I. QUICK START INSTRUCTIONS
ATTENTION!
This manual covers installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of
the U.S. Filter PHARM40 ROSystem. Additional manuals are required for
any related equipment (e.g., softeners, prefilters). If you do not have all the
required manuals, call U.S. Filter Technical Support at one of the locations
listed on the Guide to Technical Assistance that immediately precedes these
Quick Start instructions.
Although U.S. Filter strongly recommends that all users read the entire
contents of the PHARM40 RO manual, we also recognize that some
experienced technicians may desire a quick start summary of essential
information.
Your warranty may be voided if installation or operation instructions contained in
the PHARM40 RO System manual are not followed exactly.
At a minimum, please read these Quick Start instructions before attempting to
install or operate your RO system.

1) Installation Precautions
WARNING
Potentially dangerous electrical power is present inside both the Main Control
Panel and the High Voltage Control Panel.
THEREFORE, BEFORE TOUCHING THE INSIDE OF EITHER ENCLOSURE,
CONFIRM THAT AC POWER TO THE RO SYSTEM HAS FIRST BEEN
DISCONNECTED AND LOCKED OUT ACCORDING TO STANDARD
LOCKOUT/TAGOUT PROCEDURES.
