5. Automatic activation
5.1 Connect the head power supply
5.2 Make sure that with the work cycle indicator is in the position of
SERV/PRACA.
5.3 Set the Bypass in the position Output - open, Input - open
5.4 Connect the flow meter, placing it in the Bypass outlet
Before the automatic activation, the head must be programmed in accordance with point 4.
Aer the controller is programmed, in order to move to the next step, that is the procedure of the automatic activation,
follow the steps below:
1. Pour 10 liters of clear water into the brine tank
2. Press and hold "SQUARE" ( ) message "MAN.REG.DELAY" will appear on the screen”
3. Press "SQUARE" ( ) 1 time
4. By means of arrow "up" ( ) or „down” ( ) select
„MAN.REG.IMMEDIAT"
5. Press “SQUARE” ( ) 1 time
6. Press „MENU” ( ) 1 time
Aer performing the above steps, the message "BACKWASH. XX REMAIN" will appear on the screen. XX denotes the
time remaining to the end of a given stage, e.g. 10 min.
When the backwash is finished, the device will automatically skip to the next step - BRINING.
7. When the message "BRINE XX REMAIN" will stop pulsating on the screen, press „SQUARE" ( ) 1 time
The controller will automatically perform the activation of the device, aer finishing the procedure, it must be checked
whether no water of yellow color comes out of the installation, if so, the activation should be repeated (or water should
be passed through the device until the full clarity is obtained).
If aer the activation water is clear, the amount of salt specified in the table given on page 4 of the operating
instructions should be poured into the brine tank.
6. Technical advice
- It is recommended to check input parameters aer each break of power supply.
- The filtering bed is subject to normal wear and tear, the wear and tear of the bed depends on the intensity of use,
physico-chemical properties of water
- Aer mounting the device and performing the activation operations, water hardness should be checked and, if
necessary, its parameters should be adjusted to the demanded values by means of the Bypass valve and adjusting
screw (see BNT165/265 head operating instructions)
- The brine solution volume must constitute a half of the filtering bed volume
- Formation of the so-called salt deposits must be avoided.
IMPORTANT - We recommend to backfill two-element devices as close as possible to the connection
point due to the fact that, aer backfilling, vessels are very heavy. The transport of backfilled vessels
can be difficult, and in extreme cases dangerous due to the lack of carrying handles. Devices of both
types should not be carried nor transported in the horizontal position or "upside-down" as this may lead
to a serious damage. Under no circumstances should devices be moved by holding the control head for
this purpose.
