Before use
Power on the extension ringer
Option 1 - Connect to the power supply
• Plug the small end of power adapter to the
power jack on the extension ringer, and the
large end to wall jack.
Option 2 - Insert AA batteries
(purchased separately)
• Match the polarity markings (+ and -) inside
the battery compartment.
Add and register a extension ringer
Add your new VS014 extension ringer to your
telephone base. Each new extension ringer
must be registered with the telephone base
before use.
Register a extension ringer:
1. Make sure the extension ringer is powered
on with batteries or DC power before
registering it to the telephone base.
2. Place your telephone base into pairing
mode as per the instructions in your
telephone user guide.
3. Press and hold the pair button on the
back of the extension ringer until the
white Flash LED light flashes. The
Extension ringer is now registering to the
telephone base.
Replacing a extension ringer
If you have purchased this new VS014 accessory
extension ringer to replace an old extension
ringer, you must deregister the registered
extension ringer first, and then register this new
extension ringer to your telephone base.
Deregister a extension ringer or all
extension ringers:
• Refer to the User’s manual of your
telephone system to deregister a extension
ringer or all extension ringers.
General product care
Taking care of your extension ringer
Your extension ringer contains sophisticated
electronic and optical parts, so it must be treated
with care.
Avoid rough treatment
Place the extension ringer down gently. Save the
original packing materials to protect your extension
ringer if you ever need to ship it.
Avoid water
Your extension ringer can be damaged if it gets
wet. Do not use the extension ringer outdoors in the
rain, or handle it with wet hands. Do not install the
extension ringer near a sink, bathtub or shower.
Electrical storms
Electrical storms can sometimes cause power
surges harmful to electronic equipment. For your
own safety, take caution when using electrical
appliances during storms.
Cleaning your extension ringer
Your extension ringer has a durable plastic casing
that should retain its luster for many years. Clean it
only with a dry non-abrasive cloth. Do not use
dampened cloth or cleaning solvents of any kind.
Storage
When you are not going to use the extension
ringer for some time, remove the battery from the
extension ringer. Store the extension ringer in a
cool and dry place.

Power on the extension ringer
Option 1 - Connect to the power supply
• Plug the small end of power adapter to the
power jack on the extension ringer, and the
large end to wall jack.
Option 2 - Insert AA batteries
(purchased separately)
• Match the polarity markings (+ and -) inside
the battery compartment.
Add and register a extension ringer
Add your new VS014 extension ringer to your
telephone base. Each new extension ringer
must be registered with the telephone base
before use.
Register a extension ringer:
1. Make sure the extension ringer is powered
on with batteries or DC power before
registering it to the telephone base.
2. Place your telephone base into pairing
mode as per the instructions in your
telephone user guide.
3. Press and hold the pair button on the
back of the extension ringer until the
white Flash LED light flashes. The
Extension ringer is now registering to the
telephone base.
Replacing a extension ringer
If you have purchased this new VS014 accessory
extension ringer to replace an old extension
ringer, you must deregister the registered
extension ringer first, and then register this new
extension ringer to your telephone base.
Deregister a extension ringer or all
extension ringers:

Option 1 - Connect to the power supply
• Plug the small end of power adapter to the
power jack on the extension ringer, and the
large end to wall jack.
Option 2 - Insert AA batteries
(purchased separately)
• Match the polarity markings (+ and -) inside
the battery compartment.
Add and register a extension ringer
Add your new VS014 extension ringer to your
telephone base. Each new extension ringer
must be registered with the telephone base
before use.
Register a extension ringer:
1. Make sure the extension ringer is powered
on with batteries or DC power before
registering it to the telephone base.
2. Place your telephone base into pairing
mode as per the instructions in your
telephone user guide.
3. Press and hold the pair button on the
back of the extension ringer until the
white Flash LED light flashes. The
Extension ringer is now registering to the
telephone base.
Replacing a extension ringer
If you have purchased this new VS014 accessory
extension ringer to replace an old extension
ringer, you must deregister the registered
extension ringer first, and then register this new
extension ringer to your telephone base.

Voluntary Product Warranty
In addition to your Statutory Rights and subject
to the conditions below, VTech warrants that this
product will be free from any defect in materials or
workmanship under conditions of normal use for a
period of 12 months from date of purchase.
VTech do not warrant that the product will be free
from defects if defects are caused by an accident,
misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation,
vermin infestations, lack of reasonable care,
unauthorised modification, loss of parts, tampering
or attempted repair by a person not authorised by
VTech; or where the product has been damaged by
lightning or a mains power surge.
Where a valid claim is made under this Voluntary
Product Warranty, VTech will, at no cost to you,
repair or replace the product within a reasonable
time. Subject to your Statutory Rights, if your claim
under this Voluntary Product Warranty is not valid,
you may be charged a fee under this Voluntary
Product Warranty for the service and for any direct
costs associated with having the product delivered
for service.
To make a claim under this Voluntary Product

return process. You will need to ensure that:
