Safety Guide
For safety purposes, the information in this manual must be followed to minimize the risk of
property damage or personal injury.
 Use care when handling the water treatment system. Do not turn upside down, drop, drag
or set on sharp protrusions.
 WARNING: This system is not intended for treating water that is microbiologically un-
safe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Con-
tact US Water Systems for disinfection treatment equipment.

Proper Installation
This water treatment system must be properly installed and located in accordance with the
Installation Instructions before it is used or the warranty will be void.
 Do not install or store where it will be
exposed to temperatures below freezing or
exposed to any type of weather. Water
freezing in the system will break it. Do not
attempt to treat water over 100°F.
 Do not install in direct sunlight. Exces-
sive sun or heat may cause distortion or
other damage to non-metallic parts.
 Maximum allowable inlet water pressure is
125 psi. If daytime pressure is over 80 psi,
night time pressure may exceed the maxi-
mum. Use a pressure reducing valve to
reduce the pressure.
 WARNING: Discard all unused parts
and packaging material after installation.
Small parts remaining after the installation
could be a choke hazard.

 Additional tools may be required if modification to the plumbing is required.
NOTE: The system MUST be vertical to work properly. DO NOT use this system with
the tank in the horizontal positon.
How The Water Treatment System Works
Raw water is filtered by the carbon filter to remove chlorine which is detrimental to the RO
system membrane. The water is then processed through the RO system where 97-99% of
the total dissolved solids are removed from the water. The system will waste around 1 gal-
lon for every gallon it produces. Waste water containing the rejected contaminants is di-
rected to a sanitary drain. Water produced by the RO membrane passes through a calcite
filter where minerals are added back to the water for taste and to reduce the aggressive na-
ture prior to sending the water to the bladder storage tank. When water is distributed from
the tank to all points of use the system will start and refill the water used from the tank.
Where To Install The System
 Place the system as close as possible to
the feed water source.
 The system should be close to an electri-
cal outlet and sanitary drain.
 BE SURE to install the tank close to the
RO system.
 Do not install the system in a place where
it could freeze. Damage caused by freez-
ing is not covered by the warranty.
 Put the system in a place water damage is
least likely to occur if a leak develops. The
manufacturer will not repair or pay for wa-
ter damage.
 If installing in an outside location, you must
take the steps necessary to assure the
system, installation plumbing, etc. are pro-
tected from the elements and contamina-
tion sources.
 Keep the system out of direct sunlight.
The sun’s heat may soften and distort
plastic parts.

System Preparation
1. Remove the carbon tank and tank head from the packaging. Remove the shipping
cap from the carbon tank and install the tank head by placing the upper basket over
the distributor tube and turning it clockwise until hand tight. BE SURE not to cross-
thread the head in the tank. Once hand tight grip the head and turn it an additional
1/4 to 1/2 turn to snug it.

2. Install the 1” x 1/2” reducing bushing in the “IN” port of the filter head. BE SURE to
use Teflon tape on the threads. Make sure the fitting tightens in the head. If the fitting
bottoms out, remove it and put more tape on the bushing. It should snug up before it
bottoms in the port.
3. Install the 1” x 1/2” reducing bushing in the “OUT” port of the filter head. BE SURE to
use Teflon tape on the threads. Make sure the fitting tightens in the head. If the fitting
bottoms out, remove it and put more tape on the bushing. It should snug up before it
bottoms in the port.
4. Install the 1/2” MPT x 3/8” QC fitting into the previously installed bushings on the inlet
and outlet.

5. Mount the RO system on the wall using the proper wall fasteners. It is recommended
that the system is mounted using wall studs. Sometimes a backing board is needed
to secure the studs and the RO system. BE SURE to mount the system level.
6. Install the fittings on the storage tank and quantum disinfection filter.
NOTE: The system will be heavier when it fills with water.
1. Check the bladder pressure in the storage tank and BE SURE it is between 8-10 PSI.
Place the tank as close to the RO system as possible.
2. Attach a 3/8” tube to the carbon filter “IN” port.
3. Attach a 3/8” tube from the carbon filter “OUT” port to the feed water tube on the RO
system
4. Run the concentrate 3/8” tube from the RO system to a sanitary drain.
5. The permeate/product tubing from the RO system should be connected to the quan-
tum disinfection filter inlet.
6. The quantum disinfection filter inlet can be identified by looking at the flow arrow on
the side of the filter. The inlet is the base of the arrow. The outlet is the point of the
arrow.
7. Run a 3/8” tube from the quantum disinfection filter outlet to the storage tank tee fit-
ting.
8. From the storage tank a pipe or tube can be ran to all points of use requiring the fil-
tered water.

System Startup
1. Attached a temporary tube to the carbon filter “OUT” port and convey it to a drain.
2. Slowly open the inlet water valve and allow the carbon tank to fill and rinse until the
water runs clear.
NOTE: A white plastic or Styrofoam cup can be used to check the water clarity.
3. Once the water runs clear attach the carbon filter “OUT” fitting back to the RO system
feed tubing.
4. Plug the RO system into a an electrical outlet and allow the RO to turn on.
5. Open a spigot downstream of the system and all it to run until water starts to come out
of the open spigot.
NOTE: This may take some time. Be patient. There cannot be any air in the system
or lines or the tank will not fill properly.
6. Once there is a steady stream of the water flowing from the open spigot, close it.
7. Allow the system to fill. This may take several hours initially.
8. Flush the system tank once to make sure the tank and quantum filter is flushed.
9. When the tank refills, it is ready for use.

residential place of installation of this US Water Coffee
Shop Reverse Osmosis and Re-mineralization System, US
WATER SYSTEMS, INC. warrants the following:
LIFETIME COVERAGE
Carbon Tank
Free of all costs to you except transportation and labor
charges, we warrant that we will replace or repair the
fiberglass carbon tank, if for any reason it is found to be
defective, because of faulty materials or workmanship.
FIVE YEAR COVERAGE
Storage Tank
We warrant that for five (5) years from the date of
purchase, we will replace or repair the storage tank at no
charge to you except for transportation and standard labor
charges. Storage Tanks damaged due to environmental
issues or improper installation are not covered.
ONE YEAR COVERAGE
RO System
We warrant that for one (1) years from the date of
purchase, we will replace or repair the RO System at no
charge to you except for transportation and standard labor
charges. RO Systems damaged due to environmental
issues or improper installation are not covered.
Warranty
GENERAL PROVISIONS
This warranty does not apply to any commercial or
industrial installations or to any part of the water
conditioner which has been subjected to misuse, neglect,
alteration or accident; or to any damage caused by fire,
flood, freezing, Acts of God, or any other casualty, or if the
original serial numbers have been removed.
These warranties are in lieu of all other warranties
expressed. or implied, and we do not authorize any person
to assume for us any other obligation on the sale of this
water conditioner. No responsibility is assumed for delays
or failure to meet these warranties caused by strike,
government regulations or other circumstances beyond the
control of US WATER SYSTEMS, INC..
