The Value+ Model HT11A, HT11D, HT11E and HT11F Forehead
Infrared Thermometers ("the thermometers") are for non-contact
human temperature measurement. These thermometers intended
for the intermittent measurement and monitoring of human body
temperature by gently moving the sensor across the forehead.
These thermometers are not a subsitute for a clinical thermometer.
Always use a clinical thermome t er when high accuracy body
temperature measurements are requi red .

~CAUTION
To prevent transmission of disease, avoid direct contact with the skin;
• After heavy exercise always wait at least 10 minutes before taking
forehead temperature readings;
Make sure the skin is dry and that no hair interferes with the
measurement;
• Temperature elevation may signal a serious illness , especially
in neonates and infants, or in adults who are old, frail, or have
a weakened immune system. Please seek professiona l advice
immediately when there is a temperature elevation and if you are
taking temperature on:
-Neonates and infants under 3 months;
-Patients over 60 years of age;
-Patients having diabetes mellitus or a weakened immune system;
-Patients who are bedridden;
-A transplant patient.
• Please consult your doctor if you see symptoms such as unexplained

OPERATING THE THERMOMETER
A. BODY T E MP E RA T UR E M EAS UR EM ENT
1) Set the Thermomet er at body temperature measuring mode
by press ~ -
2) Hold the Thermometer by its handle and point it toward the
forehead to be measured. Measuring distan ce should be 5 to
15cm.
3) Press the trigger to turn the meter on and take a temperature
reading. The temperature read ing appears in the large
displa y. "IN" will be displa yed at the l eft bottom and the
adjusted value is displayed at the bottom right.

4) Release the Trigge r and the r eading w ill ho ld for
approximate ly 7 seconds after w hich the me t er will
automatically shut off. Trigger presses can occur up to a rate
of one a second to quickly log samples.
Fever Guidance (HT11 E a nd HT1 1F)
HT11 E and HT11 F have fever guidance to help user identifying
fever person in a effective w ay . Following table list out the
indications.

8. SURFACE TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT
1) Set the Thermometer at surface temperature measuring
mode by press {j) .
2) Hold the meter by its handle and point it toward the surface to
be measured.
3) Press the trigger to turn the meter on and take a temperature
reading. "OUT" will be displayed at the left bottom and the
adjusted value is displayed at the bottom right.
4) Re l ease the Trigger and the reading will hold for
approximately 7 seconds after wh i ch the meter will
automatically shut off. Trigger presses can occur up to a rate
ofone a second to quickly log samples.

Hold down the 9 for few seconds and the Thermometer will
switch between 'C and 'F.
D. T E MP ERATURE ADJUST
In case of need, the Thermometer allow us er to adjust the
temperature.
1) Press 9 to select the function.
2) Measure the temperature as the procedures li sted above.
3) Press <0; or (0, until t he reading display at t he large display is
same as the know temperature.

&CAUT ION
To avoid damaging the thermometers, do NOT submerge them in
water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, they will damage the case.
The Lens
Blow off loose particles using clean compressed air. Carefu ll y wipe
the surface with a water-moistened cotton swab.
The Housi ng
Use soap and water on a damp sponge or soft cloth.
