Packing List
Before you begin, open the package and check to make sure it
contains all the parts.
Note:
• When you open the box, please check all the parts carefully to confirm
the parts are the same as the packing list.
• Please read the user manual carefully before installing the camera.
• Make sure to turn o the power source when installing the camera.
• Confirm the power source does not exceed recommended
amounts to avoid damaging the device.
• Contact your local retailer if anything in your package is missing.

• If you are not a technician, you should not try to operate this
device unless you have read this manual carefully. (Note: This
manual is subject to change without prior notice.)
• Turn o the power connected to the device before installing to
avoid damage from misuse.
• The interior of the camera contains precision optical and
electrical instruments. Any form of heavy pressure, shock and
other incorrect operations should be prevented to avoid
damage.
• Do not subject the product to circumstances that exceed the
maximum temperature, humidity or power supply
specifications.

• The default username for this device is “admin”, the password
is left blank. the Default IP address is: 192.168.1.188, the HTTP
port is: 80.

1. Introduction
1.1 Features
• Built-in 10x optical zoom lens- supports up to 1080P and
1~25(30) Frames Per Second.

2. Hardware Installation
2.1 System Requirements
• LAN or WAN Internet to connect to server via PC Ethernet
(by network card or network cable), TCP/IP protocol connect,
we suggest Internet Explorer 10 or later versions.
• Monitor and PC Configuration: CPU: Dicaryon2.8G or later, RAM:
512M or later (Above DirectX 8.1)
• Monitor: 17”, 1920×1080 resolution
• Operation system: Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP,
Windows 7 or later
2.2 Installation Environment
2.2.1 Installation Environment Requirements
Make sure device is installed far away from humid or high-
temperature environments. Select a place where it has adequate
ventilation and avoid installing it on shaky surfaces or near heat
sources.
2.2.2 Recommend Operating Environment
We recommend installing the device in a -20°C~55°C environment.
(The camera will enable a cold start if temperatures are below -20°C,
it will turn on the IR LEDs automatically and should operate normally
after warming up for 30 minutes.)
2.2.3 Hardware Installation
Please make sure LAN and WAN are in working order before
installing. After checking that all network systems are in good
condition, open the box and check the contents. Keeping your hands
clean and dry, remove all the parts that are needed for installation.
2.2.4 Network Connection
LAN connection – Use one network line to connect the IP camera
with the switchboard of the LAN. You can also use one network
line to connect the IP camera with a computer network card or
switchboard.
WAN connection – Use one network line to connect the IP camera
with a router or XDSL Modem/Cable Modem.

3. Operating Guide
3.1 Setup the Internet Explorer Browser
Due to security settings on the Internet Explorer browser, when
you open the IP Camera Login page for the first time you will
need to setup the internet browser as follows:
• Open an Internet Explorer browser.
• Click Internet Option on the Security menu.
• Click Custom Level
• Follow the steps to setup the IE browser.
IMPORTANT: These settings only work in Internet Explorer
10/11 and will not work in Microsoft EDGE browser. Microsoft
has deprecated support for IE10, so please ensure the
monitoring computer can view the Live View screen prior to
installation. Uniden suggests trying other browsers also such as
Opera, Chrome and Firefox.

3.2 Download and Install ActiveX
• Users will need to install ActiveX Control during the first visit
to the IP Camera Login page in the Internet Explorer browser.
• Input the IP address of IP Camera (default address
http://192.168.1.188.) in Internet Explorer to view the login page.
• At the login screen, click Download ActiveX.
• Click Run when prompted.
• A file download screen will pop up, click Install to begin.

• Click Finish to complete the ActiveX installation.
3.3 Login
Open Internet Explorer and input the IP address
(http://192.168.1.188) of the IP Camera. When the login screen
appears, input the username and password. The default
username is admin, the default password is left blank. Click
Login.
3.4 Live View
A live preview screen displays after login.
In the Live View interface, users can access the following
features:
• Master/Slave Stream: Buttons located in the lower left corner
allow you to switch preview modes.
• Voice Intercom: You can set up a voice intercom between the
PC and camera by connecting a sound box to the camera’s
voice output port and a microphone to your PC’s microphone
port. Click the microphone icon and adjust volume.
• Listen: Connect a microphone to the camera’s input port and
use the audio icon to enable real-time calling/listening at
the surveillance area from your PC.

• Snap Picture: Click to take a screenshot of the video. It
will save as a BMP photo and be stored in the specified folder
automatically. The default file storage location is C:\IPCamera
but users can set the location under Setting→Local→Local
Setting.
• Full Screen: Click to enter the full screen preview and
press ESC or right click with your mouse to exit the preview.
• Record: Click to manually record video. Recorded video
files are automatically saved as an mp4 and can be located
in C:\IPCamera. Users can set the location to something else by
accessing the settings under Setting→Loca→Local Setting.
• 3D Positioning: The 3D positioning can be opened or closed
by clicking the 3D button.
• Sidebar: To display or hide the sidebar, click or .
• Image Display: You can adjust the image display settings, such
as image brightness, hue, contrast, saturation and sharpness
using the Image controls on the sidebar:
• Day/Night Switch: You can adjust to the color model, black and
white model or auto setting as needed.
• Image Flip: You can rotate the image horizontally or vertically
using the and buttons.
• BLC: Click the button to open BLC and click the button
again to close it.
• Slow Shutter: Click to open Slow Shutter and click
again to close it.
• Pan-Tilt-Zoom Configuration: Click to open the PTZ
controls.
• User can adjust the camera horizontally 360° and vertically 90°
with the button
• PTZ operation speed can be adjusted from level 1-63 using the
control.

• Area Scan: Use the PTZ buttons to set the area for the camera
to scan. Click to set left limit and to set right limit. The
area scan will be remembered automatically. Click to copy
an area scan.
• PTZ Watch: Under PTZ Watch, users can select the PTZ watch
type (close, preset, CRZ, pattern, area, etc) and set the idle
time. Click to save your settings.
• Preset: To create a camera preset, adjust the camera angle
using the direction buttons and then select a preset number in
drop down list, click to save it. There are 1-255 presets that
can be set. Click the to delete a preset and click to copy
the preset.
• Pattern Scan: Using the drop down list under Pattern Scan,
users can select a pattern scan number and edit the pattern
scan’s name. Click to start recording a pattern, using the
direction buttons to move the camera along a particular path,
click to stop recording. The pattern scan will be
remembered
automatically. Click to copy the pattern scan.
• CRZ: Using the CRZ drop down list, select a cruise number,
click to add a preset by its ID to the cruise path and set the
delay time to however long you want the camera to stop at the
preset location. Click if you need to delete it and to
save it, and Click to copy the cruise scan.

3.5 System Specification Setting
3.5.1 System
3.5.1.1 Basic Information
1) System Information: Click Setting→System→Basic Info→
SysInfo to access the IP Camera’s basic information screen.
• Device Name: Edit the camera name
• Device Number: View the device serial number
• Hardware Version: View the device hardware version number
• UBOOT Version: View the product system UBOOT version
number
• Kernel Version: View the product system kernel version
number
• App Version: View the product software version and the
system version date
• PTZ Version: View the IP Camera model version
• OCX Version: View the OCX version number
Note: Information is based on the version information displayed
in the factory product.
2) System Operation Settings: Click Setting→System→Basic
info→Sysoperate to view the IP Camera System Operations
screen.
• Reset: Restore the system to factory settings
• Reboot: Click to reboot the IP Camera.
• Parameters Type: Select the type of information you need to
access.
• Parameter Input: Select the configuration file you need and
click Parameter Input.
• Parameter Output: Select the configuration file you need and
click Parameter Output.

3) Update: Click Setting→System→Basic info→Update to enter
the IP Camera’s update screen.
• Click and find the specified upgrade package file.
• Click OK to upgrade the system automatically.
• After the system has upgraded successfully, Click OK.
• Reopen the Internet Explorer browser and input the IP Camera
address. After logging in, check to see if the software version
is updated. (Note: After the system is upgraded successfully,
you need to reset camera data in Sysoperate, clear the Internet
Explorer cache and install ActiveX again before logging into
the web system.)

Warning: If you are not a professional technician, do
not conduct a system upgrade. Do not power o while
installing an upgrade.
4) Log query: Click Setting→System→Basic info→Log Query to
view the IP Camera Log Query screen.
• Type: Select the log type: All, Alarm, Exception, Operation or
Information.
• Begin Time/ End Time: Set the time period for the log search
time period.
• Click to display the search results.
3.5.1.2 Manage Users: Click Setting→System→UserManage to
view and manage the IP Camera users.
• Add User: Add a new user and set permissions for that user.
• Modify: Select an added user and modify the user’s password.
• Delete: Delete a user.
3.5.1.3 Pan Tilt Zoom Configuration
1) Serial Setting: Click Setting→System→PTZ Config→
SerialSetting to view the IP camera’s Serial Setting
screen.

3.5.1.4 Record
1) Timer Record: Click Setting→System→Record→Timer Record
to view the IP Camera Timer Record screen.
• Timer Record: Click the box to enable a timed recording.
The recorded video will be stored on the TF Card automatically.
(Note: You will need to turn o the power when inserting or
removing the TF Card.)
• Disp Strategy: In the event of insucient storage space, select
Stop to stop recording or Cover to record over existing
recordings.
• File Len: Set the file length in between 1 and 15 minutes.
• Cur Setting: Set the current video recording time. You can set
up to 10 per day.
• After setting, click Save.
• Start Time: Click to activate the Task Scheduler feature.
• Task Restart: Set a restart time if a scheduled task was
interrupted.
• Cur Setting: Set the time for the current schedule, there is a
maximum of 10 periods per day.
• After setting, click Save.
2) Schedule Task: Click Setting→System→PTZ Config→
Schedule Task, to view the IP camera’s Task Scheduling
screen.
• Address: Click to select or modify the IP Camera’s address
• Baud Rate: Click to select or modify the baud rate.
• Protocol: Click to select or modify the protocol.

2) Record FTP Upload: Click Setting→System→Record→Record
to view the IP Camera Record FTP Upload screen.
3.5.1.5 Time Zone: Click Setting→System→Timezone→
TimeSetting/Summer Time to view the Time Setting and
Summer Time screen.
Time Setting:
• Date-Time: Click in front of Synchronous PC Time to make
the IP Camera’s time match your PC’s time.
• Zone: Select the corresponding time zone from the drop-down
menu.
• Zone Service: Select the appropriate zone service and click
in front of Auto Connect to Service to set the IP Camera’s time
zone sync with the PC.
Summer Time Setting:
• Start: Click to begin the Summer Time setting.
• Begin Time: Set a start time to begin Summer Time.
• End Time: Set an end time to end Summer Time.
• Begin Time: Set the start time of the video recording.
• End Time: Set the end time of the video recording.
• File Type: Choose the upload file type (Note: You will first
need to enable FTP upload under Alarm Conf→IO Alarm→
FTP Upload and set the FTP settings under Network→
Netport→FTP Setting.
For more details please refer to the corresponding
instructions.)
• Once finished, click Save.
Warning: Do not turn the power o while the video
backup is in progress.

• Oset Time: To oset the scheduled Summer Time, choose
from 30, 60, 90 & 120 minutes.
(Note: The Summer Start time should be later than camera’s
time.)
3.5.1.6 TF Card Status: Click Setting→System→TF Status to view
the status of the IP Camera’s TF Card.
• TF Card: View the TF Card status: Success/Failed
• TF Format: View the TF Card’s format
• Total/Used: Display the total memory capacity of the TF Card
and see how much has been used.
• Percent: Display the percentage of card memory that has been
used.
• Format: Click to format the TF Card.
3.5.2 AV
3.5.2.1 Video Channels: Click Setting→AV→Videochn to view
the IP Camera’s Video Channel Settings screen.
• Resolution: Choose the appropriate resolution for both the
Master and Slave stream displays.
• Frame Rate: Select the Frame Rate per second, 1-25(30) frames
are available.
• Quality: Set the video coding quality between levels 1 and 100.
• Profile: Set the video coding level as High, Base or Main.
• GOP: Set the GOP value in between 1 and 50.
• Rate Control: Select the CBR and VBR
• CBR Rate: Set the Constant Bit Rate value for Master: 800-6000
Kbps and Slave:100-1000 Kbps
• VBR Max Rate/VBR Min Rate: Set the Variable Bit Rate value

• Format: Select a video compression format: H264 or MJPEG
• Stream: Choose between Complex Stream and Video Stream,
the default is Complex Stream.
• Click to Save.
3.5.2.2 Video Parameters: Click Setting→AV→Videopara to view
the On Screen Display Over settings screen.
• Font Size: Select the font size the On Screen Display text. Sizes
24-128 are available.
• BPS: Click the box to display the BPS information on the
screen.
• Time: Check the box to display the time on the screen and
select a format from the drop-down menu.
• Name: Label the video with an image name. Check the box to
display the name on the display screen.
• Text: If you wish to display other text on the video display
screen, you can add up to 5 other items by checking the box to
enable it and typing the text in the box beside it.
Note: To adjust the position of the text boxes on the screen, drag
a text frame with your cursor to position it where you want it.
3.5.2.3 Video Cover: Click Setting→AV→Videocover to view the
Cover Setting screen and set a video mask on the camera
display screen.
• Enable: Click to enable the video mask feature.
• Clear All: Click to clear all cover zones and start over.
• Create Cover Zone: Using your mouse, you can set a cover
zone on the preview window by clicking and dragging to form
a shape.
• PTZ Control: The camera position can be adjusted using the
direction arrows and zoom buttons.
• Click Save.

3.5.2.4 Shot Parameters: Click Setting→AV→ShotParam to view
the IP Camera Shot Parameters Settings screen.
3.5.2.5 Image Parameters
1) ImageParam: Click Setting→AV→ImageParam to view the IP
Camera’s Image Parameters screen.
• Black to Color/Color to Black: Depending on the environment,
you can set the Day/Night and Night/Day switch sensitivity in
between 1 and 255.
• AWB Mode: Depending on the environment’s temperature, you
can set the white balance to adjust the color. The Auto option
is best for normal light.
• Video Formats: Select a video format: 50HZ for PAL and 60HZ
for NTSC.
• EV: Select the exposure, the default is 0
• Exposure Mode: Select from Auto or Handle.
• Max Shutter: Select the maximum shutter speed in seconds.
• Min Shutter: Select the minimum shutter speed in seconds.
• Max Gain: Select a gain value from the drop down list.
• 3D Dec Level: Select the 3D NR level, the default is Close.
• Click Save.
• Focusing Control: Select a lens focus method: Automatic,
Semi-Automatic or Manual. If you select Semi-Automatic or
Manual, you can use the controls to adjust focus and
zoom.
• AF Sensitivity: Set the Auto Focus sensitivity in between 1 and
255.
• AF Area Select: Select the Auto Focus area to All Region
Focus or Center Focus
• AF Search Model: Choose from Full View, 1.5m, 3m and 6m
models.
• Iris Control: Choose from Auto or Manual iris control, the
default is set to Auto.
• AF Speed: Set the adjustment speed of the camera zoom.
• Digital Zoom: Click to enable digital zoom.
• Click Save.

2) WDR Parameters: Click Setting→AV→ImageParam→WDR
Param to view the WDR Parameters screen.
• WDR Level: Select the WDR level from the drop down list, the
default is Close.
3.5.3 Network
3.5.3.1 Ethernet: Click Setting→Network→Ethernet to view the
Ethernet settings screen.
• DNS Setting: Set the DNS IP address
• Ethernet Setting: Set the IP:192.168.1.188 / Mask:255.255.255.0 /
Gateway:192.168.1.1
• DHCP Setting: If the router comes with a DHCP function,
click to enable and the IP Camera will get the IP address
from the router automatically.
• Click Save.

3.5.3.2 DDNS: Click Setting→Network→DDNS to view the IP
Camera’s DDNS settings screen.
3.5.3.3 Netport: Click Setting→Network→Netport to view the
Netport settings screen.
• WEB Port: Enter the HTTP access port, the default is 80.
• RTSP Port: Enter the video data decoding port, the default is
554.
• Email Setting: Configure the file upload email by entering the
email address, port, username, password, email to send from
and email recipient. (Note: Check Identity Verify to send the
email correctly.)
• FTP Setting: Set the FTP server by entering the server address
(the user’s PC IP address), username, password and the upload
file. (Note: Users must set the same file path in the computer,
the PC cannot create a file automatically).
• Click Save.
• DDNS Switch: Enable or disable the DDNS domain name
function.
• Service: Select the DDNS server type from: 9299.org, 3322.net,
dyddns or No-IP
• Device Domain Name: Input the registered domain name.
• User Name: Input the registered user name.
• Password: Input the registered password.
• Port: Input port number.
• Click Save.
