Install and Charge the Battery
1. Unpackallhandsets,batterypacks,andbatterycovers.
Ifyouneedtoremoveacover,pressinonthenotchandslidethecover
downandoff.
2. Lineupthebatteryconnectorwiththejackinsidethehandset;the
connectoronlyfitsoneway.
3. Pushtheconnectorinuntilitclicksintoplace;tuggentlyonthewires
tomakesurethebatteryissecurelyconnected.
4. Replacethebatterycoverandslideitintoplace.
Connect the Charger
1. UseanACadaptertoconnectthepowerjackoneachchargertoa
regularindoor(120VAC,60Hz)poweroutlet.
2. Placeeachhandsetinachargerwiththedisplayfacingforward.Ifthe

showsthephonenumber(andsometimesthecaller’sname)ofincoming
calls.Contactyourtelephoneproviderformoreinformation.

Using Your Phone During a Power Failure
Ifthereisapowerfailure,youcanstillmakeandreceivephonecallsusing
thebasecordedhandset,includingCallWaitingcallsandchangingthe

willnotfunction.

Enter a 2-digit PIN so you can access your answering

Ring Time
Set the number of rings (

makes the system answer after 2 rings if you
have new messages or after 4 rings if you don’t.
Record Time
Set the amount of time (

Submenu Purpose
Message Alert
Have the base beep every 15 seconds when you have a
new message. The alert stops after you listen to all your
new messages or if you press any key on the base.

Change the language of the system’s voice prompts.

Turn on Call Screen feature (see page 20).

1. Open the menu with the phone in standby. Select

says "Record greeting" before speaking.

your new greeting.
4. To keep the greeting, press
