Dieses Produkt ist für den Anschluss an ein originales
Audi MMI System bestimmt und dient der Funktionser-
weiterung des Audi MMI Systems um eine Bluetooth-
und eine AUX Schnittstelle für die Medienwiedergabe.
Das Produkt ist technisch ausschließlich für den vorge-
nannten Gebrauch konzipiert und darf ausschließlich zu
diesem Zweck genutzt werden. Jeder andere oder
darüberhinausgehende Gebrauch des Produktes oder
des Zubehörs gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.
Vorhersehbare Fehlanwendung
Eine vorhersehbare Fehlanwendung liegt vor, wenn das
Produkt zu einem anderen Zweck verwendet wird, als in
dieser Anleitung beschrieben.
Das gilt insbesondere, wenn das Gerät an einer Stelle
installiert wird, wo es die Fahrsicherheit oder die Bedie-
nung beeinträchtigt.
Beschädigungen
Ziehen Sie nicht am Kabel, sondern stets am Stecker.
Knicken Sie das Glasfaserkabel nicht, es bricht.
Beschädigungen jeder Art führen zur Reduzierung des

Montage/Installation
Die Installation soll in einer Werkstatt oder einem Raum
mit ähnlichen Gegebenheiten durch qualifizierte Perso-
nen oder Personen, die Erfahrung mit derartigen Instal-
lationen haben, erfolgen.

Beachten Sie die geltenden Bestimmungen zur getrenn-
ten Sammlung von Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräten in
Ihrem Land. Entsorgen Sie Altgeräte nicht über den

Intended Use
This product is intended for connection to an original
Audi MMI system and is used to expand the functions of
the Audi MMI system with a Bluetooth interface and
AUX interface for media playback.
The product is technically designed exclusively for the
aforementioned use and may only be used for this pur-
pose. Any other or additional use of the product or ac-
cessories is considered as not intended use.
Foreseeable misuse
Foreseeable misuse occurs if the product is used for a
purpose other than that described in these instructions.
This applies in particular if the device is installed in a lo-
cation where it impairs driving safety or operation.
Damage
Do not pull on the cable, always pull on the plug. Do not
kink the fiber optic cable, it will break. Damage of any
kind leads to a reduction in the reimbursement amount
in the case of the right of withdrawal and to the expiry of
the warranty / liability and can cause consequential
damage to the vehicle.
Assembly/installation
The installation should be carried out in a technical
workshop or a room with similar conditions by qualified
persons or persons who have experience with such in-
stallations.
Disposal / recycling
Observe the applicable regulations for the separate col-
lection of electrical and electronic waste in your country.
Do not dispose of your old devices with household
waste.
Legal Provisions
In some countries it may be necessary to check the le-
gal provisions before installation and startup of the de-
vice.

Optimale Montageposition:

ACHTUNG
1. Wenn Sie eine werksseitig verbaute DAB-
Antenne im Fahrzeug haben, dann kön-
nen Sie das DAB-Interface mit dieser ver-
binden. Eine zusätzliche Installation der
mitgelieferten DAB-Antenne ist dann nicht
erforderlich.
2. Bei der Installation des Antennenkabels
entlang der Säule ist auf Seitenairbags zu
achten.
3. Das Kabel muss so verlegt werden, dass
der ordnungsgemäße Betrieb des Luft-
schleiers nicht gestört wird.
WATCH OUT
1. If you have a factory-installed DAB antenna
in the vehicle, you can connect the
DAB interface to it. An additional installation
of the supplied DAB antenna is in this case
not necessary.
2. When installing the antenna cable along the
pillar, watch out for side airbags.
3. The cable must be laid in such a way that
the correct operation of the air curtain is not
disturbed.

1. Wenn die Windschutzscheibe sehr kalt ist, wird die In-
stallation der Antenne nicht empfohlen.
2. Die Antenne sollte auf der Beifahrerseite an der Wind-
schutzscheibe montiert werden. Bild A.
3. Entfernen Sie vorsichtig die Säulenabdeckung auf der
Beifahrerseite.
4. Reinigen Sie den Ort, an dem die Antenne montiert
werden soll.
5. Bevor die Antenne 🅒installiert wird, wird die Schutz-
folie entfernt.
6. Die Antenne sollte 15 cm ⓐvon der Oberkante und
7 cm ⓑvon der Seitenkante der Windschutzscheibe
montiert werden.
7. Das Erdungselement 🅐des Antennenverstärkers
muss das Metall des Pfostens berühren 🅔. Es kann
mit dem lackierten Teil der Säule verbunden werden.
8. Das Antennenkabel 🅓sollte so montiert werden,
dass der Seitenairbag nicht beeinträchtigt wird.
9. Der Antennenverstärker 🅑wird vom DAB-Interface
mit Strom versorgt.
1. Installation of the antenna is not recommended when
the windscreen is very cold.
2. The antenna should be mounted on the passenger
side of the windscreen. Picture A
3. Carefully remove the pillar cover on the passenger
side.
4. Clean the place where the antenna will be mounted.
5. Before the antenna 🅒is installed, the top protective
cover must be removed.
6. The antenna should be installed 15 cm ⓐfrom the
top edge and 7 cm ⓑfrom the side edge of the
windsreen.
7. The grounding element 🅐of the antenna amplifier
must touch the metal of the post 🅔. It can be con-
nected to the painted part of the pillar.
8. The antenna cable 🅓should be installed in such a
way that the side airbag is not impaired.
9. The antenna amplifier 🅑is supplied with power by
the DAB interface.

Anschluss de DAB-Interface / Connecting of the DAB Interface
1. Entfernen Sie den werkseitigen ISO-Stecker vom
Steckplatz des MIB Moduls .
2. Verbinden Sie den Stecker des mitgelieferten Ka-
belbaums mit dem nun freien Steckplatz des
MIB Moduls .
3. Verbinden Sie nun den werkseitigen ISO-Stecker
mit der Buchse des mitgelieferten Kabelbaums .
4. Entfernen Sie den Stecker des LVDS-Kabels
vom Steckplatz des MIB Moduls .
5. Verbinden Sie einen Stecker des mitgelieferten
LVDS-Kabels mit dem Steckplatz des MIB Mo-
duls . Den zweiten Stecker verbinden Sie mit
dem Steckplatz des Interface .
6. Verbinden Sie nun den Stecker des werksseitigen
LVDS-Kabels mit dem Steckplatz des
Interface .
7. Verbinden Sie den Stecker des 18-Pin-Kabels mit
dem Steckplatz des Interface .
8. Verbinde Sie den FAKRA-Stecker der
DAB+ Antenne mit dem Steckplatz des
Interface .
9. Fahren Sie nun mit der Anleitung fort.
1. Disconnect the factory ISO connector from the
slot of the MIB module .
2. Connect the supplied ISO plug of the cable har-
ness to the free slot of the radio unit .
3. Connect the factory ISO connector to the
socket of the supplied ISO cable harness .
4. Disconnect the plug of the LVDS cable from
the slot of the radio unit .
5. Connect the plug of the supplied LVDS cable
to the slot of the radio unit . The 2nd plug con-
nect with the Interface .
6. Connect now the plug of the factory LVDS
cable to the slot of the Interface .
7. Connect the plug of the18-pin harness to the
slot Interface .
8. Connect the FAKRA plug of the DAB+ antenna
to the slot of the Interface .
9. Now continue with this guide.

ACHTUNG
Das Interface 4505 ist im Standard auf eine Bildschirm-
auflösung von 800x480 eingestellt. Für eine Änderung
der Auflösung auf 1024x480 müssen Sie den Button 
auf der Rückseite des Interface 3 x innerhalb von 3 Se-
kungen drücken.
CAUTION
The Interface 4505 is set by default in the resolution of
800x480. To change screen resolution 1024x480 should
be pressed 3 times within 3 seconds button 
on the Interface housing

Model 4505
1. Schalten Sie die Zündung wieder ein und starten
Sie das MIB System.
2. Wählen Sie als erstes den MEDIA Button und da-
nach die AUX-Quelle aus.
Information:
•Überdachte Parkplätze, Tunnel, hohe Ge-
bäude oder Berge können das Radios-Signal
stören, im schlimmsten Fall kein Empfang
möglich ist.
•Probleme beim Radioempfang können eben-
falls bei großer Entfernung zum DAB-Radio-
sender auftreten.
•Bei Fahrzeugen mit einer Antenne in der Wind-
schutzscheibe und gleichzeitiger Abdeckung
der Windschutzscheibe durch Folien oder Me-
tallaufklebern, kann es zu Störungen kommen.
1. Switch the ignition on again and start the MIB sys-
tem.
2. First select the MEDIA button and then the AUX
source.
Information:
•Covered parking lots, tunnels, tall buildings or
mountains can interfere with the radio signal to
the extent that the device cannot be used.
•Radio reception problems may also occur in the
case of a long distance from the DAB radio
transmitter.
3. On vehicles with an antenna in the windscreen, if
the windows are covered with foil or metal stickers,
interference may occur.

Im Fenster der Senderliste sind die Multiplexe (Gruppen)
und die Sender sichtbar.
Alle am Standort verfügbaren Sender werden automa-
tisch gesucht und in der Liste der verfügbaren Sender an-
gezeigt.
Sie können beliebige Sender auswählen, als auch die
Sendergruppe für den ausgewählten Multiplex ausblen-
den.
In the station list window the multiplexes and the sta-
tions are visible.
All stations available in the given location are searched
automatically and shown in the list of available stations.
You can choose any stations, as well as the option to
hide the station group for the selected multiplex.

Um einen ausgewählten Sender zu speichern und den
Favoriten hinzuzufügen, drücken Sie den Bedienknopf
für 2 Sekunden.
Bei erfolgreicher Speicherung erhalten Sie eine Bestäti-
gungsmitteilung auf dem Monitor.
To save the currently selected radio station and add it
to the favorites screen, press the knob on the panel
on the control unit for 2 seconds.
Correctly performed operation will be confirmed
message on the screen.
Im Fenster "Erweiterte Informationen" werden Informatio-
nen zum aktuell gewählten Radiosender angezeigt. Um
das Fenster sichtbar zu machen, muss es aktiviert wer-
den in: "DAB-Optionen" (siehe Schritt 17). Das aktivierte
Fenster ist das Hauptfenster des DAB-Radios.
In the "extended information" window, only currently se-
lected radio station information are display. To make the
window visible, it must be activated in: "DAB-options"
(see step 17). The activated window will be the DAB radio
main window.

Im Fenster „Radio: Favoriten-DAB“ ist die Liste der „Fa-
voriten“-Sender sichtbar, die vom Benutzer individuell er-
stellt werden kann.
Das Hinzufügen von Radiosendern zur Liste wird in
Schritt 13 beschrieben.
Das Entfernen eines Senders aus der Favoritenliste er-
folgt unter „Optionen -> Favoriten entfernen „Fenster Pro-
gramm“ (siehe Schritt 17).
In the "Radio: Favorites-DAB" window, only the list of
"favorites" stations is visible, which can be created indi-
vidually by the user.
Adding radio stations to the list is described on step 13.
Removing a station from the favorites list should be
done in the "Options -> Remove Favorite "window pro-
gram” (see step 17).

Um den Auswahlbildschirm zu aktivieren, drücken Sie die

Wenn das DAB-Radio aktiv ist, können Sie auswählen,

Multiplexe.
•Erweiterte Informationen –alle vom ausgewählten
Radiosender gesendeten Text- und Grafikinformatio-
nen sind sichtbar. Wenn diese Option aktiviert ist, ist
das Fenster „Erweiterte Informationen“ der DAB-
Hauptbildschirm. (siehe Schritt 14)
•Verkehrsdurchsagen –Ein-/Ausschalten von Ver-
kehrsdurchsagen (TA)
•Slide show - Schalten Sie den Slide show service
EIN/AUS
•Radio text - text information broadcast by the sta-
tion currently being received.
•Program sorting - how to display the station list.
A-Z –alphabetical sort
Groups –divided in groups by the content of the
multiplexes.
•Extended information - all textual and graphical in-
formations broadcast by the selected radio station
are visible. When this option is active then „Ex-
tended information” window is the main DAB
screen. (see step 14)
•Traffic announcements - Turn ON/OFF Traffic an-
nouncements (TA)
•Slide show - Turn ON/OFF the slide show service

wenn der Bildschirm „Radio: DAB-Favoriten“ ausge-
wählt ist (siehe Schritt 15)
•Senderinformationen –Detaillierte Informationen
zum aktuell ausgewählten DAB-Radiosender (siehe
Schritt 12).
•Sprache - Sprachauswahl für DAB-Radio)
•Systeminformationen –Informationen zur Software-
version und Funktion, mit der Sie die Software aktua-
lisieren können
•Werkseinstellungen - Werkseinstellungen für DAB-
Radio wiederherstellen

Mit den Vor-/Zurück-Tasten
können Sie den nächsten oder
