6.Ultron3000andPowerC. TheUltron3000and"PowerC-UserandInstallationManual"describes
activities,operations,technicalspecificationswhichmustbefollowedduringtheinstallationand/or
usageoftheproduct,inordertokeepavalidwarranty.Descriptionsanddrawingsinthatmanualare
suitabletoallowinstallationanduse oftheproducttoskilledpersons. Incase ofdoubtand/orforany
information,pleasecontactourTechnicalService.

Returnpolicy
Anyproductthatis presumeddefectiveshould bereportedto UFLEX USAwithin48hoursofreceiptor
discoveryinthefield.Uponnotification UFLEX USAwill attempttotroubleshoottheproblemwithourcustomer
overthephone. If weareunabletoresolvetheproblem UFLEX willissueaReturnGoodsAuthorization
numberandwerequirethattheproductinquestionbereturnedto UFLEX withallitspartsinitsoriginal
packaging.Theproductshouldbereturnedfreightprepaidto:

1.1Descriptionoftheproductandwarningsforthecorrectuse
T71FCandT72FCmechanicalsteeringsystemsaredesignedtocontrolboatsequippedwithoutboard,inboard or
powerassistedsterndriveengines. SteeringsystemT71FCisusedforsinglecablesteeringhelms,while
steeringsystemT72FCisusedfordualcablesteeringhelms.Bothsystemsmustbeusedwith UFLEX M66
steeringcables.
T71FCandT2FCsteeringsystemsfeatureaPlanetaryGearDesign:three satellite
gearsrotateontheiraxisandatthesametimerotatearoundthecentralhelm
axis(see pictureaside).This allowsforequaldistributionofenginetorqueover
three pointsofthecentralgear,dividingandbalancingthesystemloads. The
benefitsofthis specialdesignareincreasedsystemlongevity,increasedefficiency
andlessenginefeedbackcomparedtosinglepiniongearhelms.
T71FCsteeringsystemis nottobeusedonboatsequippedwithengines thatexceed
themaximumhorsepowerratingoftheboatand/orthespeedof50 knots(57.5mph).
Incase ofengines whichexceedthespeedof50 knots, itis advisabletouse T72FCdualsteeringsystem.
DO NOT DISASSEMBLE ANYPART OFTHEHELMDURINGTHEINSTALLATIONOFTHECABLE.THE
DISASSEMBLY OFTHECOMPONENTSCANGENERALLYCAUSESERIOUSDAMAGETO OBJECTSOR PEOPLE.
THISPROCEDURECAUSESTHEWARRANTY LOSS OFTHEPRODUCT.

UFLEX declinesall responsibilityincase theuserdoesnotfollowtheserulesanditis notresponsiblefor
negligencewhileusingthesystem.
-DONOTPUTYOURHANDSBETWEENMOVINGPARTS.
-Do notdisablethesafetydevices.
-Donotmodifyoradddevicestothesystem,without UFLEX writtenauthorisationortechnical
interventionwhichwillprovethemodificationinthereport.
-Do notuse this equipmentforapurpose differentfromtheoneithas beendesignedfor,whichis
specifiedintheinstallationandmaintenancemanual.
-Do notletunskilledstaff performtheinstallation.

5MAINTENANCE
Poorinstallationandmaintenancemayresult inloss ofsteeringandcause propertydamageand/orperso-
nalinjury.Maintenancerequirementschangeaccordingtoclimate, frequency andtheuse. Inspectionsare
necessaryatleasteveryyearandmustbecarriedoutbyspecializedmarinetechnicians.
Carryoutthefollowingmaintenanceoperations:
-Periodicallywashwithwaterandsoapthecomponentsremovinganysaltdeposit.
-Everymonthcheckandifnecessarytightenall thenutsfasteningthesystem.

Release orseparationofoneofthefastenerscancause failureofsteeringsystemresulting
inpropertydamage,injuryordeath.
-Periodicallychecktheabsenceofcorrosiononthemetalpartsofthecableendfittingsandofabrasions
ontheconduit.
-Replacethedamagedpartsthatcouldcompromise thesteeringsystemintegrity.
