GENERAL SAFETY RULES
GENERAL SAFETY RULES - FOR ALL BATTERY OPERATED TOOLS
1 WARNING! READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
2 Work area
2.1 Keep your work area clean and well lit. Cluttered benches and dark areas invite accidents.
2.2 Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or
dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
2.3 Keep bystanders, children, and visitors away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose
control.
3 Electrical safety
3.1 Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry the tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or
moving parts. Replace damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords may create a fire.
Applies only to tools with a separable battery pack. (Separable means in a separate enclosure from the tool and connected to the tool by a cord).
3.2 A battery operated tool with integral batteries or a separate battery pack must be recharged only with the
specified charger for the battery. A charger that may be suitable for one type of battery may create a risk of fire when used
with another battery.
3.3 Use battery operated tool only with specifically designated battery pack. Use of any other batteries may create a
risk of fire.
4. Personal safety
4.1 Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power
tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power
tools may result in serious personal injury.
4.2 Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves
away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
4.3 Avoid accidental starting. Be sure the switch is in the locked or off position before inserting the battery pack.
Carrying tools with your finger on the switch or inserting the battery pack into a tool with the switch on invites accidents.
4.4 Remove any adjusting keys or wrenches before turning the tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating
part of the tool may result in personal injury.
4.5 Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enable better control
of the tool in unexpected situations.

4.6 Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing
protection must be used for appropriate conditions.

5 Tool Use and Care
5.1 Use clamps or other practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the work
by hand or against your body is unstable and may lead to loss of control.
5.2 Do not force tool. Use the correct tool for your application. The correct tool will do the job better and safer at the
rate for which it was designed.
5.3 Do not use tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. A tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
5.4 Disconnect battery pack from tool or place the switch in the locked or off position before making any
adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the tool
accidentally.
5.5 Store idle tools out of the reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.
5.6 When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like: paper clip, coins, keys, nails,
screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery
terminals together may cause sparks, burns, or a fire.
5.7 Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained tools with sharp cutting edge
are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
5.8 Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condition that may affect
the tool’s operation. If damaged, have the tool serviced before using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
tools.
5.9 Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for your model. Accessories that may be
suitable for one tool may create a risk of injury when used for another tool.
6 Service
6.1 Tool service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel. Service or maintenance performed by
unqualified personnel may result in a risk of injury.
6.2 When servicing a tool, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions in the Maintenance section of
this manual. Use of unauthorized parts or failure to follow Maintenance Instructions may create a risk of shock or injury.

7 Material
7.1 Before using any material, be sure to read, understand, and follow the instructions of the manufacturer of that
material. Read the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) supplied by the manufacturer of the material and all writing on
the material and the container thoroughly. Material may not dispense properly if it is not at the proper temperature.
Material may pose a health hazard without adequate ventilation.
7.2 DANGER: Do not use to dispense any flammable or explosive material, any material that
contains petroleum distillate(s), or any material that cannot be used safely near sparks or near electric motors. Do not
use this tool, or any other power tool, if any phrases such as "Flammable", "Explosive", "Keep away from heat, spark,
and flame", "Keep away from heat, spark, open flames and any ignition source", "Petroleum Distillate", "Distillates
(Petroleum)", "Disconnect electric motors", etc., appear. This product contains an electric motor. All electric motors
generate sparks and may ignite vapors from materials.
8 Condition of Tool
8.1 Do not use damaged tools. Lockout or clearly mark “DO NOT USE” until repaired. Many accidents are caused
by poorly maintained tools.
8.2 Do not alter or modify tool. Any alteration or modification is a misuse and may result in a dangerous condition.
9 Maintenance
9.1 Do not disassemble tool or battery pack. At conclusion of its useful life, remove battery pack from tool.
Without further disassembly, return battery pack intact for recycling and/or discard tool intact. Disassembly and
reassembly may create an unsafe condition.
9.2 Do not adjust internal components. This may cause an unsafe condition.
9.3 Use only mild soap for cleaning. Other cleaning agents such as gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, ammonia, etc., may
damage plastic parts.
9.4 Always unplug charger before cleaning and when it is not in use. Failure to do so may result in shock or fire.
10 Operation
10.1 WHEN OPERATING THE PA 5000, USE BOTH HANDS. Use of both hands will help prevent dropping the tool
which could cause damage to the tool or operator.
10.2 Do not place hand or finger in front of plungers while battery is attached. This could result in injury to operator.

WHEN FINISHED DISPENSING OR WHEN END OF CARTRIDGE IS REACHED:

1 AVERTISSEMENT ! VOUS DEVEZ LIRE ET COMPRENDRE TOUTES LES INSTRUCTIONS.
Le non-respect, même partiel, des instructions ci-après entraîne un risque de choc électrique, d'incendie et/ou de blessures
graves.
CONSERVEZ CES INSTRUCTIONS
2 Aire de travail
2.1 Veillez à ce que l'aire de travail soit propre et bien éclairée. Le désordre et le manque de lumière favorisent les
accidents.
2.2 N’utilisez pas d'outils électriques dans une atmosphère explosive, par exemple en présence de liquides, de gaz ou
de poussières inflammables. Les outils électriques créent des étincelles qui pourraient enflammer les poussières ou les
vapeurs.
2.3 Tenez à distance les curieux, les enfants et les visiteurs pendant que vous travaillez avec un outil électrique. Ils
pourraient vous distraire et vous faire faire une fausse manoeuvre.
3 Sécurité électrique
3.1 Ne maltraitez pas le cordon. Ne transportez pas l'outil par son cordon. N'exposez pas le cordon à la chaleur, à des
huiles, à des arêtes vives ou à des pièces en movement. Remplacez immédiatement un cordon endommagé. Un cordon
endommagé peut constituer un risque d'incendie.

3.2 Un outil à bloc-batterie amovible ou à batterie intégrée ne doit être rechargé qu'avec le chargeur prévu pour la
batterie. Un chargeur qui convient à tel type de batterie peut présenter un risque d’incendie avec tel autre type de batterie.
3.3 N'utilisez un outil qu’avec un bloc-batterie conçu spécifiquement pour lui. L’emploi d'un autre bloc-batterie peut créer
un risque d'incendie.
4 Sécurité des personnes
4.1 Restez alerte, concentrez-vous sur votre travail et faites preuve de jugement. N'utilisez pas un outil électrique si
vous êtes fatigué ou sous l'influence de drogues, d'alcool ou de médicaments. Un instant d'inattention suffit pour entraîner
des blessures grave.
4.2 Habillez-vous convenablement. Ne portez ni vêtements flottants ni bijoux. Confinez les cheveux longs. N'approchez
jamais les cheveux, les vêtements ou les gants des pièces en mouvement. Des vêtements flottants, des bijoux ou des
cheveux longs risquent d'être happés par des pièces en mouvement.
4.3 Méfiez-vous d'un démarrage accidentel. Avant d'insérer un bloc-batterie, assurez-vous que l'interrupteur de l’outil
est sur ARRÊT. Le fait de transporter un outil avec le doigt sur la détente ou d'insérer un bloc-batterie alors que l'interrupteur,
est en position MARCHE peut mener tout droit à un accident.
4.4 Enlevez les clés de réglage ou de serrage avant de démarrer l'outil. Une clé laissée dans une pièce tournante de l’outil
peut provoquer des blessures.
4.5 Ne vous penchez pas trop en avant. Maintenez un bon appui et restez en équilibre en tout temps. Un bonne stabilité
vous permet de mieux réagir à une situation inattendue.

4.6 Utilisez des accessoires de sécurité. Portez toujours des lunettes ou une visière. Selon les conditions, portez aussi un
masque antipoussière, des bottes de sécurité antidérapantes, un casque protecteur et/ou un appareil antibruit.
5 Utilisation et entretien des outils
5.1 Immobilisez le matériau sur une surface stable au moyen de brIdes ou de toute autre façon adéquate. Le fait de tenir
la pièce avec la main ou contre votre corps offre une stabilité insuffisante et peut amener un dérapage de l'outil.
5.2 Ne forcez pas l'outil. Utilisez l'outil approprié à la tâche. L'outil correct fonctionne mieux et de façon plus sécuritaire.
Respectez aussi la vitesse de travail qui lui est propre.
5.3 N'utilisez pas un outil si son interrupteur est bloqué. Un outil que vous ne pouvez pas commander par son interrupteur
est dangereux et doit être réparé.
5.4 Retirez le bloc-batterie ou mettez l'interrupteur sur ARRÊT ou en position verrouillée avant d'effectuer un réglage,
de changer d'accessoire ou de ranger l'outil. De telles mesures préventives réduisent le risque de démarrage accidentel de
l'outil.
5.5 Rangez les outils hors de la portée des enfants et d'autres personnes inexpérimentées. Les outils sont dangereux
dans les mains d'utilisateurs novices.
5.6 Lorsque le bloc-batterie n'est pas en service, tenez-le à l'écart d'autres objets métalliques (trombones, pièces de
monnaie, clés, clous, vis, etc.) susceptibles d'établir un contact électrique entre les deux bornes. La mise en court-circuit
des bornes de la batterie peut produire des étincelles et constitue un risque de brûlures au d'incendie.
5.7 Prenez soin de bien entretenir les outils. Les outils de coupe doivent être toujours bien affûtés et propres. Des outils
bien entretenus, dont les arêtes sont bien tranchantes, sont moins susceptibles de coincer plus faciles à diriger.
5.8 Soyez attentif à tout désalignement ou coincement des pièces en movement, à tout bris ou à toute autre condition
préjudiciable au bon fonctionnement de l'outil. Si vous constatez qu'un outil est endommagé, faites-le réparer avant de
vous en servir. De nombreux accidents sont causés par des outils en mauvais état.
5.9 N'utilisez que des accessoires que le fabricant recommande pour votre modèle d'outil. Certains accessoires peuvent
convenir à un outil, mais être dangereux avec un autre.
6 Réparation
6.1 La réparation des outils électriques doit être confiée à un réparateur qualifié. L'entretien ou la réparation d'un outil
électrique par un amateur peut avoir des conséquences graves.
6.2 Pour la réparation d'un outil, n'employez que des pièces de rechange d'origine. Suivez les directives données à la
section • Réparation • de ce manuel. L’emploi de pièces non autorisées ou le non-respect des instructions d'entretien peut
créer un risque de choc électrique ou de blessures.

7 Matériau
7.1 Avant d’utiliser tout matériau, s’assurer de lire, comprendre et respecter les directives du fabricant dudit
matériau. Lire minutieusement la fiche signalétique de sécurité du produit (MSDS), fournie par le fabricant du
matériau, ainsi que tous les documents écrits sur le matériau et le contenant. La distribution du matériau peut se faire
d’une manière incorrecte si ce dernier ne se trouve pas à la température appropriée. Le matériau peut présenter des risques de
santé en l’absence d’une aération adéquate.
7.2 DANGER : n’utiliser pour la distribution aucun produit ou matériau inflammable ou explosif, aucun
matériau contenant un distillat du pétrole, ni aucun matériau qui ne pourrait être utilisé sans danger près d’étincelles
ou de moteurs électriques. Ne pas utiliser cet outil, ni aucun autre outil électrique, en présence d’indications telles que «
Inflammable », « Explosif », « Éloigner de toute source de chaleur, étincelle ou flamme », « Éloigner de toute source de
chaleur, étincelle, flamme nue ou source d’inflammation », « Distillat de pétrole », « Distillats (pétrole) », « Débrancher

les moteurs électriques », etc. Ce produit contient un moteur électrique. Tous les moteurs électriques produisent des étincelles
et peuvent provoquer l’inflammation des vapeurs se dégageant des produits et matériaux.
8 État de l’outil
8.1 Ne pas utiliser des outils endommagés. Verrouiller l’outil ou y apposer clairement l’indication « NE PAS
UTILISER » avant la réparation. Beaucoup d’accidents se produisent en raison d’un mauvais entretien des outils.
8.2 Ne pas altérer ou modifier l’outil. Toute altération ou modification constitue un mauvais usage et peut entraîner une
situation dangereuse.
9 Entretien
9.1 Ne pas démonter l’outil ou la batterie. À la fin de sa durée de service, enlever la batterie de l’outil. Sans
procéder à aucun autre démontage, remettre la batterie intacte à un service de recyclage et / ou mettre l’outil intact au
rebut. Le démontage et le remontage peuvent créer une situation dangereuse.
9.2 Ne pas modifier le réglage des composants internes. Ceci peut créer une situation dangereuse.
9.3 Utiliser uniquement un savon doux pour le nettoyage. D’autres produits de nettoyage tels que l’essence, le
tétrachlorure de carbone, l’ammoniaque, etc., peuvent endommager les pièces en plastique.
9.4 Il faut toujours débrancher le chargeur avant le nettoyage de l’outil et lorsque ce dernier n’est pas utilisé. Faute
de respecter ces consignes, on peut provoquer un choc électrique ou un incendie.
10 Fonctionnement
10.1 UTILISER LES DEUX MAINS LORSQU’ON SE SERT DU PA 5000, L’utilisation des deux mains permet
d’éviter de faire tomber l’outil, car la chute de ce dernier pourrait l’endommager ou blesser l’opérateur.
10.2 Ne pas mettre la main ou le doigt devant les pistons plongeurs lorsque la batterie est fixée à l’outil. Ceci pourrait
blesser l’opérateur.
10.3 N’utiliser aucun équipement accessoire. L’utilisation d’équipements accessoires pourrait provoquer des blessures
ou endommager l’outil.
10.4 Lâcher la gâchette et attendre que l’outil s’arrête avant d’enlever la batterie. Il est interdit d’enlever la batterie
ou les cartouches durant de fonctionnement de l’outil. Ceci pourrait provoquer des blessures ou endommager l’outil.

10.5 ATTENTION : lorsqu’on n’utilise pas l’outil, tourner le bouton de commande de vitesse pour le mettre
sur sa position minimum et enlever la batterie. Ceci permet d’éviter un démarrage accidentel de l’outil.

10.6 Il ne faut bloquer la gâchette sur la position « ON » (Marche) par aucun moyen (élastique, ruban adhésif, etc.).
Ceci peut créer un état de fonctionnement dangereux.
10.7 Ne pas mettre en service l’outil lorsque les pistons ne sont pas fixés. Ceci endommagera la cartouche et peut être
dangereux.
10.8 Utiliser uniquement des batteries correspondant à la tension nominale et du même type. Les tensions plus
élevées peuvent constituer un risque électrique. D’autres types de batteries peuvent se détacher de l’outil et tomber,
créant ainsi un risque de blessure corporelle.

•Le bouton de contrôle des doses sert à fixer la durée par pression de détente, pendant laquelle le produit adhésif est
distribué.
•Pour utiliser cette fonction, tourner le bouton de contrôle des doses jusqu’à ce que la quantité d’adhésif nécessaire par

•Pour remettre en place les pistons, ouvrir le levier d’embrayage et pousser ou tirer la poignée de la crémaillère, selon
le besoin.
Orif e dic e la buse de la cartouche
•Aligner la cartouche sur l’orifice pour assurer un alignement précis de la cartouche et un engagement correct des
pistons.
PRÉPARAT ON :I
1. Ouvrir le levier d’embrayage pour permettre aux crémaillères de se déplacer librement.
2. Dégager la crémaillère en tirant sa poignée « hors » de l’outil.
Cas d’utilisation d’une cartouche destinée à être
chargée dans le distributeur avant de fixer le tube
mélangeur :
3. Insérer la cartouche.
4. Aligner la cartouche sur l’orifice de sa buse pour
assurer un positionnement correct.
5. Pousser la poignée de la crémaillère vers l’avant,
en alignant le piston sur les orifices de la
cartouche.
6. Enlever les capuchons et les bouchons se trouvant
au bout de la cartouche.
7. Visser la buse de mélange statique sur la
cartouche.
Cas d’utilisation d’une cartouche nécessitant que le
tube mélangeur soit fixé avant le chargement dans le
distributeur :

1. Relâcher la gâchette.
2. Débrayer.
3. Dégager la crémaillère.
4. Enlever la cartouche.
5. Ranger ou se débarrasser de la cartouche usagée conformément aux directives du fabricant et à toute loi ou
réglementation en vigueur.
6. Pour prolonger la durée de service de la batterie et éviter un démarrage accidentel, enlever la batterie en appuyant
simultanément sur les deux boutons de verrouillage et en faisant glisser la batterie vers l’avant.
