecessarytoclean them
periodicallyforoptimumperformance. The burnerswillonlyoperateinoneposition andmustbe mounted
correctlyforsafeoperation.
Exercisecautionwhencleaninggrill.Toavoidsteamburns,donotuseawetspongeorclothtoclean thegrill
whileitishot.Somecleanersproducenoxiousfumesorcan igniteifappliedtoahotsurface.
Neveruseadented orrustypropane cylinder.

Thisgrill isconfiguredforLiquidPropaneonly. DonotuseaNaturalGassupply.
Totalgasconsumption(perhour)withall burnersset on “HIGH”:

The installation ofthisappliancemustconformwithlocalcodesor,intheabsenceoflocalcodes, with

c)Makesurethe burnervalvesareinthe “OFF”position.
d)Inspectthevalveconnections,portand regulatorassembly.Removedebrisandinspectthe hose
fordamage.
e)Whenconnectingtheregulatorassemblytothe valve,useyourhand totighten the nutclockwise
until it stops. Useofawrenchcoulddamagethequickcouplingnutandresultinahazardous
situation.

3.Detachthe regulatorassemblyfromthecylindervalvebyturningthequickcoupling nut
counterclockwise.
4.Placedustcaponcylindervalveoutlet wheneverthe cylinderis notinuse.Onlyinstallthetype of
dustcapon the cylindervalveoutletthat isprovided withthecylindervalve. Othertypesofcapsor
plugsmayresultinleakageofpropane.
LEAKTESTING
GENERAL
Although gasconnectionsonthegrill areleaktestedpriortoshipment, acompleteleaktest must be
performedattheinstallationsite.Beforeeachuse,checkallgasconnectionsforleaksusing the
procedureslisted below.
If thesmell ofgasisdetectedatanytime,youshouldimmediatelychecktheentiresystemforleaks.
BEFORETESTING
Makesureallpackingmaterialshavebeen removed fromthegrill, includingtheburnertie-downstraps.
WARNING
Checkallgassupplyfittingsforleaksbeforeeachuse. Donot usethe grilluntilall connectionshavebeen
checkedanddonotleak. Donot smokewhileleaktesting. Neverleaktest withanopenflame.
Makeasolutionofonepart liquiddetergentandone partwater.Youwill need aspraybottle, brush,or
rag toapplythesolutiontothefittings.Fortheinitialleaktest,makesuretheLiquidPropaneCylinderis
80%full.
TOTEST
1.Turntheburnervalvesoff.
2.TurntheLiquidPropaneCylindervalvecounterclockwisetoopen the valve.
3.Apply the soapsolution toallgasfittings. Soap bubbleswillappearwherealeakispresent.
4.If aleakispresent, immediately turnthegassupply “OFF”andtightenleaky fittings.
5.Turnthegasback “ON”andrecheck.
6.Shouldthegascontinuetoleakfromanyof thefittings,turnthegassupply “OFF”andcontact
customerserviceat 1-866-206-0888
7.If thereisevidenceofexcessive abrasionorwear, orthehoseiscut, itmustbe replacedpriortothe
outdoorcookinggasappliancebeing put intooperation.
Pleasemakesurethe cylindervalveconnectiondevice
properlyandsafelymateswiththeconnectiondevice
attachedtotheinletofthepressureregulator.

GeneralUse of theGrill
Eachmainburnerisratedat12,000BTU/Hr. Themaingrillburnersencompass theentirecookingarea
and aresideported tominimizeblockagefromfallinggreaseanddebris.Abovetheburnersareflame
tamers. Theigniterknobsarelocatedon thecenterportionof thevalvepanel.Eachrotaryigniteris
labeled onthecontrolpanel.
UsingtheGrill
Grillingrequireshighheatforsearingandproperbrowning.Mostfoodsarecookedata “HIGH”heat
settingfortheirentirecookingtime.However,when grillinglargepiecesofmeat orpoultry,itmaybe
necessarytoturnthe heattoalowersetting aftertheinitialbrowning.Thismethodcooks the food
thoroughly without burningtheoutside.
Food cookedforalong timeorbasted withasugar-based marinademayneedalowerheatsetting near
the end ofitscooking time.
Tobegin:
1.Makesurethegrill hasbeenleaktestedand isproperlyplaced.(Seepage16.)
2.Removeanyremainingpackingmaterials.
3.Lightthe grillburnersusing the LightingInstructionsonnext page.
4.Turnthecontrolknob(s)tothe “IGNITE/ HIGH”setting, and preheatthegrill for15 minutes.The grill
lidshouldbe closedduring the pre-heat period.
5.Placethe food on the grill andcooktothedesireddegree ofpreparation.Ifnecessary,adjust theheat
setting. Thecontrolknob maybepositionedatanysetting between “HIGH”and “LOW”.
LIGHTINGINSTRUCTIONS
BeforeLighting
Inspectthegassupplyhosepriortoturningon the gas.Ifthereisevidenceofcuts,wear,orabrasion,it
must bereplacedpriortouse.
Screwtheregulator(typeQCC1)ontothecylinder,and leakcheckthehoseandregulatorconnections
beforeoperating thegrill(seethe “LeakTesting”instructionson page16).
Only thepressureregulatorandhoseassemblysuppliedwiththe unit shouldbeused.Neversubstitute
regulators.If areplacementisnecessary,contactcustomerserviceforproperreplacement.
WARNING

TOLIGHTTHEMAINBURNERS
1. Open lidduringlighting.
2. Makesureallthe knobsareinthe “OFF”position,and then turntheLiquidPropane Cylindervalve
“ON”byslowly turningcounterclockwise.
3. Pushand turnMainBurnercontrolknobtoIGNITE/HIGH, atthesametime,press andholdelectronic
ignition button tolight the burner.

CAREAND MAINTENANCE
StainlessSteel
Therearemanystainlesssteelcleanersavailable. Alwaysusethemildestcleaningprocessfirst,
scrubbinginthedirection ofthegrain.Donotusesteelwoolasitwillscratchthe surface.Totouchup
noticeablescratchesinthe stainless steel,sandverylightlywithdry100 grit sand paperinthedirection of
the grain.
Greasespecks cangatherand bakeontothesurfacesofthestainlesssteel,givingtheappearanceof rust.
Forremoval,useanabrasivepadwithastainless steelcleaner.
Cooking Grates
The easiest waytoclean the grillisimmediatelyaftercookingiscompleted andthe flameshavebeen
turnedoff.
WearaBBQmitttoprotect yourhandfromheatandsteam.
Scrub the hotcookinggratesbydippingabristledBBQbrushintap water.Cleaningwillbemoredifficult
if thegrilliscooled off.
Grease Pan
The greasepanshouldbeemptied,wiped downandwashedaftereachusewithamilddetergentand
warmwatersolution.Checkthegreasepanfrequentlyanddonotallowexcess greasetoaccumulateand
flowout ofthegreasepan.
Grill Burners
Extremecareshouldbetakenwhen removing aburner.It mustbe correctlycenteredontheorifice
beforeanyattemptismadetorelight the grill.Frequency ofcleaningwill dependonhowoften you use
the grill.
Failuretoproperly placetheburnerovertheorificecouldcauseafiretooccurbehind andbeneaththe
valvepanel,therebydamagingthegrill andmakingit unsafetooperate.
Beforecleaning,makesurethegassupplyandcontrolknobsareinthe “OFF”positionand theburners
have cooled.
Toremovethemainburnersforcleaning:
1.Locatetheburnerscrewat the rearof thefirebox.
2.Removethescrewand lifttheburneroutofthefirebox.
Toclean thegrillburners:
1.Clean the exteriorof the burnerwithawirebrush.
Useametalscraperforstubbornstainsordebris.
2.Clearcloggedportswithastraightenedpaperclip.
Neveruseawooden toothpickasit maybreakoff
andclog theport.
3.Checkandclean burners/ venturetubesforinsects
andinsectnests. Acloggedtubecanleadtoafirebeneath,
andbehindthe maincontrolpanel.
Toreinstallthemainburners:
1. Inserttheburneroverthemainburnergasvalve(part#15on Page26).
2. Makesurethe orificestud(A)is inside the burnerventure(B)asshowninFig.23.
3. Align the burnerscrewholewiththefireboxhole,insert screwandtighten.
