UNICONNECT+ SUPPORT
UNITRONIC ISUNITRONIC IS AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT YOU THROUGH YOUR
UNICONNECT+ EXPERIENCE. IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY DIFFICULTY
THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS, HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, OR NEED HELP WITH
SOMETHING, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT UNITRONIC
TECHNICAL SUPPORT. WE STRONGLY URGE YOU TO READ THE
INSTRUCTIONS IN THEIR ENTIRETY PRIOR TO CONTACTING US FOR
SUPPORT, AS MANY COMMON FREQUENTLY ENCOUNTERED QUESTIONS
AREARE ANSWERED, BASIC FUNCTIONS, FUNCTIONALITY, AND PROCEDURES

1. Connect your UniConnect+ cable to a working USB port on your computer. Ensure that the device has
connected to Windows prior to proceeding.
2. Open UniConnect+ by double clicking on the shortcut created or by navigating to the Start Menu > All
Programs > Unitronic > UniConnect+
3. Please Login using your UniConnect+ User Login Credentials that you’ve created during Account
Registration.

6. UniConnect+ will prompt you to confirm the VIN. It is VERY important that you confirm the VIN is correctly
displayed. If the VIN is NOT correctly displayed, please stop and contact Unitronic immediately. If the VIN is
correctly displayed, click “CONFIRM” to proceed.
NOTE: Confirming the incorrect VIN will render the UniConnect+ cable locked permanently.
Unitronic is unable to assist in unlocking the cable after it has been permanently locked.
4. Please connect your UniConnect+ cable into the OBD-2 port of the vehicle and switch the ignition to the
ON position, without the engine running.
5. UniConnect+ will detect the ECU.

7. This section of the tutorial is pertaining to a Performance Engine (ECU) Flash, so select “Performance
Engine Flash”.

10. Next, UniConnect+ will display the Available Stages of Performance Software Calibrations “TUNED
FILES” that are available for you to program to your ECU. Click on the button corresponding to the Tuned File
that you would like to flash onto your ECU memory. BE AWARE, once you click on the Tuned File, you are
committed to flashing your ECU memory and there are no further options to go back or cancel the process. IF
you would like to go back, before selecting a Tuned File, please click on the button for the “Back” arrow on the
right side of the screen.
9. If there are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes present within the ECU memory, UniConnect+ will collect the
DTC’s and display them for you to review. At this point, you may choose to click “CANCEL” to go back to the
home screen, or “NEXT” to proceed forward.
NOTE: Unitronic strongly suggests that if there are DTCs present within the ECU memory, to click
“CANCEL” and seek properly professional diagnosis leading to a resolution of such, prior to
programming Unitronic Performance Software onto your ECU.

12. When UniConnect+ is finished programming the ECU memory, UniConnect+ will display such and
prompt you to switch the ignition OFF, then click “NEXT”.
11. After the selected Tuned File is downloaded from Unitronic, UniConnect+ will display very important
information that MUST be complied with prior to starting the programming session with the ECU. Once you
have read and fully understand the information provided for you to read, please click “I Agree and Ready to
Start”, to confirm that you have read and understand the risks involved in programming your ECU memory.
AATTENTION: The programming session should NOT be interrupted for ANY reason at all. There are
absolutely no reasons why the programming session should be interrupted and it is your
responsibility to ensure such.

14. Next, switch the ignition back ON (but again, without starting the engine), and then click “NEXT” to
re-initialize the ECU to ensure all is OK.
13. Next, switch the ignition back ON (but without starting the engine), and then back OFF again. Then click
“NEXT”.

16. Finally, UniConnect+ will provide you with confirmation the ECU has been programmed and re-initialized
successfully. Please now switch the ignition OFF and click “DONE” to complete the programming session.
15. UniConnect+ will, again, display any DTCs found in the ECU memory and display them for you, if any are
found. If not DTCs are present, it will skip to the next step immediately.
