NORMAS GENERALES DE SEGURIDAD
Esta TARRAJA tiene características que harán
su trabajo más rápido y fácil. Seguridad, como-
didad y confiabilidad fueron previstos como
prioridad para el diseño del mismo, haciendo
más fácil su operación.
ADVERTENCIA: Lea todas las advertencias
de seguridad y todas las instrucciones. La omi-
sión de alguna de las advertencias e instruccio-
nes que se enlistan a continuación puede dar
como resultado un choque eléctrico, fuego y/o
un daños serios. CONSERVE TODAS LAS AD-
VERTENCIAS Y TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES.
NOTA: La expresión “herramienta” en las ad-
vertencias se refiere a la herramienta eléctri-
ca que se conecta a la fuente de alimentación
(con cable) o a la herramienta que se acciona a
batería (sin cable).
SEGURIDAD EN EL ÁREA DE TRABAJO
Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien ilu-
minada. Las áreas desordenadas y oscuras pro-
vocan accidentes.
No maneje herramientas eléctricas en atmós-
feras explosivas, tales como en presencia de
líquidos inflamables, gases o polvo. Las herra-
mientas eléctricas crean chispas que pueden
encender el polvo o los humos.
Mantenga alejados a los niños y curiosos
mientras maneja una herramienta eléctrica.
Las distracciones pueden causarle la pérdida
del control.
SEGURIDAD ELÉCTRICA
La clavija de la herramienta eléctrica debe
coincidir con receptáculo. No modificar nunca
la clavija de ninguna manera. No usar ningún
adaptador de clavijas con herramientas eléctri-
cas puestas a tierra. Clavijas no modificadas y
bases coincidentes reducirán el riesgo de cho-
que eléctrico.
Evite el contacto del cuerpo con superficies
puestas a tierra como tuberías, radiadores, co-
cinas eléctricas y refrigeradores. Hay un riesgo
aumentado de choque eléctrico si su cuerpo
está puesto a tierra.
No exponga las herramientas eléctricas a la llu-
via o a condiciones de humedad. El agua que
entre en la herramienta aumentará el riesgo
de choque eléctrico.
No abuse del cable. No usar nunca el cable para
llevar, levantar o desenchufar la herramienta
eléctrica. Mantenga el cable lejos del calor,
aceite, cantos vivos o piezas en movimiento.
Los cables dañados o enredados aumentan el
riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Cuando maneje una herramienta eléctrica en
el exterior, use una prolongación de cable ade-
cuada para uso en el exterior. El uso de una
prolongación de cable adecuada para uso en el
exterior reduce el riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Si el Uso de una herramienta en un lugar hú-
medo es inevitable, use una alimentación pro-
tegida por un dispositivo de corriente residual
(RCD).
EXTENSIONES DE CABLE
NOTA: El uso de cables dañados incrementa el
riesgo de descargas eléctricas o quemaduras.
Si es necesario un cable de extensión, debe ser
usado un cable con el tamaño adecuado de los
conductores. La tabla de la siguiente página,
muestra el tamaño correcto para usar depen-
diendo en la longitud del cable y el rango de
amperaje especificado en la etiqueta de valo-
res nominales del producto. Si está en duda,
use el rango próximo más grande.
Siempre use cables de extensión listados en UL,
CSA ó NOM. TAMAÑOS RECOMENDADOS DE
EXTENSIONES DE CABLE:
Cuando esté usando el producto afuera, use
una extensión para exteriores marcadas con lo
siguiente: “WA” o “W”. Estas extensiones están
pensadas para trabajar en exteriores y reducen
el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.

SEGURIDAD PERSONAL
Esté alerta, vigile lo que está haciendo y use el
sentido común cuando maneje una herramien-
ta eléctrica. No use una herramienta eléctrica
cuando esté cansado o bajo la influencia de
drogas, alcohol o medicamentos. Un momento
de distracción mientras maneja herramientas
eléctricas puede causar un daño personal serio.
Use equipo de seguridad. Lleve siempre pro-
tección para los ojos. La utilización para las
condiciones apropiadas de un equipo de segu-
ridad tal como mascarilla antipolvo, zapatos no
resbaladizos, gorro duro, o protección para los
oídos reducirá los daños personales.
Evite un arranque accidental. Asegúrese de
que el interruptor está en posición apagado
antes de conectar a la red y/o a la batería, co-
ger o transportar la herramienta. Transportar
herramientas eléctricas con el dedo sobre el
interruptor o enchufar herramientas eléctricas
que tienen en interruptor en posición encendi-
do invita a accidentes.
Retire llaves o herramienta antes de arrancar
la herramienta eléctrica. Una llave o herra-
mienta dejada unida a una pieza rotativa de
una herramienta eléctrica puede causar un
daño personal.
No se sobrepase. Mantenga los pies bien asen-
tados sobre el suelo y conserve el equilibrio en
todo momento. Esto permite un mejor control
de la herramienta eléctrica en situaciones in-
esperadas.
Vista adecuadamente. No vista ropa suelta o
joyas. Mantenga su pelo, su ropa y guantes
alejados de las piezas en movimiento. La ropa
suelta, las joyas o el pelo largo pueden ser co-
gidos en las piezas en movimiento.
Si hay dispositivos para la conexión de medios
de extracción y recolección de polvo, asegúre-
se de que éstos estén conectados y se usen co-
rrectamente. El uso de estos dispositivos puede
reducir los peligros relacionados con el polvo.
IMPORTANTE: Este aparato no se destina
para utilizarse por personas (incluyendo niños)
cuyas capacidades físicas, sensoriales o menta-
les sean diferentes o estén reducidas, o carez-
can de experiencia o conocimiento, a menos
que dichas personas reciban una supervisión o
capacitación para el funcionamiento del apa-

UTILIZACIÓN Y CUIDADOS DE LAS
HERRAMIENTAS ELÉCTRICAS
No fuerce la herramienta eléctrica. Use la he-
rramienta eléctrica correcta para su aplicación.
La herramienta eléctrica correcta hará el tra-
bajo mejor y más seguro al ritmo para la que
fue concebida.
No use la herramienta eléctrica si el interrup-
tor no gira “encendido” y “apagado”. Cual-
quier herramienta eléctrica que no pueda con-
trolarse con el interruptor es peligrosa y debe
repararse.
Desenchufe la clavija de la fuente de alimen-
tación y/o de la batería antes de efectuar
cualquier ajuste, cambio de accesorios, o de
almacenar las herramientas eléctricas. Tales
medidas preventivas de seguridad reducen el
riesgo de arrancar la herramienta accidental-
mente.
Almacene las herramientas eléctricas inactivas
fuera del alcance de los niños y no permita el
manejo de la herramienta eléctrica a personas
no familiarizadas con las herramientas o con
estas instrucciones. Las herramientas eléctricas
son peligrosas en manos de usuarios no entre-
nados.
Mantenga las herramientas eléctricas. Com-
pruebe que las partes móviles no estén des-
alineadas o trabadas, que no haya piezas ro-
tas u otras condiciones que puedan afectar la
operación de las herramientas eléctricas. Las
herramientas eléctricas se reparan antes de su
uso, cuando están dañadas. Muchos acciden-
tes son causados por herramientas eléctricas
pobremente mantenidas.
Mantenga las herramientas de corte afiladas y
limpias. Las herramientas de corte mantenidas
correctamente con los bordes de corte afilados
son menos probables de trabarse y más fáciles
de controlar.
Use la herramienta eléctrica, accesorios y pun-
tas de herramienta, etc. de acuerdo con estas
instrucciones y de la manera prevista para el
tipo particular de herramienta eléctrica, te-
niendo en cuenta las condiciones de trabajo
y el trabajo a desarrollar. El uso de la herra-

mienta eléctrica para aplicaciones diferentes
de las previstas podría causar una situación de
peligro.
SERVICIO
Haga revisar su herramienta eléctrica por un
servicio de reparación calificado usando sola-
mente piezas de reemplazo idénticas. Esto ga-
rantizará que la seguridad de la herramienta
eléctrica se mantiene.
ADVERTENCIAS DE SEGURIDAD
PARA TARRAJA ELÉCTRICA
• VIGILE LA MÁQUINA EN RALENTÍ
• Familiarícese con su funcionamiento. Lubri-
que la máquina antes de roscar.
• Cuando trabaje con un generador. Asegure
una potencia mínima de salida de 2.8 KWA.
1. No rosque sin usar la prensa fija tubo. Incluso
para roscar las medidas más pequeñas del tubo
deberá emplear la prensa fija tubos.
2. Asegúrese del perfecto montaje de la prensa
fija tubos. En caso de una mala sujeción la má-
quina girará sobre el cabezal de roscado y pro-
vocar un accidente dañar al usuario. El perno
de la prensa fija tubos, está suelto en la cubier-
ta de la carcasa y debe roscarse en el barreno
correspondiente del cuerpo.
3. Compruebe el estado del interruptor de
encendido. Asegúrese que el interruptor de
encendido se desbloquea automáticamente al
quitar la presión sobre él.
4. Uso de extensiones eléctricas. Asegúrese que
el cable sea lo más grueso y corto posible. La
extensión eléctrica deberá ser de más de 15 A
y nunca sobrepasará los 30 metros de longitud.
5. No roscar sin una lubricación abundante y
continua. Una buena lubricación alargará la
vida de su máquina y cabezas de la tarraja.
También mejorará la calidad de rosca.
6. Siempre rosque a la velocidad de trabajo.
El roscado de derecha a izquierda deberá ser
hecho a la velocidad indicada en la palanca de
cambio de marcha en reversa en la dirección
de la flecha. Una velocidad rápida sólo será
utilizada para desenroscar la cabeza del tubo
roscado. Para un roscado a la izquierda inserte
la cabeza de roscado en el extremo opuesto del
motor y mantenga la rotación en dirección de
trabajo.
7. No cambie velocidad de marcha durante la
operación de roscado. Una vez finalizada la
rosca, pare la máquina y realice el cambio de
marcha en reversa para liberar el tubo.

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
1. Antes de realizar cualquier operación con la
máquina asegúrese de leer todas las instruccio-
nes de seguridad.
2. Fije la abrazadera del tubo de forma segura
y compruebe que la prensa de pernos de an-
claje está paralela al tubo a roscar. El perno, se
debe extender sobre el extremo del tubo apro-
ximadamente de 1 o 1,5 cm.

3. Elija el cabezal de roscado, según sus necesi-
dades y móntela en el acoplamiento octagonal
en la máquina. Primero colocar el adaptador
Cuando se utiliza un cabezal de 1 1/4 pulga-
das. Para rosca derecha inserte el cabezal de
roscado en la parte delantera de la máquina.
Para rosca a la izquierda inserte el cabezal de
roscado en el extremo opuesto de la máquina.
4. Cuando se utiliza el adaptador, esta debe ser
insertada directamente en el acoplamiento oc-
tagonal de la máquina en el mismo lugar en el
que se ha insertado el cabezal de roscado (ros-
ca a derecha por la cara frontal e izquierda por
la opuesta) y asegurarse por su tapa roscada.
5. Para insertar el cabezal en el adaptador, des-
place la parte móvil de este último en sentido
opuesto a las manecillas del reloj hasta que
esté completamente insertada. Esta parte se
ajustará en el cabezal. Para quitarlo proceda
de forma inversa.
6. A continuación inserte la máquina en el tubo
y asegúrese de que está guiado de forma segu-
ra en la carcasa por el perno de la abrazadera
del tubo.
7. Compruebe que la palanca de marcha atrás
esté colocada correctamente (la flecha está
en la dirección de operación). Presione el in-
terruptor de encendido con la mano derecha.
La rotación se iniciará inmediatamente. Ahora
la cabeza debe ser movida hacia el tubo para
iniciar el proceso de roscado presionando la
máquina.
8. Tan pronto como se haya iniciado el roscado,
lubrique constante y abundantemente el cabe-
zal con aceite de roscar.
9. Una vez conseguida la longitud de rosca
adecuada (en una rosca normal nunca deberá
sobresalir el tubo de la cabeza de tarraja), pare
el motor. Cambie la posición de la palanca en
reversa y presione el interruptor de encendido.
La máquina comenzará a desenroscar la cabeza
y el tubo quedará libre.
ATENCIÓN:
La velocidad rápida es
solo para desenroscar
el cabezal. No rosque
nunca con esta velo-
cidad.
MANTENIMIENTO
Antes de realizar cualquier trabajo en la má-
quina, desconectar el enchufe de la toma de
corriente.
1. Cable y enchufe. Tanto el cable como el en-
chufe deben encontrarse en condiciones ópti-
mas. Examínelos a intervalos regulares.
2. Interruptor de encendido. Compruebe que
el interruptor de la máquina se desbloquea
automáticamente al liberarlo de la presión de
los dedos. En caso de detectar alguna anomalía
llévelo a centro de servicio inmediatamente.
3. Carbones. Compruebe con frecuencia el des-
gaste de los carbones y que tengan un contac-
to perfecto con el rotor. Cambie los carbones
cuando su longitud haya quedado reducida a
1/3 de la longitud original.
4. Motor y rotor. Por cada 100 horas de uso,
quite el polvo del carbón que haya en el motor
y en el porta carbones. El rotor del motor de-
berá estar limpio en todo momento y su super-
ficie tendrá que ser uniforme (de color bronce
claro).
5. Cabezales de roscado. Asegúrese que la ca-
beza que vaya a utilizar no tenga los peines
dañados, ya que la calidad de la rosca se verá
gravemente deteriorada. Manténgalas limpias
de rebaba para lograr un roscado de calidad y
una mayor vida.
6. Caja de engranes. Cada 500 horas de funcio-
namiento debe realizarse un cambio de grasa.
Tras desmontar la máquina, limpie todos los
mecanismos para eliminar la grasa usada. Se-
car las piezas con aire a presión seco y aplicar
la nueva grasa, con las manos bien limpias. No
usar líquidos solventes. La cantidad de grasa
necesaria para realizar un buen engrase es de
300 gr aproximadamente. No es aconsejable
una aplicación excesiva de grasa porque puede
aumentar la temperatura de la máquina.
Tipo de grasa: LGMT2 de SKF o similar. Aconse-
jamos que esta operación sea realizada por un
centro de servicio autorizado.
7. Desmontaje de la caja de engranes. Al des-
montar la tapa de la caja de engranes no in-
troduzca objetos punzantes tales como puntas,
destornilladores y articulos parecidos, entre las
caras de unión del cuerpo y tapa. El procedi-
miento adecuado para removerlo, será golpear
suavemente con un mazo plástico en la cara
frontal.

8. Fija tubos. Asegúrese que la mordaza de la
prensa fija-tubos está en buenas condiciones.
Reemplácela si observa deslizamiento del tubo.
9. El mantenimiento y la reparación de la má-
quina debe ser realizado por un especialista.
Todas las reparaciones deben ser realizadas
por un especialista en un centro de servicio
autorizado y sólo piezas originales deben ser
utilizados.
SOLUCIONADOR DE PROBLEMAS
ADVERTENCIA: Si necesita cualquier servi-
cio adicional a los que a continuación se de-
tallan consulte con el servicio técnico más cer-
cano.
NO HAY POTENCIA SUFICIENTE
• Asegúrese de que el cable de extensión no
sea demasiado largo o que no tiene sección
suficiente.
• Asegúrese de que se está utilizando la veloci-
dad de trabajo adecuada.
• La abrazadera del tubo debe estar bien ase-
gurado (atornillado paralelo al tubo).
• Compruebe el estado de funcionamiento del
cabezal de roscado.
• Lubrique continua y abundantemente las ca-
bezas de tarraja.
• Asegúrese de que el tubo se puede roscar.
ROSCADO DESCENTRADO
• Compruebe el buen posicionamiento de la
prensa fija tubos (paralelo al tubo).
• Compruebe la calidad y el estado del tubo.
INSUFICIENTE LONGITUD DE ROSCA
• Compruebe que el fija-tubos esté correcta-
mente colocado.
• Compruebe que no haya una obstrucción en-
tre la máquina y el fija-tubos.
INSUFICIENTE CALIDAD DE ROSCA
• Compruebe que los peines estén en buenas
condiciones.
• Compruebe que se esté lubricando continua
y abundantemente
• Compruebe la calidad del tubo.
• Compruebe que el aceite de roscado sea de
calidad adecuada.
MAL AJUSTE DE LA CABEZA DE TARRAJA.
• Asegúrese de emplear el adaptador en las
medidas adecuadas (hasta 1 1/4”).
• Compruebe que utiliza una cabeza de tarraja
adecuada.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Your ELECTRIC THREADER has many features
that will make your job faster and easier. Safe-
ty, performance and reliability have been given
top priority in the design of this tool, qualities
to make easy to maintain and to operate.
WARNING: Read and understand all in-
structions. Failure to follow all indications list-
ed below, may result in electric shock, fire and/
or serious personal injury.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
SAFETY IN WORKING AREA
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Clut-
tered benches and dark areas may cause acci-
dents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmo-
spheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Some power tools create
sparks which may provoke fire.
Keep away observers, children and visitors
while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
ELECTRIC SAFETY
Double insulation eliminates the need for the
three wire grounded power cord and ground-
ed power supply system.
Avoid the body contact with grounded surfac-
es such as pipes, radiators and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if
your body is grounded.
Don’t expose power tools to rain or wet condi-
tions. The presence of water into power tools
will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse of the power cord. Never use the
power cord to carry the tool and do not pull
the plug off the outlet. Keep the cable away of
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Replace
damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outside, use an
outdoor extension cord marked “W-A” or “W”.
These cords are rated for outdoor use and re-
duce the risk of electric shock.
EXTENSION CORDS
Replace damaged cords immediately. The use
of damaged cords can shock, burn or electric
shock. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord
with adequate size conductors should be used
to prevent excessive voltage drop, loss of pow-
er or overheating. The table below shows the
correct size to use, depending on cord length
and nameplate amperage rating of tools. In
case of doubt use the next heavier gauge. Al-
ways use UL listed extension cords.
SIZE RECOMMEND EXTENSION CABLES
PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power tool.
Don’t use the tool if you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention while operating power
tools may cause a serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing
or jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away of moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
Avoid an accidental starting. Be sure that the
switch is OFF before plugging in. Carrying
tools with the finger on the switch or plug in
the tool switch in ON may cause accidents.
Remove the adjusting keys or wrenches be-
fore turning the tool on. A wrench or a key
that is left close to a rotating part of the tool
may provoke a personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and
balance at all times. Proper footing and bal-
ance enables better control of the tools on un-
expected situations.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye pro-
tection. Dust mask, nonskid safety shoes, hard
hat, or hearing protection must be used for ap-
propriate conditions.
Before connecting the tool to a power source
(receptacle, outlet, etc.) be sure that the volt-
age supplied is the same as that one specified
on the nameplate of the tool. To use a not
specified voltage may cause a serious injury to
the user as well as damage the tool.

IMPORTANT: This appliance is not intended

duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
may be different or reduced, or lack of experi-
ence or knowledge, unless such persons are su-
pervised or trained to operate the product by
a person responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure they do not use
the devices as toys.
TOOL USE AND CARE
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct
tool for the application. The correct tool will
do the job better and more safely at the rate
that it was designed to work at.
Do not use tools if switch does not turn it on
or off. Any tool that cannot be controlled with
the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source
before making any adjustments, changing ac-
cessories or storing the tool. This preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of accidental
starting of the tool.
When the power tool is not in use, store it out
of the reach of children, and do not allow in-
dividuals who are not familiar with the power
tool or these instructions to operate it. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands on untrained
users.
Maintain the power tool. Check for misalign-
ment or binding of moving parts, broken parts,
and any other condition that may affect the
operation of the power tool. If it is damaged,
have it repaired before using. Many accidents
are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Check for misalignment or bonding of moving
parts, breakage parts, and any other condition
that may affect the tools operation. If you find
a damaged tool, take it to service before use it.
Use only accessories that are recommended by
the manufacturer of your model. Suitable ac-
cessories for one tool, may become hazardous
when are used on another tool.
Keep cutting tools, sharpened and clean. Cut-
ting tools in good condition with sharpened
edges, are less likely to stuck in workpieces or
easier to control.
Is recommendable to use a safety device suit-
able, such a thermal and differential switch
when you are using an electric equipment.
SERVICE
Tool service must be performed only by quali-
fied repair personnel. Service or maintenance
performed by unqualified personnel could re-
sult in a risk of injury.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR
ELECTRIC THREADERS
• CHECK THE MACHINE WHEN IDLE.
• Familiarize yourself with the machine Is oper-
ation. Lubricate the machine before executing
any threading operation.
• Working with a generator. Check that there is
a minimum output power of 2.8 Kwa.
1. Do not thread without using the tube clamp.
The tube clamp should be used even when
threading the smallest sizes.
2. Check that the tube clamp is perfectly
mounted. If the tube is not fastened correct-
ly, the machine would rotate on the threading
head, with the consequent risk of injury to the
operator. The tube fastening bolt is left loose
inside the case cover and should be screwed
into its corresponding hole.
3. Check condition of ON switch.
When released of pressure, check that the ON
switch unblocks automatically.
4. Use of extension cables. Check that the cable
is as thick and as short as possible. The exten-
sion cable should be for more than 15 Amp and
not longer than 30 m.
5. Do not thread without abundant and con-
tinuous lubrication. Good lubrication will pro-
long the life of your machine and threading
heads. It will also improve threading quality.
6. Always thread at working speed. Thread-
ing from right to left should be done at the
working speed indicated on the reversing gear
lever in the direction of the arrow. Fast speed
will only be used to unscrew the threading
head from the tube. For left thread, insert the
threading head at the opposite end of the ma-
chine and maintain rotation in work direction.
7. Do not change speeds during the threading
operation. When the threading operation has
been completed, stop the machine and change
gears to initiate reverse movement and free
the tube.

Before attempting to use this product, become

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Before carrying out any operations with the
machine, first read the general safety instruc-
tions and preparations for start up.
2. Fasten the tube clamp securely and check
that the machine is anchor bolt is parallel to
the tube to be threaded. The bolt should ex-
tend over the end of the tube by approximate-
ly 1 or 1.5 cm.
3. Choose the threading head according to
your needs and mount it in the octagonal
coupling of the machine. Fit the adapter first,
when using a 1.1/4” head. For right thread,
insert the threading head ad the front of the
machine. For left thread, insert the threading
head at opposite end of the machine.
4. When using the adapter, this should be di-
rectly inserted in the octagonal coupling of the
machine on the same in which the threading
head has been inserted (right thread: front
side; left thread: opposite side) and secured by
its threaded cap.
5. To insert the head into the adapter, move
the mobile part of the latter counter-clockwise
until it is completely inserted. This will spring
back securing the head. To remove it, proceed
in likewise manner.
6. Next insert the machine in the tube and
make sure that it is securely guided into its
housing by the tube clamp bolt.
7. Check that the reverse gear lever is correctly
in place (arrow in working direction). Press the
electric switch with your right hand. Rotation
will start immediately. Now the head should be
moved towards the tube to start the threading
process by pressing on the machine.
8. As soon as threading has begun, the head
should be constantly and abundantly lubricat-
ed with threading oil.
9. Once the appropriate threading length has
been achieved (the tube of the threading head
should never overhang in a normal thread),
stop the motor. Change the position of the re-
verse gear lever and start the motor. The ma-
chine will begin to unscrew the head and the
tube will become free.
ATTENTION: Fast
speed must only be
used to unscrew the
head. Never thread
on fast speed.
MAINTENANCE
Before carrying out any job on the machine,
disconnect the plug from the mains outlet.
1. Cable and plug. Both the cable and plug
should be in optimum condition. Check them
at regular intervals.
2. ON switch. Check that the machine switch
unblocks automatically when finger pressure is
released. In case of any anomaly, replace im-
mediately with a new one.
3. Brushes. Check frequently for brush wear
and perfect contact with rotor. Change brush-
es when their length is 1/3 of original length.
4. Motor and rotor. The carbon dust accumu-
lated in the motor and brush housing should

• Check correct positioning of tube fastener.
• Make sure that there is no obstruction be-
tween the machine and the tube fastener.
POOR THREAD QUALITY
• Check condition of teeth.
• Check that there is continuous and abundant
lubrication.
• Check quality of tube.
• Check quality of threading oil.
INCORRECT ADJUSTMENT OF THREADING
HEAD
• Use the adapter for appropriate sizes (up to
1.1/4”).
• Check that the appropriate threading head
is being used.
LOCKED SHIFT LEVER
• Move the machine slightly upwards and
downwards.
be removed every 100 hours. The motor’s rotor
should be permanently clean with a uniform
surface (light bronze color).
5. Threading heads. Check that there are no
damaged teeth on the head to be used, as
thread quality could be seriously deteriorat-
ed. Keep clean of swarf to achieve top quality
threading and longer life.
6. Gear box. Change grease every 500 oper-
ating hours. After dismounting the machine,
oil all mechanisms to eliminate old grease.
Remove parts with dry compressed air and ap-
ply new grease with clean hands. Do not use
solvents. Approximately 300 grs. of grease is
needed for a correct lubrication. An excessive
amount of grease is not recommended as it
can increase the temperature of the machine.
Grease type: LGMT2 by SKF or similar. We rec-
ommend that this operation be carried out by
an authorized after-sales service.
7. Dismounting the gear box. Before dismount-
ing the cover of the gear box, never introduce
sharp objects such as tips, screwdrivers, etc. be-
tween the body and cover is connecting faces.
The correct procedure is to tap the front of the
octagon gently with a plastic hammer.
8. Tube fastener (clamp). Check that the tube
fastener clamp is in good condition. Replace
when tube displacement occurs.
9. Machine maintenance and repair should be
done by a specialist. All repairs should be car-
ried out by a specialist and only original parts
should be used.

IMPORTANT: If any additional service is
needed other than those indicated below,
please contact the nearest technical service
station.
INSUFFICIENT POWER
• Make sure that extension cable is not too
long or that it does not have insufficient sec-
tion.
• Make sure that the right working speed is
being used.
• Tube clamp must be well secured (bolt par-
allel to tube).
• Check operating condition of threading
heads.
