Lea las instrucciones antes de usar el hervidor electrico.
Importantes instrucciones de seguridad
Al usar aparatos eléctricos, es necesario seguir
las instrucciones básicas de seguridad indicadas a
continuación:
1. No reemplace el cable eléctrico del hervidor. Si el cable
está dañado, éste debe ser reemplazado por un técnico
eléctrico debidamente calicado.
2. El hervidor no ha sido diseñado para ser utilizado por
personas (incluyendo niños) con discapacidades físicas,
sensoriales ni mentales o por personas que no cuentan
con la experiencia ni los conocimientos necesarios acerca
de su uso, a menos que se encuentren supervisadas
por una persona responsable de su seguridad o hayan
recibido las instrucciones de seguridad necesarias.
3. El vapor y el agua hirviendo pueden causar serias
quemaduras. Siempre coloque el hervidor sobre una
supercie plana y estable.
4. Use el hervidor sólo sobre la base eléctrica.
5. Antes de enchufar el cable eléctrico a un
tomacorriente, verique que el voltaje indicado en la
placa de identicación ubicada en la base del hervidor
coincida con el voltaje de la red domiciliaria. De lo
contrario, no use el hervidor y devuélvalo al distribuidor
o tienda donde lo compró.
6. Para evitar riesgos eléctricos, no sumerja el hervidor ni
la base eléctrica en agua ni en otros líquidos y evite que
el agua ingrese a las piezas eléctricas.
7. Mantenga el hervidor y el cable eléctrico fuera del
alcance de los niños y mascotas. Es necesario supervisar
el hervidor cuando se encuentre en uso y haya niños
cerca.
8. El exterior del hervidor se calienta mucho cuando está
en uso. Tenga cuidado al manipularlo. Nunca tome el
hervidor de la tapa, siempre use el mango.
9. Desconecte el hervidor antes de retirarlo de la base
eléctrica y desenchúfelo cuando no esté en uso.
10. Tenga cuidado del vapor que sale del pico o de la tapa
del hervidor, especialmente al rellenarlo con agua.
11. El hervidor ha sido diseñado solamente para uso
doméstico y debe ser utilizado para los nes para los
cuales fue fabricado.
12. No utilice el hervidor al aire libre.
13. No coloque el hervidor sobre o cerca de supercies
calientes, p.ej., placas vitro-cerámicas.
14. Evite que el cable eléctrico cuelgue sobre el borde de
las mesas o mesones, esté en contacto con supercies
calientes o se enrede.
15. No use el hervidor si el cable o el enchufe están
dañados, si no está funcionando correctamente o está
dañado de alguna manera. Verique periódicamente el
cable eléctrico para observar si hay signos de daños/
desgaste.
16. No abra la tapa si el agua aún está hirviendo.
17. No llene el hervidor sobre el nivel ‘Max’. El agua hervida
puede salpicar al exceder el límite de su capacidad.
18. Para evitar posibles quemaduras causadas por el
vapor caliente, mantenga el hervidor alejado de los
muros y no lo utilice debajo o dentro de muebles.
19. El hervidor no contiene piezas que puedan ser
reparadas por el usuario. Este aparato ha sido diseñado
para uso doméstico y para ser utilizado en lugares como
los siguientes: espacios de cocina en tiendas, ocinas y
otros ambientes de trabajo; hoteles, moteles, casas y
otros tipos de ambientes residenciales.
Antes de usar el hervidor
1. Retire el material de embalaje que protege el hervidor
y la base eléctrica. Antes de usar el hervidor por primera
vez, llénelo de agua hasta el nivel máximo y déjela hervir,
elimine el agua hervida y enjuague el hervidor con agua
fría.
2. Antes de enchufar el hervidor, revise que el voltaje
indicado en la placa de identicación corresponda al
voltaje de la red residencial.

Instrucciones de uso
1. Siempre retire el hervidor de la base eléctrica antes de
llenarlo con agua.
2. Levante la tapa.
3. Llene el hervidor con agua fría entre el nivel MIN y MAX
del indicador de agua.
4. Vuelva a colocar la tapa y deje el hervidor sobre la base
eléctrica. Asegúrese de que la tapa esté correctamente
instalada antes de hacer funcionar el hervidor.
5. Coloque el hervidor sobre la base eléctrica.
6. Enchufe el cable eléctrico en el tomacorriente y
conecte el hervidor.
7. Para que el agua comience a hervir, presione el switch
ON/OFF a la posición de encendido.
8. El indicador de encendido se iluminará y el hervidor
comenzará a hervir. NO RETIRE LA TAPA MIENTRAS EL
AGUA ESTA HIRVIENDO.
9. Una vez que el agua comienza a hervir, el hervidor se
desconectará automáticamente y se apagará el indicador
de encendido.
10. En cualquier momento se puede interrumpir el
proceso de hervido presionando el switch a la posición
de apagado (O)..
11. Después de que el hervidor se ha desconectado
automáticamente, se puede producir un retardo breve
antes de comenzar a hervir nuevamente, comúnmente el
tiempo no es más de 20 segundos.
12. El sistema de desconexión de seguridad se activará si
accidentalmente se conecta el hervidor cuando está sin
agua. Espere 15 minutos para que el sistema se vuelva a
activar antes de llenar el hervidor nuevamente con agua
y encenderlo.
Instrucciones de limpieza
1. Siempre desenchufe el hervidor del tomacorriente
y déjelo enfriar completamente antes de guardarlo o
limpiarlo.
2. No sumerja el cable eléctrico, enchufe, base eléctrica o
hervidor en agua o en otros líquidos.
3. Limpie el exterior del hervidor con un paño húmedo
y luego séquelo bien. No utilice limpiadores químicos ni
abrasivos ya que pueden dañar el acabado exterior del
hervidor.
4. Después de usar el hervidor por algún tiempo, es
posible que se acumule sarro. Para retirar el sarro, llene
el hervidor con agua y agregue jugo de limón. Deje
hervir el agua y luego reposar unos 15 minutos antes de
eliminarla. Enjuague varias veces con agua fría.

Important safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
1. The power cord on this product is not replaceable by
the user. If it is damaged it must only be replaced by a
qualied electrician.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
3. Boiling water and steam can cause serious burns.
Always place the appliance on a stable, at surface.
4. Only use with the power base supplied.
5. Before connecting to the power outlet make sure that
the voltage indicated on the rating label, located on the
bottom of the power base, is the same as the supply
voltage in your home. If not, do not use the appliance and
return it to your dealer.
6. To prevent electrical hazards, never put the kettle or
power base in water or any other liquid, and do not allow
water to enter the electrical parts.
7. Keep the kettle and its power cord out of the reach of
children and pets. Close supervision is required when the
appliance is used near children.
8. The exterior of the appliance will get very hot during
use. Always take care when handling. Never lift the
appliance by the lid. Always use the handle.
9. Always ensure the appliance is switched o before
removing from the power base and unplugged from the
socket before cleaning or when not in use.
10. Beware of steam being emitted from the spout or lid,
especially during relling.
11. This appliance is intended for normal household use
only. It must not be used for anything other than its
intended purpose.
12. Do not use this appliance outdoors.
13. Do not place the appliance on or near any potentially
hot surfaces e.g. oven hobs.
14. Do not allow the power cord to overhang from work
surfaces, or to touch hot surfaces or to become knotted.
15. Do not operate this appliance if the power cord or
plug are damaged, or if the appliance malfunctions or is
damaged in anyway. Check the power cord regularly for
signs of damage/wear.
16. Do not open the lid whilst the kettle is boiling.
17. Do not ll the kettle above the MAX mark. Boiling
water may splash out if overlled.
18. To avoid possible steam damage, turn spout away
from walls and do not use under cabinets.
19. The appliance contains no user-serviceable parts.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and
similar applications such as: sta kitchen areas in shops,
oces and other working environments; farm houses;
by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments; bed and breakfast type environments.
Preparation for use
1. Remove all packing from the kettle and its power base.
Before using the kettle for the rst time, r if it has been
out of use for a long time ll to the max mark and boil,
then discard the boiled water and rinse the kettle out
with cold water.
2. Before connecting the appliance to the mains supply
check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate
corresponds with the mains voltage in your home.
Instructions for use
1. Always remove the kettle from the power base before
lling.
2. Lift the lid.
3. Fill the kettle between the MIN and MAX marks on the
water level indicator with cold water.

4. Replace the lid and place the kettle back on the power
base. Make sure the lid is securely tted on the kettle
before boiling.
5. Position the kettle on the power base.
6. Plug the power base into the power outlet and switch
on at the mains.
7. To start boiling press the ON/OFF switch to the down
position.
8. The power indicator will illuminate and the kettle will
start to boil. NEVER REMOVE THE LID DURING BOILING.
9. When the water has boiled the kettle will switch o
automatically and the power indicator will extinguish.
10. You can stop the boiling process at any time by
pressing the switch to the OFF position.
11. After the kettle has switched o automatically, there
may be a short delay before it can be re-boiled. This is
usually no more than 20 seconds.
12. The safety cut-out will operate if you accidently
switch on the kettle when it is empty or allow it to boil
dry Wait 15 minutes for the cut-out to reset before
relling with cold water and boiling.
Cleaning
1. Always unplug the kettle from the mains supply and
allow to cool down completely before storing or cleaning.
2. Never immerse any part of the power cable, plug,
power base or kettle in water or any other liquid.
3. Wipe the exterior of the kettle using a damp cloth.
Dry thoroughly. Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive
cleaning agents as these may damage the nish of your
kettle.
4. Over a period of time lime scale can build up inside
your kettle. To remove lime scale half ll the kettle with
water and add the juice of a lemon. Boil the kettle and
allow to stand for 15 minutes before discarding. Repeat
several times using cold water only.
Safety, as insertion into a 13 amp socket could cause an
electrical hazard.
